winter getaway

Great location, beautiful view, easy access to beach, nice amenities at the resort which are included. Unit needs some updating and simple repairs. be aware this unit is upstairs, 2 flights of stairs. Deep cleaning is needed.

The beach was very nice. The pool was great once cleaned. We had to ask for the cleaning of the pool. Beds were comfortable and the view was amazing from both floors.

Winter Escape

The condo was quiet, clean and very nice. Our holiday was wonderful, with close access to a beautiful white sandy beach and a lovely pool.

Relaxing and beautiful

The views from the balcony and from the main bedroom are amazing. It is literally steps to one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever seen. The location is great: just 10 minutes to the grocery store and to lots of nice restaurants. Paige and Charles were very kind and responsive.

Awesome stay in Freeport Grand Bahamas

We love Freeport. The condo was perfect for our family. It sits right on the ocean with the most amazing views even from the bedroom. We woke up every morning to the sounds of the ocean and a nice breeze. The condo has a great selection of books and 2 inflatable kayaks to use. We will come back for sure:)

Great location, clean, PERFECT!

We stayed at the condo for 5 nights. Location is perfect: right on the beach and close to all the sights! It was clean & convenient with necessities. Check in was easy & the hosts are gracious and communicated well! Only 2 things to mention is there are several stairs to get up into the 2-floor condo and there was no snorkel equipment available to use as the listing says. Otherwise, a 5 star rental!!

Amazing Views

This property has the most amazing views from the master bedroom and the living room. We loved listening to the ocean as we laid in bed. The property manager was very helpful and quick to respond to our questions. The condo provides easy assess to the beach for walking and swimming. A restaurant and beach bars are within walking distance as well. If you have a rental car there is abundant parking. The condo is clean and provides a great comfortable vacation feel. The beds were extremely comfortable, too!

Annoyed

I must say that the location and view is beautiful. Overall the condo was clean and comfortable. However there were very annoying things. No elevator, so walked up 3 flights of stairs with luggage. There was no soap in any of the bathrooms. The water pressure was very low so it was not great taking showers. The master toilet plugged up. The master sink does not drain well. So we resolved to not using that bathroom. The water went out 'off' on one evening came back on early the next morning. When on vacation one shouldn't have to think about these things. I won't stay again.

Relaxing, Entertaining, and Incredibly Wonderful Home Away from Home!!

LOVED LOVED LOVED this wonderful property. It truly was a home away from home with abundant amenities and a very cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Paige, the owner, was very easy to reach throughout the rental process. She answered all of our questions and even provided a ton of advice and helpful information that made our stay even that much better. We traveled to the island in December of 2016, only a few months after devastating hurricane Matthew hit. Much of the island was affected although the islanders have done everything and anything to get the tourism back up and running. Our trip was not affected at all by the effects of the hurricane with the exception that they were still working on getting the cable and wifi back up and running. It actually worked out in our favor though because it meant much better family interaction and bonding time. The condo had all kinds of things available to us. There were three available blow-up kayaks, snorkel gear with fins, games, a DVD movie collection, books, stunning views, a pool, a resort next door, and material available related to island activities and events. The bedrooms were very comfortable with classy decor and the bathrooms and showers worked incredibly well. We were able to run two showers and the dishwasher at the same time and didn't even notice any temperature changes to the water. When we went to the beach they had beach mats, beach chairs, and towels that we could take as well as two large beach umbrellas. They had everything that we could have possibly needed, with the exception of suntan lotion!! If you visit the Bahamas...bring your own suntan lotion!! The cost of the lotion on the island is incredibly high, especially if you try buying it at the resort next door. We also ate at all three of the recommended restaurants on either side of the condo. They all had their own style and flavor. Our favorite was "Bernies", a little beach shack that sits on the sand. (The condo is an upstairs unit with 4 sets of about 7 stairs each going up-it may not be ideal for someone that is elderly or has a hard time with stairs.) If you are looking for a place to stay we would highly recommend this property. Our family of 5 had a wonderful vacation and made many great memories here. We would definitely stay here again if we decide to return in the future! The property manager on site was also very informative and helpful. If you are looking...this property is a super option!!

Für einen Kurzaufenthalt gut

Grand Bahamas hat wunderschöne Strände, tolle Restaurants, freundliche Menschen und ist super für einen Kurzurlaub bis zu 1 Woche Wir sind mit einem Scooter fast über die ganze Insel gefahren, sogar bis zum Gold Rock Beach! Unser Apartment war von der Aufteilung sehr schön, der Blick war super und auch die Lage am Strand - leider aber war das Apartment schon sehr verwohnt. Es muss dringend ein wenig renoviert und um-dekoriert werden. Zu viele alte Dinge stehen und hängen dort. Der alte Teppich in den Schlafzimmern geht garnicht mehr. Möbel zum Teil kaputt und/oder sehr abgenutzt Der Kabelsalat bei den TVs geht auch nicht Wir legten keinen Wert auf TV aber wir bekamen auch nur einen an Auch die Außenanlage müsste mehr gepflegt werden. Man fährt in die Straße am Island Seas Resort vorbei die sehr gepflegt ist und dann kommt man in die eigene Anlage …. Büsche schneiden, Rasen harken etc und nach kurzer Zeit sähe es schon anders aus. Pooldeck streichen ist auch kein großer Aufwand Schade für die Anlage Ein großes Dankeschön an Charles - durch ihn war unser Aufenthalt problemlos Sehr hilfsbereiter Mensch Generell müsste auf den Strassen auf Müllbeseitigung geachtet werden und an den Stränden wie überall auf Müll u Plastik Trotzdem waren die Strände wunderschön und das türkisfarbene Wasser ein Traum

Last minute change in plans

Upon arrival our cell phones were not working even though we have the International plan (we have Verizon) so we waited til some neighbors arrived and we were able to use their phone to call for our check in. The place is quite dated and well worn (drains that don’t drain, shower heads that need replacing, carpet very old)so it was just a different experience than what we were expecting. The beach was nice, the water warm but literally the area is not very nice- litter everywhere, broken glass on the beach and just a not nice vibe. The local people were friendly and helpful but I doubt we will return to this island.

View is outstanding Always hear the Ocean Several restaurants are within walking distance Condo was clean Beach is always accessible but tides have to be considered Pool is clean but temp is dependent on weather. Condo has some minor repair items, like screen / doors, but did not impact stay. This is a 12 unit complex so there were times when it was noisy. Stairs must be considered, 2 full flights for upper units. Not handicap accessible. The caretaker, Speedy, always assisted with any issues immediately. Grocery stores are relatively close but transportation is needed. The beaches and water are beautiful and you can walk to the pier to fish. The area appears relatively safe and we never felt threatened. Although we we solicited by locals daily. We did walk the beaches barefoot but there is glass that has to be watched for. Overall it is a good place to stay. We may have overpaid for our stay as we were told by several of the occupants that they were paying as much as half of our rate. So advise to compare.

This was everything I was looking for. Extremely relaxing, clean and well stocked with everything you'd need. The view was a million dollar view from both upstairs and down. At night I kept my slider open to the warm ocean breeze and the sound of the waves gently hitting the shore. I didn't even need the air conditioning. Speedy (our go to gal) was amazing.

Property Management The Best

The property was very clean and large in side everything that you wanted in a Condo was st hand reach and the property manager was the best Her name is Speedy and she lives up to her name I would recommend that property to anyone it's was fantastic fantastic. Just need to fix the TV converter for the 3 Television. Anna and Anthony

There is so much that we loved. The pictures do not do the location justice. If you're into touist trap type stuff this might not be the place for you. If you enjoy falling asleep and waking to the sound of the ocean, easy access to the beach, easy access to a resort w/ swim up pool bar and spa and a local restaurant "Bernie's", then you will love this place.

Great view!!

This condo has the greatest view!! The photos don't do it justice. We so enjoyed staying here. The owner is wonderful to deal with. If you are still deciding where to go, I urge you to consider this condo. The Bahamian people are a delight....always warm, witty and optimistic even is the light of the Dorian disaster last fall. This condo is among two small condos so there are not a lot of people on the beach or at the pool. Go to the Tuesday night seafood and ribs feast about 500 yards walking left as you leave the condo, Best bon fire! Go to the $2 bar....fascinating group of locals. Go to Garden of the Groves...lush and beautiful. Mostly sit with the wonderful Bahamian people.....you will enjoy and laugh in every conversation. Book it today!

Property was not as nice as listed

I was upset by this listing, it sounded perfect with the miles of endless beach to walk, except there is no beach in front of this unit. We had to use the beach at the resort next door to go into the ocean. A few changes should be made thats listed under the property. The kayaks are ruined, the cooler is broken, there are no beach towels, the bath towels are old and need to be replaced, also so do all the shower curtains. The tubs were stained dirty. Not a place I would recommend. Also not in a great location. Glad we rented a car to be able to travel to the nicer areas and enjoy beaches elsewhere.
