This is a challenging review to write because some elements of our stay were outstanding and others were poor. The location of the apartment is perfect. Very centrally located. Easy to walk everywhere. There is some noise from above and people passing by, but nothing that prevents sleeping, etc. The patio is charming, even in cold weather. Elisabeth, the host, could not be more helpful. She arranged for our water taxi upon arrival and departure and even went out of her way to arrange an evening sight seeing water taxi for us on New Year's Day. The down side was that the apartment was not clean. Lots of dust on furniture, sticky something on the counter and most concerning there were alot of black hairs a number of places---on the floor, in the shower, on the sheets on the pull out. I had to wash the sheets the evening of our arrival to feel comfortable with our daughter sleeping there. One additional note: the apartment says it sleeps 4. The beds are really designed for 3 people. The bedroom has a double bed (for 2) and the pullout in the living rom is really only meant for 1 person--unless you are using it for 2 young children.
