Really good villa and holiday experience

We stayed for a week in August as a family of four. The villa was excellent and the whole experience, from booking to having our week away was 5 star. It's a really good family villa with a great pool area. There are also good restaurants within walking distance if you don't want to drive or taxi.

Review

Very clean, well equipped. Plenty of lovely towels. Plenty of storage space. Good location for outings. Quiet area. Lovely pool with lots of sun beds. Would stay again! Mattress in travel cot. Broken tiles in and around pool. Ones on steps in pool sharp and dangerous. Decor a little dated.

Fantastic stay

We had an amazing 5 night break at Casa Santalena. Accommodation was spacious and comfortable and the villa was equipped with absolutely everything you’d find at home. Lovely clean pool and massive outdoor area. Couldn’t fault anything. The online guide is very helpful and informative. There’s a small supermarket on the doorstep that sells everything you could need and the restaurants close by do fantastic takeaway food. Would definitely return. Thanks for making an awesome holiday perfect! A bit more info on how to get to the bins to empty rubbish on check out. It was easy enough to find where to take it once we’d wandered around but quite a haul.

Acogedora - Tranquila - Bien Ubicada

Todo se correspondía al anuncio. Casa acogedora, zona muy tranquila, parecía que no había nadie en la zona, pero muy buena ubicación. Cerca de muchas playas (la mejor la que estaba más cerca, Praia Dos Carneiros, a 4 Km) y supermercados. Había un pequeño supermercado a 1min andando.....recomendable 100%. Si le tuviese que poner una pega, sería la falta de césped, aún así lo dicho anteriormente lo compensa, repetiremos seguro.

Stunning villa and pool

This villa ticks all the boxes,it is so spacious. The pool is just lovely and we definitely made the most of it. The bathrooms are lovely and modern and the kitchen is well equipped. The villa is in a really quiet area,it was so peaceful. There is a shop around the corner and a lovely Italian restaurant. We hired a car and visited a few local beaches. There is also an Aldi 5mins away. I would definitely recommend this villa to others. We did have a couple of water outages during our stay which was an inconvenience but the management company were really helpful.

Casa Santelena

We had a wonderful time in Casa Santelena. We enjoyed the pool and everything the villa provided for us. There were 4 adults and one baby. Plenty of room for all of us. We had a courtesy visit after our day of arrival to check if we needed any help which was very useful. Overall we would stay there again. The oven temperature dial didn't work properly. You had to turn the dial without the controller on to get it to work. It did get very hot in the living room as there was no air conditioning. There was a fan provided but I think it should of been a larger one to get some relief.

Uitstekende vakantiewoning op prachtlocatie.

Zeer mooie villa op een uitstekende locatie, veel genot op wandelafstand en misschien 1enkele tip, zwembad een beetje verwarmen, TOP.

Fantastic property

Party of six, 4 adults and 2 children - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at casa santalena. Amazing villa with good sized pool in a quiet area, totally met all our needs. Small supermarket conveniently located round corner from villa. Would have been nice if Carvoeiro town had been within closer proximity to walk but was a good 30 mins, too long for children in heat. Overall we had excellent time and villa really impressed us.

Excellent!!

Absolutely wonderful Villa everything you could wish for. Even had british TV for when the kids went to bed ha ha. Just one or two little niggles however, there were no Dinner plates for meal just small plates which I would describe as "Tea Plates". Also there are no shaver sockes in the bathrooms but other than that it was fantastic. You do need a car though if you want to visit anywhere. Local buses were good. There were seven of us including three young children so frequent trips to the Supermarket were in order but would definitely stay again. Thanks Marina and Phillip you were first class.

Lovely Villa

We had a great holiday. The villa was stocked with everything you would need for a very comfortable stay. The quality of furnishings was great and it was extremely clean. The outside space was lovely. Very private and very quiet. We all loved the large pool and the huge dining table and chairs! Couldn't fault a thing. Thank you.

Outstanding stay

We had the pleasure of staying at Santalena very recently and had a great time. The area of Sesmarias is quiet and peaceful, yet all the amenities we needed were within walking distance – a local shop, bars and two fantastic restaurants, one of which (Bon Bon) has just been awarded a Michelin star! The other – Oregano we had a fantastic 6 course meal for 4 people, the food was amazing and extremely reasonably priced. Only 10 minutes away was one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Praia da Marinha where we enjoyed exploring the beach, rocks and cliff top walks. Equidistant are a selection of golf options for those who like to play with some fantastic courses that are very well maintained. The villa is only 40 minutes (or less) drive from Faro airport or 2hrs from Lisbon, depending upon your preference, and car hire and the short drive was very straightforward. The villa is very spacious, with a large pool, good WiFi, large widescreen LCD TV with IPTV and excellent facilities. It has a master en-suite bathroom, a further bathroom and a separate WC, all, together with the kitchen have recently been re-fitted to a very high standard – it really was a great place to stay and I can’t wait to go back, I’m already checking the next available dates when we can book!

Fantastic Holiday - The best!

Had a great time! The villa and Sesmarias are both nice and quiet. Good space outside around the pool with and without shade, nice open plan living and dining space giving lots of room and the TV box was a pleasant surprise as Multi-Language TV is rare in Portugal. Good bedrooms and space for everything we needed. Kitchen is modern and well equipped. Nice bathrooms with modern showers and other accessories. Good place if you want to chill out and laze by the pool and also in reach of coastal walks and beautiful beaches. We ate out at some great restaurants which are local and are priced well for the food which is served, as one restaurant (Bon Bon) has been awarded a Michelin star. Also near the town of Carvoeiro where there are other good restaurants and Café’s. Large English and English speaking community. Lovely people, great food at good prices, quiet area, great traditional villa with modern fittings and a pool, all 5 minutes from a town and beach, what’s not to like?

Amazing, Fabulous Villa

We had a great 2 weeks over Easter, super weather and great Villa. Very spacious well designed accommodation, with all the rooms having double patio doors leading out to the lovely pool area was a real wow factor. The welcome pack was also a nice surprise. Having a well stocked local supermarket within a 5 minute walk was very convenient to. We look forward to returning next year.
