Prestigioso conjunto de apartamentos en un edificio del siglo XVIII ubicado en el centro histórico de Catania, con balcones con vistas al Duomo y al histórico mercado de pescado.
El apartamento se extiende sobre 160 metros cuadrados con techos de 5 m de altura y pisos antiguos decorados y consta de:
 2 enormes habitaciones con un balcón de más de 40 metros cuadrados cada una y comunicadas entre sí. Ambas habitaciones están equipadas con cama doble, armarios y tienen una sala de estar con mesa, sillas, sillones, sofás y TV.
 1 habitación con balcón que se utiliza como comedor / sala de estar con una gran cocina totalmente equipada
 1 pasillo con biblioteca con volúmenes sobre la historia, arquitectura y arqueología de Sicilia.
 1 sala de entrada con baño
 1 cuarto de lavado con cabina de ducha
Los muebles han sido cuidadosamente diseñados integrando antigüedades con muebles y pinturas modernas.

Diese Wohnung im Herzen Catanias überzeugt mit ihren zahlreichen Balkonen, hohen Decken, viel Tageslicht und charmanter Einrichtung. Wer dem Leben in einem Palazzo nahe kommen will, ist hier genau richtig! Wir haben unseren 3-tägigen Aufenthalt sehr genossen :)

Absolutely stunning place and location

The place is absolutely stunning just like the pictures on Vrbo. The host met us at the apartment although we were late and he waited us patiently and showed us around the apartment throughout. He spoke great English as well. Clean apartment, beautifully decorated like authentic Italian acient sytle. The place is one minute walk to the fish market which is amazing for people that enjoy cooking. We walked around the area and visited the churches around the town. Would for sure coming back again!!!

Fabulous Old World Flat in Old Town Catania

We enjoyed six nights at this property as it provided a great base to explore Catania and the greater region. Our host Giovanni was excellent on communications and helpful suggestions, like parking our car in a secure private garage nearby. The 3rd floor apartment was super clean, quality furnished, and well cared for. We prepared most meals there, accessing fresh foods from the nearby open air fish market, which also had produce and meats, and a nearby wine store. The apartment had a great atmosphere to just sit back and relax in, with very high ceilings, lovely furniture, large kitchen, and four big glass double doors that each open onto balconies overlooking the neighborhood, taking in the tops of nearby historic churches. The grand piano was excellent as well, which I played every evening. Trains pass nearby, overhead of the market, but they don't run all night, mostly in the day. On the weekend, late night revelers were a bit boisterous, but we'd just shut the balcony doors. This was a great apartment to experience Catania from. Bravo!

It was an impressive apartment in terms of space, amount of art pieces, the piano and other cozy details. Kitchen is pretty well equipped. Washing mashine is also a big bonus. Perfect location. One big disadvantage - it is VERY (I mean VERY) noisy outside (even if the windows are closed). So if you are sensitive to the noice, keep in mind. Also, pillows could be more “sleepable”. The rest we enjoyed and liked

Amazing flat, super location

Absolutely stunning flat in ancient palazzo adjacent to the fascinating lively market and the Piazza Duomo with famous caffé Prestipino and easy walking distance to all Catania has to offer. Everything you need in renovated flat that has to be seen to be believed, with balconies surrounding. Cannot recommend more highly. Parking in front. Giovanni a responsive easy host. Definitely will tell my friends!

the most amazing place to stay in Catania

Giovanni was the most accommodating and thoughtful host. He went out of his way to accomodate our check-in and check-out times. The apartment was beyond stunning. The pictures do not do it justice! It is grand with beautiful views. It felt like a castle in the sky. The location is perfect, right near the big piazza and fish market!

Amazing place!

We loved this stay. It’s in a very special ancient building and a quick walk to the center of things in Catania. It’s huge! It’s not the place for making a bunch of home cooked meals - has amenities but they are basic. That worked for us as we were eating out the whole time and we were more interested in the character of the place vs a posh vacation. Very memorable!

Perfect Apartment in Catania

Our stay in Catania, Sicily was a wonderful experience, thanks, in part to Giovanni’s beautiful apartment and his excellent hosting. He meet us when we arrived and helped us park our rental car (parking is important in Catania). He then came up to the apartment with us and gave us a tour. The apartment is airy, bright and spacious. It contains everything one would need to be comfortable including a washer and all kitchen implement needed to cook. The location is near the piazzas, the fish market, shops and restaurants. We rearranged our itinerary to stay in Catania on Saturday for the fish market, only a few steps away. Catania is unique, colorful and a little chaotic. It was wonderful to have a safe, clean, lovely space to return to at the end of the day. Grazie mille Giovanni for being patient and kind.

Terrific Catania Apartment in a Great Location

We just spent three wonderful nights at the Don Giovanni apartment in Catania. We were met at the apartment by Giovanni, who is absolutely delightful. The location is terrific, literally steps away from the historical fish market and the Duomo. The apartment is beautifully decorated, spacious, and has everything you need to feel at home. There are multiple balconies which let in great amounts of light, and there is air conditioning as well. The kitchen was well equipped. There was even bottled water in the refrigerator for us, which was a nice touch. Since this is located just steps from the Duomo, it made for a great base of operations as we explored the city. And when it was time to leave, Giovanni met us at the apartment and helped us carry our luggage down to the street where our driver was waiting to take us to the airport. What a great added service! I would highly recommend this apartment.

Bellissimo Appartamento a Catania

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Don Giovanni. It was in a great location for restaurants, close to the Duomo and center. Although a stone throw from the fish market we did not notice any fish smell. The beds were comfortable with nice linen. Bathroom well stocked with hygiene product and towels. The kitchen was stocked with all essential wares to cook and the whole apartment was very clean. It was an easy access to the apartment with Giovanni. Although the neighborhood appeared to be a bit rough we found it to be safe and people were friendly.

Wonderful

The inside of this apartment is like stepping back in time into an elegant estate. The antique furnishings, especially the piano are exquisite . It’s a block away from the fish market and two blocks from the Cathedral. You can meander through little alleyways soaking in the history of the place. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

You’re Going to Love this Apartment!

The apartment is everything and more. The apartment itself is warm and inviting. We’ll equipped and sparkling clean. The master bedroom has high ceilings and a wonderful bed. But, the best part is how close you are to the fish market and the vibrancy of the loud and boisterous fish mongers and other market sellers. Plus you’re close to the the duomo and central piazza.

Very central

Charming apartment steps from the Piazza Duomo, lots of restaurants and the fish market. The last is the only downside as the smell can hit you when you exit the building, but don’t really smell anything inside. Ceilings are huge and kitchen is fully ready to go. Would definitely stay there again. Host is very friendly and inviting and helpful.

Beautiful Apartment / Great Locatiom

What a wonderful experience for my partner and I, and another couple to stay here. The apartment is spacious, and "noble" indeed! Close to restaurants and to the historic center - a block away. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Enjoyed our Stay

This flat is exactly as pictured, and is very well equiped for cooking. La Pescheria market is a hundred meters or so away, and we bought fresh fish daily that we prepared in the flat. We really enjoyed the scale of the rooms: massive height in the ceilings makes these rooms feel very spacious and it doesn't feel crowded even with some large pieces of furniture in them. Bathrooms are modern and updated. This flat is very clean and tidy. There is some street noise from vehicles, but it didn't bother us. Giovanni pointed out an upstairs space with beds that would work for those bothered by the street noise. Giovanni gave an excellent orientation of the flat and how to operate everything and where to put the trash upon leaving. In sum, this is a wonderful, and central, place to stay when visiting Catania.

Schöne Wohnung

Die Wohnung liegt am Fischmarkt von Catania. Die Umgebung ist etwas heruntergekommen, aber es gibt viele, schöne Restaurants dort. Der Domplatz von Catania befindet sich quasi um die Ecke, die Wohnung ist also mega zentral gelegen. Catania ist schön, aber keine Touristenstadt, was zur Folge hat, das sie mehr Müll bietet, als die Touristenorte, die gepflegter sind. Dafür ist Catania sehr authentisch und vor allem am Wochenende eine super Stadt zum Ausgehen. (Wir waren Ende November dort, vermutlich ist sie zu anderen Jahreszeiten jeden Abend eine super Ausgehstadt). Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr schön, aber man darf nur nicht lärmempfindlich sein. Das Schlafzimmer im Dachgeschoss ist jedoch ganz ruhig. Der Balkon ist ein Umlaufbalkon, auf dem man nicht sitzen kann und eigentlich auch nicht sitzen will, weil die Wohnung direkt an der Straße liegt. Allerdings kann man in dem schönen Wohnzimmer die Balkontüren offenstehen lassen und das gibt einem das Gefühl, draußen zu sitzen. Giovanni ist sehr liebenswürdig und tut wirklich alles, um seine Gäste glücklich zu machen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

What a great condo to stay at the center of Catania!!!
