Herencia Hideaway- Aislado Log Cabin

Herencia escondite es el lugar perfecto para desconectar y volver a conectar con sus seres queridos. Un entorno tranquilo y pintoresco para celebrar un aniversario o un cumpleaños, o simplemente escapar de la rutina diaria. Ubicada en 25 acres de acantilados escarpados y bosques de maderas duras, nuestra cabaña principal es una cabaña de troncos Amish completamente amueblada y moderna.

Un verdadero refugio, la cabaña está escondido detrás de la carretera principal, pero cerca de las instalaciones recreativas. Relajarse alrededor de una fogata o escuchar los sonidos de la naturaleza. Disfrutar de las vistas panorámicas y reunir con la familia donde las distracciones desaparecen.

Our stay was wonderful. The house was very clean and very cozy. It was our second time here and we will definitely be back. We went snowshoeing and hiking. The scenery was beautiful!

Beautiful, peaceful, and secluded stay, but with wifi and modern amenities. Lovely open concept cabin. Bedrooms are in an open loft style area. The hosts were friendly and easy to contact. We saw many animals including deer and bald eagles. A perfect choice for a quiet getaway.

Beautiful secluded property. Very well maintained. We took day trips to Lansboro and Harmony. Spend evenings at the property. We really enjoyed our stay. They have everything you need for some time away to relax.

This was our 7th stay at this property. Our experience was wonderful. This is truly a secluded property. We did have a few visitors though. A family of deer wandered across the driveway. A couple mature bald eagles share the skies above the property, and perched on a tree at the edge of the property. There were numerous species of birds going about their day. The cabin is as advertised. The hosts are very nice, and keep a well maintained property. We highly recommend a stay at the Heritage Hideaway. It's a great place to unwind at.

We absolutely loved this cabin!! If you love privacy and the great outdoors, this is for you!! My husband and I normally camp when we come here on vacation from Oklahoma, but this time we wanted to try renting a cabin to streamline our vacation. This was a wonderful decision!! We had the comforts of home inside but enjoying the outdoors too!!We saw deer several times, a woodchuck, wild turkeys, hummingbirds. We also got to do the other outdoor activities we enjoy such as golfing in Chatfield and Old Barn resort, biking, walking and running, going to the breweries in Fountain and Lanesboro. All of these activities were just a short drive away. We highly recommend this location!! The hosts were very attentive to our needs as well.

Spectacular weekend getaway for our family reunion! We enjoyed the large lawn area for croquet and frisbee games, and the fire pit with comfy chairs and picnic table for visiting, s’mores and evening sunsets. Gorgeous views from the hilltop site—cows, coyotes and owls serenading us in the distance! The cabin was super clean and nicely air conditioned to get away from summer afternoon heat, with lots of games & books for inside entertaining! Very comfortable beds in the lofts; well-appointed kitchen for putting together quick meals. A scenic 15-minute drive to Lanesboro for biking and shopping. Everyone enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and would love to return! We highly recommend!

Our stay at the Heritage Hideaway was peaceful and relaxing. The location was perfect for accessing the Root River Trail and all the communities in the area. Troy stopped in to welcome us and we enjoyed a friendly chat. We’ve been to the area many times and definitely rate this property as one of the most beautiful, clean and comfy!

We loved the space for indoor/outdoor games as a family, quiet nooks to read, and the kitchen/dining area for sharing meals. It was close enough to get to our daily activities in nearby towns, but so quiet and cozy when we wanted to relax!

This cabin is a gem! So close to so much fun. Check in was a breeze……the charcoal grill was great and they thought of everything. Fresh farm eggs. Would love to try it in the winter. Very tastefully done, a very good value.Prepare to relax.

Propietario/a: Troy & Laurie Danielson

Troy was born and raised in the Lanesboro area. He works as an Engineer for Minnesota Department of Transportation in Rochester. In his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing and just generally being outdoors. The Danielson family continues to maintain the original family farm nearby. Laurie grew up in west central Wisconsin on a small hobby farm. She works as a pharmacist for Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She loves living on the Root River and enjoys gardening, cross country skiing, snow shoeing and biking the Root River Bike trail. We feel fortunate to live in such a beautiful place and enjoy meeting our guests. We hope you enjoy your visit to the Lanesboro area.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The cabin site was once a heavily wooded pasture to a neighboring farm. The main cabin was built off site by local Amish and moved into place in 2001. The original log structure had seasonal indoor plumbing and an outhouse nearby. We purchased the property in 2011 and started work on the bathroom & laundry addition January 1, 2012. In keeping with the "rustic" feel of the cabin, finish work utilized recycled barn boards from Laurie's childhood farm.

The pictures and many items in the cabin reflect our personal heritage. From the handmade quilt from Grandma Christine to the barn pulleys from the original Danielson family farm, all are reflecting the value of hard work and thriftiness instilled in us from our ancestors. We hope you enjoy the peace and beauty of Heritage Hideaway and are inspired to reflect on your own personal heritage.
