Este estudio tipo condominio frente al mar en el Hotel Mare (anteriormente ESJ Azul o ESJ Towers) está ubicado en el centro de la mejor playa de San Juan, Isla Verde Beach, a solo 3 minutos en auto del Aeropuerto Internacional de San Juan. Cuenta con las comodidades de un hotel combinadas con la comodidad de un espacioso estudio totalmente equipado. El hotel está ahora bajo una nueva administración y ha sido totalmente reformado. Es parte de una cadena llamada St. Claire Collection, que incluye tres hoteles de lujo: Mare, Jade y Noire., Como invitado, tendrá el privilegio de alquilar este apartamento privado a aproximadamente la mitad de la tarifa que cobra el hotel por unidades similares. Está en el piso 15 con una espectacular vista panorámica de la playa de Isla Verde, la mejor de Puerto Rico. Junto al Hotel y Casino El San Juan y otros hoteles y restaurantes importantes, a cinco minutos del aeropuerto. Las instalaciones del hotel incluyen una gran piscina, jacuzzi, restaurante, bar, sala de videojuegos, sala de juegos, gimnasio con sauna, duchas, gimnasio totalmente equipado y taquillas, correo de voz y deportes acuáticos en nuestra playa. La capacidad máxima es de 4 personas (incluye adultos y niños).. Tarifa de $ 20 / noche para cualquier persona adicional. Mare se encuentra entre dos hoteles principales: El Hotel y Casino El San Juan y el Hotel y Casino Ritz Carlton. Otros grandes hoteles, restaurantes y clubes nocturnos se alinean en la avenida principal. La playa de Isla Verde es la mejor playa de San Juan, ¡sin excepción!

Great Place-As Advertised

Lionel Sally’s place was perfect to work remotely from for a week in PR. Walkable to grocery store, restaurants, bars, and close to the airport. Convenient location and great beaches. Would stay again.

I had a great time easy to get around very clean and friendly staff the owners are very easy to talk to. I definitely will come back great veiw from the deck . Thanks lonnie and his wife i definitely recommend staying at there home.

Great Spring Break

The location was great, super easy to walk to the grocery store or places to eat. The beach was easy to access and wonderful to both swim and lay out at. The unit was super clean and the perfect size for what we needed. The balcony was super pretty as well. Overall, had an amazing experience at ESJ Towers!

Great place!

I have family in P.R but I need to some work done while visiting. The view was fantastic. I was able to get all my work done before time. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely stay here again. Will recommend it to my friends and colleagues.

Easy to gain entry.

Hosts responsive and friendly. Property nicely updated. Everything you need for the beach is in the apartment. Lovely view of the ocean and the airport runways.

My stay was perfect & no issues. Check in was effortless. Apartment was a beautiful oceanview @ great location. Enjoyed beautiful daily sunrises. Great

Easy access to the beach, great view, clean room, a handful of restaurants within walking distance, and a supermarket is a 15 min walk away. For the most authentic Puerto Rican dishes, I recommend driving 15 min (lots of traffic) to the neighborhood of the New Reef. The new reef area is a lively scene and has a strip of local eatery's.

Convenient Location

This location was perfect for my business trip. Was able to do what I went there to do and have some fun as well. Close to everything, the beach, the market, restaurants, and shopping.Was going to rent a car and didn’t need to. Only complaints,was you can really hear the wind blowing inside Once the balcony door was open And balcony door did not lock. Tho we didn’t need the tv I couldn’t manage to get it to work. Besides that maybe some Simple updating.The view makes up for it all! Lionel was great checking in with me and when I had questions and concerns. Will definitely consider again if in the area.

This studio had everything we needed!

My friend and I have stayed at ESJ for the last couple of years and this was by far our favorite studio rental property! It is a very simple room, minimally decorated with the maximum supply of what we needed for our trip. Our check in process was simple and the communication was excellent! The kitchen was stocked with every cooking utensil you would ever need, down to storage containers for what you cooked. There were extra supplies under the bathroom cabinet, beach chairs, a small cooler, a beach umbrella…. the list goes on and on. We literally had everything we needed! Top it off with a breathtaking view every night on the balcony, being steps away from the beach and just blocks from the grocery store and pharmacy, it couldn’t have been any more perfect. I was also impressed with how the moisture was handled in our room. We have stayed in rentals in the past that had mold and mildew problems because of the humidity of the island. The air conditioner running constantly, ventilation in the bathroom, proper sealing around the door panel and “Damp Rids” dispersed throughout the room made this room very comfortable and free of the mildew smell and mold that we have encountered in the past. This room is great for someone that has allergies or issues with mold. We were so grateful to have such a good experience and would absolutely stay here again!

Unbeatable Location

The listing accurately describes the rental. For half the cost of staying at a hotel, we got a great location with 24/7 security. The unit has a kitchenette with good sized appliances. The bathroom floor plan worked well for my family (3 adults). It has a powder room with large closet that leads to a door with the shower and toilet suite. Since the building is a mixed use property, the lobby has a hotel feel, with the new bar nestled between the two lobby entrances. For those that need to have a pool, check the day pass at the San Juan Hotel & Casino. It’s literally, next to the ESJ. Restaurants, bars, and grocery store (Pueblo) are walking distance. The beds are comfortable and even have extra storage (the closet and chest drawers were enough for the 3 of us). It was a delight to rent from Lionel. The building is undergoing renovations but the price of the rental does reflect the nuisance.

Hotel needs repair

The host was absolutely wonderful and communicating and checking on us throughout our entire stay I will say however the hotel is in bad need of repairs the pool isn't available everything is dirty the game room most of the games don't work there's a bar and a restaurant and a cafe advertised just being located on the site of the property none of these things exist or are open again the property manager was wonderful but when I come back I will not stay here again I can find similar accommodations with a pool and a spot etc for roughly the same price point

Great room, great location

Staying at this room at the ESJ Towers was great. Everything from the shower to the kitchen was immaculately clean. (I know because I lost a pin to my watch and had to crawl around on the floor to find it!) The air conditioning was top-notch -- which was important because it was 90+ degrees just about every day. From the very beginning, the owners provided everything I needed and needed to know plenty of time before my vacation started. The location of the ESJ Towers is perfect. Literally just a just a few steps from a nice quiet beach -- not too crowded and it felt quite safe. The water was a perfect temperature and jumping in the water was a wonderful relief after getting just the right amount of sun. There are plenty of stores and restaurants (local places and some big chains) within walking distance - even a 24-hour market. Just about everything else is a short Uber away! If you're thinking about renting this place -- do it! It's the perfect combination of staying in a big-time hotel and renting someone's home. Five giant starts and big thank-you for this place!

7 min away from airport and walking distance from food and drinks!

Our stay at Lionel and Sally’s place was incredible. The 15th floor studio apartment has a great balcony view of the beach which you have access to directly, as once you book you are a guest of the hotel. Meaning, you have access to the hotels game room, fitness center, bar and lounge area, jacuzzi, pool, beaches and more. The room was spotless and house keeping was ready to come in and clean once our stay was over. Lionel and Sally are flexible with a late checkout, should that be something you’re interested in if you have an evening flight. The hotel will store your luggage once you’re checked out if you still want to get in the beach or pool or even checkout the neighborhood one last time. The studio is a fully furnished apartment, which means you have access to the kitchen, should cooking be an option for you. Lionel and Sally also provide a cooler and 4 beach chairs to bring onto the beach, which made my boyfriend and I’s day! Nice clean towels and a bar of soap are provided as well. Be sure to bring your own toiletries. CVS and Pueblo Supermarket, which are about a 5 minute walk from your room, are open 24/7. Alambique Beach Lounge (more of a drink and dine experience) and Los Gorditos restaurant (more of a tropical high quality fast food place) have great food and are within walking distance. El San Juan Hotel which is approximately 100 feet away (literally right next door), offers free live music nightly as well. Location is a selling point as the moment you exit the airport, you’re a $7 Uber ride and 7 minutes away from your hotel. Clean apartment, great and attentive hosts, access to all hotel amenities, seamless check-In and checkout at the hotels front desk, and safe location to walk around during the day and evening is a plus. Highly recommend the place and will be returning in the near future. Thanks Lionel and Sally.

Look no further...

Loved, loved, loved this property! Very comfortable studio apt that could accommodate at least 4 people. Everything you need is at your disposal. Full kitchenette. We made our own breakfast every morning, which we ate on the balconey with a spectacular view of the beach/ocean on one side and airport on the other side. My daughter and I would sit on the balcony at all times often and would watch planes of all sizes landing and taking off. Distance to and from the airport in less than 5 minutes. Restaurants, supermarket and lots of fun places to explore. The beach, steps away with private access. The owner, Mr Kaufman was in contact with me before, during and to the end of our stay. Any questions or concern he was just a text or phone call away. There is some remodeling construction going on but only during the day and to honest, I didn't even hear them and it didn't stop us from enjoying our stay there. Thank you Lionel, hope to be back again some day.

Great location!

We loved the location of the place. Close to rental car places and right on the beach. Easy to access the highway to go other places like the ferry for Culebra or the rainforest. If there was anything I'd change I would have liked a couple more towels and a couple extra blankets. We stayed 9 nights and there were 3 of us with one towel each. So we had to do laundry halfway through the stay and it was expensive. The blankets on the bed are very thin and would have liked a extra. But besides that it was perfect!!

Great location with great view

Great beach apartment with all the amenities you need. Good location close to the airport, short uber from old San Juan and near by rental car and restaurants. Wifi is free from the hotel and it can be little intermittent, but other than that it is great.

Close to everything. Only that restaurant was closed.Bar open but very expensive for drinks had. Had no coke, sprite.diet coke,tonic water.

We are retired teachers. Lionel retired as a full professor at the University of Puerto Rico. Sally retired as an English as a Second Language teacher at Buchanan Army Base in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We are both English-Spanish bilinguals. Lionel was born in New York and Sally is from Cleveland, Ohio. Lionel likes tennis and boating. Sally like walking the beach and Yoga. We lived in Puerto Rico for over 34 years and now reside in Sarasota, Florida. But we travel to the island frequently. People calls us “Gringo Ricans” since Puerto Rico has been so much a part of our lives.

We bought this property back in the middle 1980's, not only as an investment, but also to have access to the beach since our house in Rio Piedras was several miles from the coast. We are one of the original owners in the building, and even today, some 30 years late, we pride ourselves in maintaining one of the most updated apartment in the building.

You can't beat the location--on the beach, located between two major Hotels and Casinos, the El San Juan Hotel and Casino and the Ritz Carlton Hotel and Casino. This is a condo-hotel (1/3 hotel, 1/3 time share, and 1/3 private owned apartment). It is unique in that you experience residing in a privately owned unit while you can enjoy all the amenities of a major hotel. And one other advantage: It is the most secure location of any condominium in San Juan.
