O Monte es una antigua granja situada en una impresionante finca privada con vistas ininterrumpidas de la ría de Alvor y las colinas de Monchique en el fondo.

La villa dispone de 3 dormitorios y 2 baños y puede alojar hasta 6 personas. Cuenta con una cocina bien equipada y un espacioso doble sala de recepción / comedor que se abre a una terraza con típico pavimento portugués y hermosas vistas de la ría - perfecto para bebidas al atardecer y cenar al aire libre.

En el jardín en la parte delantera de la villa se encuentra una piscina aislada y cerrada, rodeada por una terraza arbolada y completa con tumbonas y una zona de barbacoa - ideal para largos almuerzos y relajado junto a la piscina.

La propiedad es muy adecuado para familias pequeñas o un grupo de amigos para compartir. Hay acceso inalámbrico a Internet. La casa está a poca distancia del animado pueblo pesquero de Alvor, hermosas playas y numerosos campos de golf y clubes de tenis.


Fuera de casa: Ladeira da Nora está a sólo 2 km de la concurrida pueblo pesquero de Alvor, con sus restaurantes y bares de la diversión. Praia da Rocha, el complejo conocido con playas, hoteles, casino y bares / restaurantes, está a sólo 6 km de distancia. La histórica ciudad de Lagos se encuentra a 15 minutos en coche y ofrece buenos restaurantes y vida nocturna.

Hay muchos campos de golf, playas, buceo, surf, esquí acuático, windsurf y kite surf, montar a caballo, pesca, ciclismo, vela, por mencionar sólo unos pocos y cuando los niños han intentado de todo esto todavía hay parques acuáticos, jeep safaris y Zoo mundo marino. Para aquellos que buscan otros retos, el paracaidismo es un deporte activo en Alvor aeródromo en ciertas épocas del año. Además, está la pista de carreras de 15 minutos en Mexilhoeira que aloja Fórmula 1 Racing Motor, Súper moto y Karting.

A sólo 20 km de distancia se encuentra la montaña de Monchique, con su spa y aguas termales, donde se puede disfrutar de una vista fantástica en un clima más fresco de la montaña mientras disfruta de la famosa piri piri-pollo a la parrilla o tarta de almendra regional.

En parte, hay una serie de empresas que ofrecen servicios de restauración y de ocio para los días especiales como bodas y aniversarios.

Golf: Aquellos que disfrutan de una ronda de golf tienen fácil acceso a Alto Club (5 km), Meridian Penina (4 km) ambos diseñados por el abuelo de cursos Henry Cotton. Un poco más lejos, Palmares en Meia Praia, en Lagos Boavista y Gramacho en Carvoeiro son sólo cuatro entre treinta cursos en todo el Algarve.

A Beautifully kept 1970’s Farmhouse. Great View, Great Host. Jim was a delight to talk to as well. A life well lived. Pools were beautifully maintained too. Just a small thing to be aware of, there is no Air Conditioning, fans are provided and we acclimatised quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We had a lovely 4 days at this property. My girls loved the period rooms and the property was lovely and cool. The pool was great and we loved lying by the pool/ swimming watching the sky divers and small planes overhead. Property is close to a little road but only occasional traffic.Air con is extra as is visitor tax but we sent use air con as place is cool. Could do with a decent fan in the small bedroom but rest of fans were fabulous - cool and quiet! Would be nice if kitchen had basic oil and balsamic vinegar but I’m being very fussy. Warm welcome and lovely to have the little extras you had in the fridge to welcome us on first night.Was left to ourselves to enjoy our time. 4Euro uber to town or downhill walk to town.

Fantastic spacious and private villa within walking distance of ALVOR centre, Attentive owner Jim, is friendly and accommodating Clean throughout Would definitely rebook Only small criticism is that WiFi is poor.

We have just had the most wonderful week in Casa Monte! A stunning villa with lovely views, great pool and a short distance to Alvor with its many restaurants and bars. The villa itself is beautiful and utterly charming as too is it’s wonderful owner Jim! It was such a pleasure to meet him and hear the history of his farm, what a lovely man! We hope to be back!

10 nights stay in villa o Monte Alvor

We had a lovely time staying in this villa which was well equipped with plenty space for our party of 4 adults and two children. Pool area and bbq were fanstic. A big thank you to Jim who was always on hand and look after us very well. The villa is located is a just few minutes drive from Alvor Town centre and beach ( about 30 minutes walk to the beach).

Perfect Family Stay

Communication with the host was easy and we were given detailed directions from the airport. The host’s father was waiting for us at the property and he gave us a warm welcome and an extensive tour of the property with rolls, ham and drinks for us to enjoy. He popped around regularly and let us use the pool in their other villa next door for a couple of days. The villa was clean and we had our sheets and towels changed half way through our stay. The villa was a fairly short walk to the centre of Alvor and the location is easy for you to go on day trips. My parents joined us and We had enough room for 6 of us and enjoyed the outdoor eating area. It was exactly how it was shown on the website and was ideal for what we wanted.

Wonderful Vacation at an wonderful Location

We spent 14 lovely days in the house, everything we needed was there, the facility was very clean and well maintained. On nice days, the tranquility of the complex is occasionally interrupted by the cheers of skydivers. We personally found this more interesting than annoying. The landlord Jim is always available to give advice and support in all areas. We couldn't find the WiFi problems noted by other tenants because we simply took the WiFi hotspot with us to the pool, for example. We would like to thank you for the wonderful time and can recommend the facility and the landlord 100%.

The villa is 10/10 gorgeous. Tons of character and the surroundings are stunning. Location is great. Pool is wonderful. Jamie, who we later found out was owner Jim’s son, was great in assisting the booking. Very courteous and helpful. No issues. Despite all this, we wouldn’t be back because of Jim the owner. Day 1 his wife Nina, who was very accommodating, showed us around, and after having travelled all day and night from western Canada, we lay down in the bedrooms to nap. We’re later woken by Jim letting himself right into the house and looking for us. Very odd and intrusive. The next 3 mornings Jim would pop by, even walking into the house to check on us. Our kids (6 and 13) noticed him peering through the windows. The day before our departure, he came down to us at the pool and asked for a 30 in tourist tax. No mention of this in the contract, which I noted but this turned into an argument. I paid him just to be done with it. Jim then asked my husband how he turned on the air conditioning. My husband explained he just pushed the “on” button. “Well it’s a 60 charge per day to turn on the air conditioning”. No mention of this in the contract, on the policies in the home nor on the unit itself. My husband made the point that based on Jim’s logic, he could just arbitrarily set prices and expect us to pay. It was an incredibly uncomfortable interaction. It also proved that Jim had let himself into the house while we were out and had gone into our bedroom.

Die Villa ist wirklich wunderschön und nach portugiesischem Wohnstil eingerichtet. Wir wurden von Jim sehr nett begrüßt und es wurde alles gezeigt. Jim war immer für uns da, wenn wir Fragen hatten.Die Kommunikation vorab klappte ebenfalls hervorragend. Im Haus wartete neben Jim sogar schon eine Flasche Wein, etwas Aufschnitt/Käse und Brötchen auf uns. :-)Der Tisch auf der hinteren Terrasse ist erneuert worden und bietet viel Platz für 6 Personen. Hier haben wir immer unser Frühstück genossen und die Abende verbracht. Die Strandtücher lagen ebenfalls bereit. Ein Parkplatz befindet sich direkt vor dem Haus, der andere liegt etwas weiter weg auf dem Grundstück.Waschmittel für die Waschmaschine und Tabs für den Geschirrspüler waren vorhanden. Möglichkeiten zum Aufhängen der Wäsche gab es auch ausreichend. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns die Hausreinigung. In den 12 Tagen wurde das Haus 2x gereinigt, Handtücher gewechselt und 1x die Bettwäsche gewechselt.Das ist ein hervorragender Service. Alle Orte sind schnell erreichbar, Einkaufen, Strand, Sehenswürdigkeiten.Einzig das WLAN ist verbesserungsfähig und das Haus liegt an einer eigentlich kleinen Straße mit dafür recht viel Verkehr. Es muss somit mit etwas Straßenlärm gerechnet werden. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können die Villa und die Gastgeber sehr empfehlen.

Great Villa

We stayed at O Monte for 10 days in June and it was just fabulous. From the surprise Welcome Pack of bread, wine, milk cheese,ham and the gorgeous salad, to the lovely warm welcome from Jim the next morning. The villa is huge and has lots of space for a family of 5, and plenty of areas to relax. The pool was great too and we had many BBQ's and relaxed nights in with extended family in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Villa O'Monte, it's probably one of the nicest villas we've ever rented and a big hit with our family, which included two teenagers and a tween. Also, not too far from Alvor village which has plenty of nightlife and restaurants if needed.

Erholung in bester Lage

Nettes, geräumiges Haus mit privatem Pool. Rund ums Haus einladende Sitzgelegenheiten. Wunderbarer Blick in ruhiger Lage. Zahlreiche herrliche Strände mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Nette und unaufdringliche Betreuung durch den Besitzer.

The property was all we anticipated and more

Everything was excellent, the owner very helpful and the weather hot and sunny. The description was accurate in the listing and the property clean and well maintained. We would recommend the property. Having been to the area before we enjoyed (again) our favorite beaches and restaurants.

Ankommen und zu Hause fühlen

Der Titel ist Programm Ankommen und zu Hause fühlen das ist in diesem Haus perfekt. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet, sauber und hat eine seht schöne Lage mit Blick auf das Monchique Gebirge und die Flussmündung des Ria Alvor. Ein sehr schöner Pool , Terrasse vor und hinter dem Haus runden die Sache ab. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter ist unkompliziert und sehr herzlich. Wir werden wieder kommen.

What a lovely holiday we had at Villa O Monte

What a wonderful holiday we had at Villa O Monte in Algarve!!! When we arrived in the evening after closing time of the shops, the friendly owner Jim had filled our refrigerator with some water, bread and other things to eat. Very friendly!! The house is beautiful, clean and is situated on a lovely place, overseeing Alvor and the sea. The swimming pool is clean and very nice. We had a wonderful holiday, loved to go back and I will hereby recommend Villa O Monte to everyone. Erik van Trommel & Mireille Doornekamp

Wonderful holiday

This was our second time staying at this farmhouse villa, as soon as we walked in the door, we felt at home. Quiet, but only a 30 minute walk into Alvor, ideal for people wanting their 'own space' during the day. Great downstairs ensuite main bedroom, with 2 more bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Sitting areas at the front and rear of the villa as well as the area by the pool, which is very sheltered. The owner was around every morning and cleaned the area by the pool as well as the pool itself and was always working maintaining the farm. Look forward to returning in 2014.
