Lovely, but slightly marred.
The gite was lovely and in a beautiful village with a number of restaurants within easy walking distance. Sylvie was very welcoming and always friendly. Unfortunately our visit was let down by three things. Firstly whilst on our arrival the pool side furniture was out and we were told we were welcome to use it, by the Monday, the loungers had been put away and the table and chairs covered. It would have been nice if they were put out each day. I suppose we could have asked, but felt uncomfortable to do so. We still used the pool which was very nice. The second thing was the husband, who was snappy with my daughter and myself on two separate occasions. May be he was just having an off week, but it made us feel uncomfortable. The third thing was an message we received on returning home. Unfortunately due to our original EasyJet flight being cancelled, we had to leave a day early and at 5.00 am in the morning. But we believe we left the property in good order. When I got home I had a message asking ‘where was the cooker knob we broke off the oven’. We had not broken anything as far as we were aware and if we had we would have definitely reported it and would not have disposed of the knob as Sylvie suggested. As I say these things marred what could have been a really good week.
