Love coming to Orange Beach. 3rd timevthis year. The placecwe stayed was right onvthe beach with a full view of the beach. It didnt disappoint.

Very enjoyable

Unit was very comfortable. Beach close. Great restaurants within 15 minutes. No carpet on 7th floor hallway, but did not deter from a good time. Had issues with door lock, but was corrected after a few text messages with management.

Exceeded Expectations

What we liked: Nicely appointed condo. Comfortable and spacious with ample seating. Great ocean views from the balcony, clean and quiet. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. The washer and dryer came in handy. The pool was pretty nice and the walk to the beach quick. You can rent lounge chairs if needed. My family stayed for 6 days. We were having such a good time we extended our stay a day. What could have made it better: Not much, but the wireless connection was inconsistent. A Kuereg would have been nice, but there is a coffee pot that works fine.

Nice Stay

Only problem was when we first arrived. Was not sent an access code for our condo. This was after emailing a couple days prior and I did not get a reply. I called contact number when I got there and had to wait on hold a couple of different times a while before finally receiving access code.

nice unit

Nice Unit. Only problems were the internet connection (off and on even after a repairman came to repair it); the lock was broken on the sliding glass door to the balcony; and heated water came out of the cold water spigots in both bathrooms and kitchen. I think Southern will get those repaired. While that sounds a bit negative, we thoroughly enjoyed our week in this unit and will likely rent it again next year. Working with Southern and VRBO was quite easy.

Some good and some bad

First of all the condo was very nice and had plenty of room. Now with that said let me list the negative things. When we got there had a slight issue with the key code but after a phone call to Southern got that settled but it was tricky on the keypad throughout the stay. Since we checked in at 4:00 by the time we took a stroll down to the pool it was after 5:00. We walked out the doors looked around and went to go back in the door and you needed a key card to get back in. Called Southern again and got a young lady told her we were never told anything about key cards. She checked with her supervisor and she came back on and he said he knew nothing about that. So of course we were told to check at the office but as I said after 5:00 nobody there. I called an after hours number and luckily got the security guard Mike I think his name was and he was great. He made me key cards and gave me wristbands for everyone(which I knew nothing about). I was told there would be a packet that would have everything we needed, nothing there. My wife found an envelope up in the cabinet that had a bunch of blank parking passes that we filled out our own info with the appropriate dates. The WiFi would not connect for unit , However I did get on another unit and it was in and out, very disappointing. Lastly the whole Condo stayed cool except for the master bedroom never got as cool as the rest of the rooms. So we thought the pool was nice and the staff there were very nice. We are looking to book in a couple of months for next year about the same time. I highly doubt we will return here. Thank You

Extremely misleading

The building was under construction most doors did not lock and if they did there was a close door that was open anyone could walk 8n from garage or beach. Our patio door did not lock. I call to have it fixed and the maintenance guy was pounding on the door at 8:30a.m. the next morning waking us up. I asked he could come back and he was rude saying if he had time he would. Called again to explain the situation and they said he would be back the next afternoon. He never came back and door remained broke the entire time (have video). The unit was nice until my 8 year old was in the room and said dad look at this some left a open candy wrapper. I then look and it's a open condom wrapper ( have pictures if needed) the check in process was a joke. No one was in the building. I wondered around the 3rd floor where the temporary office was to find a table with a bunch of envelopes with names on the. So I guess you just check yourself in. Check out no one would answer the bell. Some random man said just throw card keys in bin and thars all you have to do. So I guess you check yourself out too. The condo was very nice and clean except for the condom wrapper. The overall experience was not good. Felt very unsafe and not happy about construction and the rude building maintenance.

Beautiful, spacious condo

Unit #704 was clean, spacious and had comfortable furnishings. The location and resort were nice and the weather was perfect. Areas for improvement: Basic cooking items like sheet pans (brought the steaks to the grill downstairs in a foil-lined box), spatulas, larger serving bowls and serving spoons could be provided. Also. there was no internet connectivity at all the entire week. I took a break from social media anyway, but it would have been good to have internet. There is a large, framed picture of a woman and child in the living area that we moved so my toddler grandson would not knock it down--it is very heavy and he could reach it, so we stored it until we were ready to leave. The baby pool at Escapes to the Shores was great--my grand-baby loved the water-fall from the tiled archway and the fountain spiggots shooting up from the ground. The deepest part was 6 inches, so he could play with confidence in the large baby pool area. It was a wonderful week with family, beautiful weather, calm seas. and a full moon. I would consider returning, perhaps in the Fall.

Working Elevators Would Be Nice

Overall, the property is fine. Great location and the unit was very spacious. However, one of the two elevators went out halfway through our stay and was never serviced. Even though there were signs posted for 1-2 people on elevators only due to COVID precautions, having only one working elevator created long waits and then 20 people piling on the elevator when it finally came. Also, hauling luggage and other stuff up and down seven flights of stairs is never pleasant either. On top of that, having a rather late check-in time of 4pm was a bit much in my opinion. But what made it even better is that our unit wasn't actually ready to check in until around 5pm! Good times right there!

Clean, spacious and great amenities!!

2 bedroom unit was more than enough for our family of five. Easy access to the beach and kids loved the indoor and outdoor pool as well as the hot tub. Unit’s kitchen was very functional. Site was well kept and parking was easy. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice and either one could have functioned as a master bedroom. Would definitely book this unit again.

Beach tents

We loved location and experience but were very disappointed with security of the building. Lots of people on property, pool and beach that were not staying there. Also, the beach waterline was filled with big tents blocking views of people that rented chairs. There was no enforcement of the beach rules. I hated paying all that money for property and beach rentals to have a party of 10-15 people with 3 big tents parking it right in front of my rented chairs for the day. Not a good beach experience. They need to enforce some rules about tents on the beach!

Very spacious, new, clean condo with a gorgeous view of the Gulf!

We LOVED this condo! It is exactly as pictured, new and clean and very spacious. We also loved the pools, the use of the grills, the covered parking, and the amazing view from the balcony. For future guests, it would be very helpful to provide important information. We had no idea we needed a key card to gain entrance into the condo from the pool area, so we were locked out until a fellow guest explained it to us. We didn't know we could obtain a grill kit from the front desk until another guest told us. We also had to figure out where to deposit our trash on our own. Given that vacations are short and sweet, it would be so helpful to have a packet with all of this information, along with locations of grocery stores, medical care facilities, churches, etc. We spent a lot of time figuring out these basic things, which should have been shared with us. Lastly, the internet worked very sporadically, which was not good! Overall, this is a gorgeous property that needs some welcoming features to be top notch for guests.

We do provide guest with the Guest Portal which gives the check in information, what to pack, and things to do/ where to eat in the area. We hope that you join us again next year.

Beautiful condo with beautiful views of the Alabama Gulf Coast

Beautiful condo and beautiful views of the Alabama Gulf Coast! The shower in the master bathroom is awesome! The kitchen was not very clean when we arrived arrived but things like that happen sometimes. They need a new coffee maker desperately. The one they have leaks everywhere (which is part of the reason the kitchen was not clean). We had everything else we needed. The beds are super comfy! Very spacious rooms. The AC will only go down to 69 which is fine everywhere but the master bedroom it was definitely not getting to a cool 69. It was too warm to close the door on the master bedroom for me but I like it really cool when I’m sleeping. Lastly we really appreciated the parking deck when we got in our car daily and it was not steaming hot.

Our family loved the property.

Wonderful location, very spacious, and the master shower was very enjoyable after a day on the beach. The kitchen was well stocked as far as rentals go. The only complaint was the information about check in was incorrect and no materials about the property were in the unit. Such as info on check out, trash locations, etc. The property management was very cordial and super fast on inquiries using text messages and phone calls. Very friendly.
