Casa Vera

Casa VERA, once horse stable of the antique palace belonged to Lord Guinigi (1400s) now it has been converted into a homey apartment with a private fenced garden. The renovation was done to highest standards making up 2 comfortable bedrooms (both with king size beds), 2 bathrooms both with grand built-in showers, AIR CONDITIONING, WIFI, a private fenced garden furnished with table and chairs and a little sofa, any kind of kitchen appliance and utensils.
For larger groups (up to 8 guests) the two apartments can be rented together as well making up a total of 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.

The apartment has double entrance, one from the garden and one from the street. It is composed of: a spacious living area with living room, a fully equipped kitchen with dining room, 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a LAUNDRY ROOM fully equipped with washer/dryer, iron and board.

The apartment is sun exposed all day which makes it very bright all day, this is a very rare thing in Italy!

The location is the quietest and the nicest, overlooking the gardens from where the lovely chirping of birds comes.

The apartment is very suggested for 2 couple of friends travelling together as the bedroom and bathrooms organization provides privacy for everyone; but it is also suggested for 2 friends trafelling together that do not want to share same bedroom and same bathroom as well as for a family of 4.

Great apartment and location

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in Lucca. Very close to bike rentals, main amphitheater area (lots of restaurants) and main shopping area. Every is basically a short walk within the walls.

Great holiday home

A lovely property that was perfect for our party ( two couples) We loved the outside area for relaxing at the end of the day. The location is a great base for exploring Lucca.

Casa Vera was exactly the type of,place we love to stay in. Comfortable, well equipped and nicely located just inside Lucca’s ‘Mura Urbane’ rampart wall. Easy walk to a taxi stand and many, many cafes and restaurants. We would happily stay here again

Great property just inside the city wall

Excellent location

Perfect for 2 or 4 people to stay. Close to food, groceries and shopping. Train and bus station within 20 minute walk. First floor was a plus. Taxi stand 4 minutes walk. A great place to stay.

Wonderful 3 weeks!

The property was exactly as advertised, and in a good location in Lucca. It was on a fairly busy street during the day, but very quiet at night. Loved the front bedroom, with the French doors to patio. A little inconvenient with the bathroom off the hallway, but the 2nd bedroom had an en-suite bath and both bathrooms were very modern . Delightful!

Perfectly situated apartment

The property was exactly as pictured and described so it was no surprise that the garden was a very pretty patio, enclosed by a screening hedge. It was delightful for the 2 of us. Communication was very good and when the WiFi went down, within minutes of the agent checking it out, the owner appeared and fixed it!

The best Lucca apartment ever

The apartment was perfect! Loved the decor, the location and it had everything you would need to feel right at home. We stayed there while visiting out daughter who was studying in Lucca and it was the perfect place for her to come and stay with us. I didn't want to leave. And the Lucca apartments and villas staff was so accommodating and helpful. It was a wonderful stay.

Wonderful

I loved my stay in Lucca and this property was amazing. From the kitchen window I could see people walking on the wall and steps to get on the wall was just across the road. Having the private garden was great for morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evening. It is very quiet in the garden with birds singing and music coming from ,I think, the Music Institue. I also heard church bells, it was wonderfully relaxing. Having a washer/drying machine was very convenient and the bedrooms in the back by the garden were very quiet. Would highly recommend this propery.

Excellent apartment in brilliant location in Lucca

There were 4 of us, and we all had an excellent stay in Lucca in this apartment. The two bedrooms were comfortable and private. 2 bathrooms made things convenient, and there were separate eating/relaxing areas (inside and in courtyard). The property manager made the check in a breeze, and promptly helped deal with a minor issue. She also gave us some useful suggestions. Location inside the walls is perfect. Ground floor meant it was easily accessible. Couldn’t be happier

Lucky find in Lucca

We were glad to be welcomed to Casa Vera after a hectic visit to crowded Florence. The house is beautiful, we are two mature ladies and appreciated the cleanliness the comfort and the attention to detail in this lovely house. We hope to return one day and highly recommend the house and Lucca Apartments And Villas.. We found the recycling of garbage somewhat confusing. We suggest that there are separate bins in the house, colour-coded and labelled appropriately particularly for the food etc waste.

Car parking was not as advertised. Explanation of amenities was not given when we opened up Contact w hosts was very inadequate. Kitchen utensils not available. Drapes in bedroom were filthy Could not utilize patio table. Had to ask for shade cover. Tv not working when we got there Blood stain on bedroom pillow All in all they were not ready for guest arrival I have used VRBO since 2007. This was by far the worst experience ever

Best apartment in Lucca!

We just returned from a fantastic month in Lucca in this exquisite apartment just inside the walls close to the P. Santa Maria and San Frediano. This was my 3rd stay in Lucca and my 3rd time renting from Mrs. Sonia, who manages a wide range of really beautiful apartments in Lucca. Mrs. Sonia is professional, organized, responsive, and kind. Her properties are well maintained, clean, well appointed, and nicely decorated. This bright and beautiful antique-filled apartment has 2 good sized bedrooms with comfortable large beds and lots of storage. The 2 large, modern, fully-tiled bathrooms (1 ensuite and 1 off the hallway) have huge rain shower heads and top of the line plumbing fixtures. The living room and kitchen are on the smaller side they are open to each other through a lovely high archway and have very high ceilings and 3 large double windows looking across the street & open space to the historic walls. The narrow living room has a comfy large sofa & ottoman and a flat screen TV. The kitchen has a marble topped table with 4 chairs, full-sized fridge, dishwasher, 4 burner gas cooktop, oven (all new appliances) and plenty of dishes, tableware, and cookware. The lighting throughout the apartment is excellent, with a beautiful Venetian chandelier in the kitchen, sconces in the living room, hall, and bedroom, georgeous antique lamps in the living room and bedrooms, and modern ceiling lighting throughout. The flooring is antique tile from Florence laid in a herringbone pattern with nice throw rugs to make things cozy one bedroom has beautiful wood floors. Both bedrooms are in the back of the apartment away from the street, so they are quiet at night, and both have luxurious ceiling to floor heavy silk draperies which make the rooms very dark for sleeping but when pulled back in the day fill the rooms with loads of natural light and lovely views of the private gated garden which is equipped with a table, 4 chairs, umbrella, & chaise lounge. The apartment's location is a 2 minute walk from the walls, the main shopping street, many bakeries & cafes, and is an easy walk to public transportation. The large supermarket outside the walls is an easy 5 min walk. There is a music school nearby so on some days you can hear lovely notes wafting across the private gated parking area behind the apartment. We loved everything about this apartment: the location, the very kind owners (who live upstairs), Mrs. Sonia, and Lucca. Looking forward to returning next year!

Casa aconchegante, limpa e bem localizada. Porém, ficamos duas vezes sem água quente. Resolveram o problema, mas houve esse incômodo, de banho gelado. O administrador que estávamos em contato, demorou para nos atender algumas vezes e tivemos que chamar outros responsáveis. Em um quarto havia 2 cobertores suficientes, mas no outro, somente lençóis! Após muita insistência, providenciaram no terceiro dia. A casa é muito boa, a falha foi realmente no atendimento.

Our stay was to short

If you want to stay in Lucca this is an idyllic choice. Situated within the walls of the old town, close to shops, restaurants (one very good restaurant 10 meters away from the front door) and all the historic sites. Our only complaint is that our stay was so short.

Very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and a pleasure to use. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very nicely furnished and pleasant. Loved the terrace! If 4 people are staying it would be nice to figure out a way to add a chair to the sitting area so everyone can sit together and relax. The ottoman works but isn’t super comfortable. But I really enjoyed the stay.

Love Lucca and attended the language school

The property is lovely and in a great location. Kitchen and living room are small though well appointed. They are on the dark side if the building. Bedrooms were spacious and sunny. Typically there is no heat in October in Lucca due to local regulations. The first night was very cold with no heat and no blankets. However the concierge,Manuel, was very receptive and the following day the heat was on and blankets delivered. We were able to enjoy the apartment for the rest of the week. I would recommend the apartment especially for its quality and location. If you go in October ask about heat.

Excellent in every way!

Great location - plenty of sites, restaurants and shops within a 3 minute walk! Loved the style of the apartment, it was well equipped with all the amenities plus washing powder, washing up liquid etc. Air con worked a treat, and bathrooms were glorious. We didn’t take a car, so we can’t comment on parking. But we walked 15 mins to the train station to go to the beach, and the same distance to the bus stop to and from Pisa airport. Can’t really fault the place, great value, would come again any day!
