APARTAMENTO DE 2 CAMAS CON HERMOSA PISCINA PRIVADA EN LJUTA, NR. GRUDA, REGIÓN DE KONAVLE

Villa Oliva es un amplio apartamento independiente de dos dormitorios situado en Ljuta, a solo 5 minutos en coche de Gruda, en la región de Konavle, en la parte más meridional de Croacia. A 15 minutos en coche del aeropuerto de Dubrovnik, se recomienda que alquile un automóvil durante su estadía para disfrutar de toda la zona circundante.

El apartamento completamente amueblado forma la planta baja de una hermosa villa que esperamos se complete para el verano de 2021. Por ahora, el apartamento se beneficia del uso de toda el área exterior con la gran piscina privada con hermosas vistas al otro lado del valle con magníficas puestas de sol por la noche. Una zona de terraza cubierta y una zona de barbacoa cubierta separada con mesa y sillas y cocina exterior son para uso exclusivo de los huéspedes en el apartamento.

El apartamento tiene una habitación doble con mucho espacio de armario, una habitación con dos camas con armario y un baño de buen tamaño con ducha, bañera y lavadora. La sala de estar / comedor tiene un sofá cama doble, sillas y mesa de comedor con TV, reproductor de DVD y conexión inalámbrica a internet gratuita. Una pequeña cocina con vitrocerámica y horno, nevera-congelador grande y mucho espacio en el armario.

La mayoría de nuestros huéspedes disfrutan de cenar al aire libre durante los meses de verano más cálidos en las áreas cubiertas exteriores y pueden disfrutar viendo la puesta de sol en una hermosa tarde de verano.

La piscina cuenta con tumbonas, sombrillas y el área de la piscina también tiene un baño exterior y una buena ducha junto a la piscina. También hay una mesa de ping-pong al aire libre para uso de nuestros huéspedes.

El apartamento se beneficia de un sistema de calefacción y aire acondicionado a través de la propiedad con persianas en todas las ventanas.

Todas las camas estarán hechas a su llegada y se proporcionan toallas de baño y playa. La piscina se limpiará semanalmente, pero los huéspedes deben usar la ducha exterior antes de darse un chapuzón en la piscina.

Intentamos ser flexibles en los días de cambio, pero desafortunadamente para el verano de 2019 no podemos ofrecer un cambio el sábado.

El propietario habla inglés y croata con fluidez.

Tenga en cuenta que todos los trabajos de construcción en la parte superior de la propiedad se llevan a cabo durante los meses de invierno para que la paz y la tranquilidad no se echen a perder durante el período que alquilamos a los huéspedes.

Our 2nd time at Villa Oliva, after a few years, and it was even better than our first time. A magical setting, large pool with patio areas all around, large gardens, private setting, incredible views across the valley to Gruda and beyond, with mountains either side. Very convenient by car for the beautiful port town of Cavtat with its many restaurants (and for Dubrovnik by car or water taxi) and only 20mins from the airport. Andro is very helpful and makes sure everything is ok and regularly cleans and treats the pool. We had such a lovely time we booked again for next year before we’d even left. Thanks to Stane and Andro for a fantastic holiday. We can’t wait to come back.

Really enjoyed our stay. 2 nice bedrooms, well supplied accommodation and super pool amd view. Easiest car hire/transfer to accommodation i can recall in years. Easy to visit Catvat and Dubrovnik with friendly local help nearby on arrival. No complaints at all and good value

Thoroughly enjoyable stay in a unique and spectacular location

Spent a wonderful 10 days at the Villa which is situated in a breathtaking location. It's incredibly peaceful and has a feel of remoteness yet is only 5 minutes from the nearest village with amenities whilst really special beaches are very close by. Unlike some apartments, Villa Oliva (and its adjoining barbecue, which needs a review in itself) is really well thought out with everything intuitively where it should be. The hosts were nothing but extremely accommodating and lovely to deal with. Highly recommended!

Wonderful stay with wonderful views and a pool

We all loved it here. Good simple accommodation on the ground floor of this building but the whole place to ourselves. Good air con and appliances meant we were very comfortable. But the pool, terrace and the shady outdoor kitchen are the stars of the show. As is the view, especially as the sun sets. Set amongst olive trees and beautiful planting. Andro was so welcoming and helpful with great advice on local destinations and popped in to deliver home grown grapes and wine. Supermarkets, restaurants serving local cuisine, heritages sites and the coast all with easy reach by car. We’d all come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

Stunningly beautiful unspoilt Croatia

Quiet off the beaten track spacious villa. Very friendly informative hosts who could not do enough for you. Very easy drive from the airport and the seaside resort of Cavtst where you can get a boat to Dubrovnik or take an island or coastal. Caveat also the best place to eat - the food on the marina is of the highest quality. Villa spotlessly clean as was the pool. Fully equipped. Perfect for couples or family with young children. Car essential. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would gladly return.

Lovely time, gorgeous grounds and view!

This villa has been fantastic for our family of 4. Andro the host was very attentive and friendly and even brought us grapes and wine. The inside of the villa has 2 decent bedrooms and a decent bathroom and the aircon throughout is very good. The living/kitchen area is basic and small but the sofa is comfy and there is a big tv with Netflix. But the main thing is the outside space and pool. Wow wow wow! Best outside space we’ve ever had. The views are stunning and the outside BBQ area is wonderful. It even has its own WiFi and speakers to play music. We would definitely return here and can highly recommend.

We had a truly wonderful, relaxing stay, as a family of 4 (two teens.) The communication was first class from the outset (as was the route map from the airport.) The apartment has everything you could need - a real home-from-home. Andro was very helpful and popped along to clean the pool mid-week as well as presenting us with delicious homemade wine and huge bunches grapes. The pool and views have to be seen to be believed; we felt very spolit indeed. This was our first visit to Croatia and it will definitely not be our last!

Fantastic Villa Oliva

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Oliva. The property is perfect for a family of 4 and is very comfortable with all mod cons. Having wifi, Netflix and air con were particularly welcomed by the kids! The garden and pool area is stunning and we made use of the great outdoor cooking area on a couple of evenings. The villa was easy to find and only 40 minutes drive from Dubrovnik Old Town and 20 mins from the airport. I would suggest hiring a car as it enabled us to explore the konavle region and the beautiful coastline. A big thank you to Andro who ensured we were happy and gave us his contact details in case we needed any help. Not forgetting the sweet gifts of home made wine and olive oil (delicious!)

Perfect, peaceful place

We have really enjoyed our stay at villa Olivia. It was just as described and more. The apartment was equipped with everything needed and the beds were really comfy. We felt really spoilt with the spacious and well planned out outdoor area which we had to ourselves. The sunsets were just breathtaking. The only downfall ( if we have to give one) is that you do need to travel to go to a restaurant / shop so a car is recommended. However, we did anticipate this due to the location. Andro was on hand if we needed anything but he was not obtrusive to our privacy. A big thank you to him for his kindness. We would highly recommend this villa and we feel that it is in the top of our favourite villa/ location to date. Thank you again for all the help and sharing your villa with us.

Can’t fault the view

Amazing views in a quiet off the beaten track apartment. 100% need a car which we didn’t have and had to rely on Uber which at times had trouble with location . Andro who lives in hse above was amazing with fresh grapes and homemade wine , plus he even ran us to the shop and waited while we got supplies on our first day . You can walk the shortcut he showed us (in daylight) to the two restaurants but you can’t walk it back as unlit rds and no paths up a very windy steep hill . The apartment was comfortable for 4 and the outside space amazing . the bus at the bottom of the drive only runs 3x a day early am lunch and around 6.20pm to cavtat which is worth a visit for more restaurants shops and beautiful seaside location. Thankyou again andro for all you help and you won’t be disappointed if you love the peace and quiet .

Stunning setting for a gorgeous Villa

Villa Oliva is set within an olive grove on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley. The land and hols around have been owned by the family for over 400 years. It is incredibly peaceful and the views are breathtaking. You can enjoy the view from the pool or covered dining/BBQ area, all immaculately laid out. We also had a gift of home made wine, grapes and figs from Andro, who was also really kind and helpful. It is a short car drive from the airport, but also to the local shops. In the other direction there are two restaurants on the river both worth visiting five mins away. Everything is within a short easy drive even though it feels like you are out of the way up at the Villa. For an alternative evening’s entertainment, again, it’s a twenty min drive into the coastal town of Cavtat! During the day you can catch a boat to Dubrovnik and back. There’s also Sokol Grad castle nearby, which is worth a visit. All in all it was a very relaxing holiday and we are looking to book again for next year too. Thank you Stane, Andro and Simon.

Beautiful setting and fabulous holiday house. Definitely one of the best we have ever stayed in.

We absolutely loved staying in Stane's beautiful holiday house. The setting is perfect. Feels away from it all but actually really easy to get to the main road and all the attractions. It was so easy to get here from the airport with easy to follow instructions, even in the dark! Andro was there to greet us and show us around. Thanks to Andro for being so helpful and making great recommendations for places to visit. We loved the folk dancing at Cilipi and a wonderful hidden beach at Pasjaca which was one of the highlights of our holiday, made especially wonderful as Andro lent is snorkeling masks and we saw some lovely fish. We also loved Cavtat and the boat trip from there to Dubrovnik. Wandering around the walled city was a great day trip. We also recommend the bars in Gruda for a refreshing drink and the lovely restaurant Konoba Vinica Monkovic where we sat by the river under the trees, idyllic. We also visited Sokol Tower which is only 10 minutes up the road and has amazing views. The house was so comfortable with a king sized bed and good size singles for our tall teenage daughters. The sitting room was perfect for late evenings and even has a smart TV! We loved the outside seating area perfect for eating, reading in the shade and playing cards. The whole house was so well kitted out and the kitchen was great. We always like to cook on holiday and this kitchen had everything we needed, a real treat. We loved the pool it was kept so clean and had everything we needed, poolside shower, sun loungers, and inflatables. The outside BBQ area was great and we used this several times. Really fun to use the outside kitchen and have lamps on as the sun goes down. The views from the pool and house were fabulous, looking over vineyards and olive farms, so beautiful. Thank you Stane, we had a wonderful week and will definitely be back!

Lovely villa in a peaceful location

My husband and I have just spent a week at Villa Olivia and highly recommend it for anyone wanting peace and quiet within a short drive of restaurants and places of interest. The villa is very comfortable, with the bonus of air conditioning if required. The views are gorgeous and there is plenty of space for everyone and it was wonderful to have the lovely private pool to cool off in after a day exploring the area. We enjoyed having breakfast in the covered eating area outside the front door, and ate dinner or drank wine at the little table on the terrace by the pool, watching the spectacular sunsets. As the villa is only approx 40 minutes' drive from the airport it's an easy drive after your flight. Stane was very responsive with any questions I had prior to our trip, and as her brother lives nearby there is someone on hand locally should there be any issues during your stay. The area is not "touristy" at all, which is why we chose it. For eating out locally, we enjoyed meals at both Konoba Vinica Monkovic and Konavoski Dvori in Ljuta; both are on the river and serve really delicious food in a lovely setting. Further afield we recommend visiting Cavtat, about 25 minutes away; there is a lovely walk along the waterfront and around the headland, and we took boat trips from there to the Elafiti Islands and Dubrovnik (tip: visit Dubrovnik on a Tuesday or Thursday as less likely to be full of cruise ship passengers, though it will still be busy!). There is also a bus terminal for an alternative route to Dubrovnik and further afield. There are numerous bars and restaurants in Cavtat for more eating options and we ate in this lovely little town on a few occasions. Other places we visited were Sokol Grad, a fortress only a few minutes' drive from the villa, Cilipi to see the folk dancing in the square on a Sunday morning, and the Trsteno Arboretum north of Dubrovnik. We were only here for a week but in such a beautiful relaxing setting we felt we'd been away for much longer.

Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und haben die Privatsphäre in der ruhigen Lage mit dem wundervollen Ausblick und Pool genossen. Die Wohnung ist super ausgestattet. Wonderful stay in Croatia

What a fabulous time we had at this wonderful property in Croatia! The communication from start to finish was faultless - in these uncertain times the advice and guidance given from Fran was really appreciated and gave us the confidence (and time) to make the decision to go... and we are so glad we did! The property is about 20 mins from the beautiful Cavtat and 40 mins from Dubrovnik - it is isolated but serene and quiet. The outside area is as shown on the photos but the internal photos don’t do the interior justice. It is bright, clean and spacious. Due to huge increase in cost, we didn’t rent a car which was advised, and instead gambled in us getting taxis (Uber) when we wanted to venture out - which we did every day. Although ideally you’d rent a car, this didn’t effect our stay and we were lucky enough to get the contact details of the taxi driver who took us from the airport and he was essentially our driver for the week! As a guide, the villa to Cavtat costs about £20 each way - which was significantly cheaper than the daily rental for a car at the time (£100) although if we’d booked earlier, car hire would have been cheaper. If you want a quiet and peaceful break - with the children entertained in the swimming pool - then I can highly recommend this property. We loved it! Thank you Fran and Andro (who lives just up the hill and is on hand for any emergencies and pool cleaning - and met us with beautiful wine and olive oil on arrival) we had a fabulous time!!

Super Ferienwohnung, tolle Lage, alles da

Die Ferienwohnung ist in einem größeren Haus, welches aber ansonsten nicht bewohnt ist. Man hat absolute Privatsphäre. Die Wohnung ist sauber und exzellent ausgestattet. Die Lage ist phantastisch mit einer tollen Aussicht. Der Pool ist privat und sauber. Der Bruder der Vermieterin kümmert sich und ist super freundlich. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Peaceful and beautiful

We had a very enjoyable week in Villa Olivia! The house provided everything we needed and more. It was spotlessly clean in and out and the beds were excellent. I'm a restless sleeper but I slept like a baby. The kitchen is small but we enjoyed cooking simple meals. Communication with the owner was very fast and easy, and the owners brother lives just next door and gave us very good tips and was a great person to chat with. He even gave us fresh vegetables from their garden along with wine and olive oil. He also kept the pool nice and clean. The greatest feature of the house is obviously the outside: the amazing view, the gentle scent of the lavender, and of course the pool which was very welcome on hot afternoons. Also the covered barbeque area was nice and we had a very tasty grilled meal there. The nearest town (Gruda) is a short drive away and offers basic shopping and some restaurants with great pizza. Our kids (11 & 16) enjoyed snorkeling in Molunat and Cavtat. The amazing Pasjaca beach is also worth visiting. We want to thank both Stane and Andro for preparing the house with a short notice and fluent communication. We can warmly recommend this place. We felt welcome and enjoyed every minute!

Villa Oliva is a truly hidden gem. Just perfect.

An outstanding holiday experience from the first contact enquiry with Stane to actually staying in Stane's holiday home. We arrived late on a dark warm Sunday night in September, however with Stane's emailed detailed directions and knowing that Stane's brother Andro was there to support our arrival and settling in took away any anxiety and stress associated with travel to new place. Villa Oliva is perfectly situated with only 20 minutes from the airport. My first impression on Villa Oliva was the cleaness also the support items that Stane has in the villa, everything that you can imagine from washing powder to a needle and thread. Stane has made Villa Oliva a home from home holiday experience for her guests. We visited stunning Cavtat a few times, both day and evening. Parking in Cavtat's town parking was easy and taking the longer walk around the bay was just beautiful, which we would highly recommend. We had a fantastic meal at La Boheme in Cavtat, fabulous food and presentation, with impeccable service. Took the boat trip from Cavtat to Dubrovnik, taking advice from a previous holiday guest/review and visited on a Tuesday as less cruise ships. Although still rather busy it is a beautiful town and has to be experiened. You can buy tickets for many boat trips from boat sellers on Cavtat harbour, all are very friendly. We visited local towns such as Cilipi for the Sunday folk dancing, costal towns Mlini, Srebreno and surreal Kupari, (an abandoned hotel resort) a place that truly is unique and for fabulously different holiday photos, I personally enjoyed the uniqueness of the old hotel resort. We also visited Sokol grad, a defensive medieval castle which is 5 minutes up the road from the Villa Oliva. The views are specular, so take your camera. Also we explored the Konovle region which is very pretty with the water mills and streams, and has two great restaurants in the area. All information is in a guest basket in the Villa. Tommy store is great for food shopping. Staff friendly and accommodating - all speak a little english. We have stayed in many holiday homes around the world for many years and we must say Villa Oliva is one of the tops when it comes down to cleanliness, quietness, resources, easy access to get to, great communication with owner and owners great brother and just a wonderful location. We would highly recommend Villa Oliva for a quiet peaceful holiday. Forgot to say the swimming pool is lovely. Thanks Stane.

The Konavle region is a rural area in the southern most part of Croatia with distinct character. A rocky coast on the south with mountains to the north, and a beautiful green valley in between. Villa Oliva sits at the top of the valley with beautiful views for miles around, whilst benefitting from being so close to the airport, beach resorts and Dubrovnik. A perfect place to enjoy a varied and relaxing holiday.
