We had a great stay. Location was ideal for what we were looking for and the proximity to Cacapon and Berkeley Springs was ideal.Some things could use some fixing (for example the foosball table is missing a whole line of bumpers) but overall it have everything we needed.

We do wish property had better lighting as it was difficult to see well at times. There is limited storage for clothing. We heard neighbors animals a good bit, but it wasnt too distracting. One night we had the pleasure of hearing them toss out some choice words, but still pretty quiet on that hill. But OH THAT HILL...ruts and pot holes were almost too much and I have 4 wheel drive. Road could use some maintenance.

Just right

The Outlook was perfect for our weekend stay while attending our son's bike race at Cacapon State Park.The place was clean, has a well stocked kitchen, and a large relaxing deck in a peaceful, serene setting. Would stay again!

A great cabin in a great location.

This is our second time staying at The Outlook this year. As before we were greeted by deer on the property. They didn't seem bothered by us at all. The cabin was sparkling clean and linens and towels were made up and ready. The view across the valley was wonderful with the trees changing into their fall colors. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the utensils we would need to make dinner. We stayed for two full days and didn't run out of things to do. We hiked in Cacapon State Park and drove up to the top of the mountain. It was an incredible view. We visited Berkley Springs and the Brewery and shopped in town. The cabin is in a great location. It's private yet only a few minutes from Valley road (the main thoroughfare into town.) Smores over the campfire capped off our last night. It was a great family trip.

A great spot in the mountains.

The property is nestled between the Greenridge State Forest and the Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management area. We visited the Cacapon State Park, hiked the trails of the Paw Paw tunnel of the C & O Canal and visited restaurants and other points of interest in the Berkley Springs and Cacapon area. We didn't have enough time to see everything we wanted to so we booked another trip there next fall. The cabin was everything we expected and there were deer on the property when we arrived. The cabin was well stocked with amenities (including towels) wifi, satellite, tv's in every room, including the game room. There were also board games, movies on dvd, plenty of chairs, including a gliding patio bench on the deck. The view was great. The management was very accommodating to our needs. It was a great trip!

A Great Retreat

We have now gone twice at the same time of the year and it has been fantastic. The place has great entertainment options for families in the home, theres a great open area with a fire ring, there's a great view from the deck, and -- though it's tucked away in the mountains -- it is still close enough to places to get food and supplies, not to mention the actual springs of Berkeley Springs. The management company was also phenominal. The check in/out process is easy, the place was clean, and they never bothered us. However, when we realized we needed their help after our stay, their team was so pleasant to work with and accomodating. A great diamond in the rough!

beautiful and chill spot to hang with friends!

We loved our weekend stay here! Plenty of space, rooms and beautiful views! The natural lighting in this rental is especially beautiful and calming. We used the kitchen and it was stocked with all the pots, pans, utensils and plates we needed.

Wonderful experience

We loved spending the weekend with our family and simply relaxing in this cottage and nearby Berkeley. Beautiful property and even more beautiful town. We e been to a few different cottages in the area and this one is one of the best.

Great cabin in the woods

This cabin was such a nice place for us to spend a week over Christmas. We enjoyed the fireplace and loved that the firewood was provided for us. The loft was big and spacious and the basement was a nice get away for games, etc. As a family who brought all of our food in for every meal for the week, we thought the plates/dishes and cups were not adequate for a family of 6. Also, the seating area in the kitchen, living room and basement did not have adequate seating for all 6 of us. It is also important for a cabin like this to have a CO detector and not just a smoke detector. Overall, this was a great place and we would definitely stay here again.

Mountain cabin

The outlook

Beautiful view. Cabin is a little dated. Lighting in both bedrooms on main floor poor. Lamps poor. It was difficult to get the cabin cool but that is probably the way it was built rather than an equipment problem. Unfortunately there is a clay shooting range not far and from Friday night through Sunday noon a gun was going off consistently. Beautiful area though. We enjoyed nevertheless

Girls Weekend

When you get 4 besties together, the fun and laughter never stops… everyone had a blast! Great location ( except for the potholes getting into the neighborhood ) but we sure enjoyed ourselves. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!
