We enjoyed having the laundry outside our door. The pool and beach were easily accessible. No real complaints!

Family Vacation

The room was neat and clean. We loved it being right on the beach. The personal were all very friendly and helpful. The only thing is the mattresses are so hard. I know you can’t please everyone when it comes to their comfort level but I personally ended up with a backache from the mattress the last day of our stay.

Beach trip

We had so much fun at this condo! It was super nice and clean! The only thing we wish we had was more blankets in the condo because it got cold at night:) We would definitely stay here again in the future. I also could not figure out where the washer and dryer was.. the front desk did not give us the key at first. I messaged the host of this condo on the VRBO app and he immediately got back to me and the staff was super nice and gave us washer/ dryer key.

Loving the beach at Holiday Surf & Racquet Club Destin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Just ended a six week stay at Holiday Surf in Destin. Wonderful weather, white sand beaches, great staff and a lovely condo! You could not ask for more! We have stayed at Holiday Surf several years, but our first time in this condo and we loved it. All you could ask for as well as poolside with a great view of the ocean. The time just flew by with all the activities available here, pickleball, shuffleboard, the beach, pool and more. Also enjoyed taking day trips to seaside, Fort Walton and others. Such a wonderful experience that we cannot wait to come back next year!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a good stay this time with only a few of problems with our unit. The beds were horrible. They both really need to be replaced. We didn't get one good nights sleep on our stay. The ventilation in the king suite didn't seem to be working correctly. It was always warmer than the rest of the unit. The exhaust fan in the king suite didn't seem to work very well. The bathtub in the king suite drained very slowly.

Not impressed

The pictures and description is very misleading on this unit. The primary bedroom king size bed is leaning on one side and you barely have a full size bed once you accommodate the fall. The cleaning was no good, lots of hair everywhere, sofas were filthy, and the bathroom tubs and toilets are very old. The only thing renovated was the kitchen. The laundry is not inside of the unit it is on the outside by the front door and can only be accessed outside and with a key. The view from the balcony was the best part. I loved the location and proximity to the beach but will not stay anymore. I’m glad I packed my own linen, towels, and wash clothes because the ones they provided were disgusting, oh and they will not refresh them except on two days throughout the week so you better pack extra. 2 stars for the balcony view and over all location. This is a no go in the future, needs a complete renovation and a new king bed!

Low stress and lots of fun!

We had such a great time! Hands down, one of the most stress-free vacations to the beach we’ve had. We loved being able to walk right out the door and down to the beach. It was so nice to not have to find parking and lug all the kids’ stuff to and from the car. The condo was extremely convenient and the staff was phenomenal, making us feel right at home. We loved every minute of our trip and will definitely be back in the future!

We loved the location, delicious food just across the water!!The beach chair service was absolutely wonderful!! The condo was perfect!! The pool area was nice and front desk very accommodating. Loved that the beach was so close to the boardwalk! Destin is a gem!!We will be back!

Perfect Location

This unit was perfect location. Not only was it beach front but you have a perfect view of the pool. Unit was perfect size for our family/friends group of 6. My daughter and her friend said even the pull out couch was comfy. The mattress in the master bedroom could be updated but wasn’t horrible. I also suggest a newer set of pots and pans for the unit as that was really my only complaint.

Beautiful & Clean

After coming to Destin for over 20 years this was our first stay at Holiday Surf. We loved it. The room was beautiful and clean. We loved the decor. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. Having your own washer and dryer was wonderful. Loved that the condo had hooks on the deck for drying your beach towels. The only problem we had was the hot water ran out after one shower. The maintenance guy was helpful and friendly. He was able to turn up the temperature on the water heater. Having umbrella and beach chairs set up was important. The beach guys were friendly and accommodating. We didn’t care for having to put your tag on an umbrella early each morning (7am) in order to reserve your umbrella and chairs. We like to sleep in a little since we’re on vacation. Wish instead that maybe just automatically have your chairs set up and reserved for you. One small request would be to have a comfortable chair for reading on the deck in addition to the nice high top table and chairs you already have. Can’t wait to come back to the same condo. Thanks for making our vacation so wonderful.

Kitchen was very well stocked and one you could actually cook in. Whole unit was super clean! Obviously recently updated with extremely tasteful decor and felt very high end. It’s own washer and dryer was also a huge plus for this complex. I cannot say enough good things about this unit. We did not want to leave and cannot wait to go back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really liked unit 213! I loved being on the second floor with our balcony overlooking the pool and the beach. I liked that the entrance was outside so that you don’t have to deal with going through the lobby. Unit 213 has it’s own washer and dryer. Be sure to get the key because it is located outside the door of the condo. The unit was clean and decorated with a cute beach theme.The beach is easy to access. Other reviews of trouble getting chairs is the truth. You have to stand on the beach to reserve a spot at 7-7:30am for the umbrella and chair set up. It would be nice if they had enough to go around for all of their guests. The water is very clear if you have good weather. We went following a tropical storm so the first couple of days the water was nothing special. It did get clearer as the days went on. We had one day where it was as clear as any island water that I have ever seen! Most days you could see your feet. The sand is soft and white!The only thing that would have really made it exceptional for us would be food options within walking distance. Having a restaurant and bar at the resort would really kick it up a notch! There are no restaurants or tiki bars close by on the beach.Overall we had a great vacation and enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Surf!

Everything was great with one exception

The room was recently remodeled and, with one notable exception, it is nice and comfortable.Here's the exception: ALL OF THE BEDS ARE HORRIBLE. The mattresses are thin and droop, the frames squeak loudly when you get into bed and every time you move, and our backs hurt every morning. Did it ruin our trip? No, of course not. But improving the beds would have made it more enjoyable and allowed us to get a better night's sleep.
