Le Cabanon is located in a very quiet area in the south-east of Mauritius, far away from tourism, though just around the corner from the golf courses and water sport facilities from the Morne Brabant and Bel Ombre. The beautiful south coast is wild and natural. Little shops for basics and small snacks are to be found in the village of Le Morne at 2 km or a larger Supermarket in La Gaulette, 12 min by car.
Enjoy lying on the white and fine sandy beach and shallow water in front of the property. Further out it is nice for swimming and snorkelling.
The international and famous Spot for Kite and Windsurf « One Eye » is only 10 minutes away by car. Other schools are at 3 min in the village of Le Morne;
You have the possibility of renting a Fisher boot for trips in the lagoon in the village of le Morne nearby. We can organise a boot with skipper to visit the Island of l’Ile aux Benitiers and to go swimming with the Dolphins.

Transportation
The bus stops right in front of the property. Nevertheless, we recommend a car to visit the surrounding. In fact there are many spots to visit, such as Chamarel and the 7 colour earth, the waterfalls, Riviere Noire gorges, Casela Parc, Le Gris Gris , the Rum Distillery of Chamarel and much more.
