Original Beach Cottage - a pie de playa y del centro

Bellamente decorada casa de playa náutica y patriótica, luminosa y alegre. A solo tres cuadras y media (3 1/2) de la playa ya una cuadra y media (1 1/2) del centro. La cocina completa incluye microondas, lavavajillas, horno y anafe / estufa. Solarium trasero con lavadora y secadora grandes. La habitación familiar tiene un Smart TV montado en la pared de 55 "con NetFlix y Chromecast. Control remoto sin ductos HVAC en todo. Porche delantero con muebles de mimbre y brisa del mar. Proyectado en el porche con mesa de picnic, sillas de playa, tablas de surf, sombrilla, juguetes de playa, vagón de playa (nuevo 2018) y una gran ducha al aire libre. Televisores adicionales en el área común del segundo piso y un dormitorio en el primer piso. El nivel principal tiene dos habitaciones (una con cama queen y otra con gemelos / individuales) y baño completo con bañera / ducha. El segundo nivel tiene dos dormitorios (uno con cama queen y otro con dos gemelos / individuales) y baño completo con ducha.

Segundo nivel tiene área de descanso con escritorio / silla.

El alquiler incluye el uso del permiso de estacionamiento de la ciudad de Bethany. Fácil de caminar al centro y la playa.

Sugarloaf Cottage alquila de sábado a sábado en temporada. El check-in es a las 3:00 pm y el check-out es a las 10:00 am.

Really nice house located 10 minutes walk from the beach. House on a nice street with big old trees and also 10 minutes walk from the boardwalk. Convenient home with nice rooms and a good kitchen.

This was our second straight year staying here. We love it. The house is a short walk to downtown, and the pristine beach is walkable or a four-minute drive at 20 MPH. The house also has adjustable, quiet split-system AC throughout, so it is a cool oasis on the hottest days. My family commented that it "feels like home" now that we have returned.

We could not have found a better place for our week at the beach! We loved the layout of the house (2 rooms upstairs, 2 rooms downstairs) and was perfect for our family stay (3 couples). The sun porch was an absolute perfect thing to have in the 90 degree weather we spent so much time out there. We really liked the neighborhood and rented bikes for the week to get back and forth to the beach and boardwalk. The house was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed, can’t wait to hopefully stay again some day! We also really appreciated the grill and outdoor shower. Both were clean and ready to use!

Adorable Beach Cottage

We absolutely loved our stay at the Sugarloaf Cottage. Laura is a wonderful host who literally has provided everything you may need during your stay- the kitchen is extremely well stocked including the pantry, there are more than enough beach chairs, etc and she even has a rain umbrella and two rain jackets in the closet for those classic mid-day BB thunderstorms. Every little detail- practical and decorative- has been well thought out and implemented with care. The location is great. We walked to town a couple of times every day. Quite honestly, the listing photos do not do it justice. It is such a beautiful little slice of heaven!! Can’t wait to return!!

So clean, convenient, amazing hosts, fully appointed, cute house in cute, very safe neighborhood. Our entire family of adults and teens really enjoyed ourselves. No one wanted to leave. Linen service was great, too.

Bethany summer 2021

We had a terrific stay at the Irwin's beach cottage. The house is lovely, comfortable, and very well located. Beds were comfortable, the communication with the Irwins was excellent, and we had everything we needed and more. If you want a nice cozy house a relatively short walk (7 mins or so) to the beach and to the Bethany boardwalk, then this is a great place to stay.

Beautiful home located very near to the beach

Our family had a wonderful vacation here. The property was spotless, very comfortable and decorated in cheerful USA decor (which was especially fun since our trip was over the 4th of July). The bedrooms were spacious, the front porch was a great space for relaxing with a cup of coffee, the kitchen had everything we needed, the outdoor shower was terrific after a day at the beach. The location is absolutely great. We could walk to the beach in 10 minutes or less. The host was wonderful too. Thanks for providng such lovely accommodations for our terrific family vacation!

Wonderful stay!

We had a truly wonderful stay at the beach cottage! The home and property exceeded expectations. Everything was exceptionally clean and there was plenty of room for our family. The home was well equipped with beach gear and my youngest son loved all the books sprinkled throughout the home. The resident parking pass was very handy. This was our first stay at Bethany Beach and we had a great time. We loved that we were close to the beach and town center in Bethany, while Rehobeth and Oceancity were a short drive.

Better than expected

The photos and description of this home do not do it justice. The host was extremely responsive to my questions. The home was way larger than the photos make it appear. The location was super easy to access the beach from (very easy 10 minute walk, or quick trolley ride right from in front of the house). And the screened in porch and outdoor shower were perfect for meals and rinsing off after the beach. We loved our stay!!!

First Trip to BB

This beach house was the foundation for a great trip for our family to Bethany Beach. Having not been to BB before, we were operating in the unknown about the neighborhood, distance to the beach, and whether the house would suit our needs for our family of four. We could not have been more pleased with the quaint neighborhood, short/manageable walk to/from the beach and town center (with a 4 y/o) - made that much easier with a trolley that picked us up at the driveway or the wagon provided to tote our beach items (thank you for this!), and an inviting/quiet/comfortable house to return to after each trip. This was an ideal property to rent. Thank you!

Comfortable, Clean, Convenient, and As Advertised

We stayed in this home for the week of July 13-20 and truly enjoyed it. The owner could not have done a better job of communicating. The home was clean, well appointed, and totally comfortable, even during the hottest days of July 14-17. (The ductless cooling system works like a champ.) The beach and the downtown/boardwalk area are walkable, while everything else is a short drive. Even more convenient is the Bethany Beach Trolley. It is free and can be flagged down right in front of the house. It is a terrific way to leave the car, get where you want to go, and do a little bit to save the planet. We are already talking about going back next year. For real. Enjoy.

Close to beach, cozy, comfy and well stocked!

Will definitely stay at this house again!! The beds, couches, dining area and front porch chairs were all incredibly comfortable! Plenty of room for all of us. The screened in area off the garage just out the back door was absolutely perfect! Charcoal grill worked great! Many amenities. Kitchen, bathrooms very well stocked! Washer and dryer worked great (nice to come home with clean laundry). Close to our favorite beach in Bethany but not far from the other DE beaches and Ocean City! Only suggestion is to clean/replace the shower head in the upstairs bathroom, it sprayed all over, not in the pattern and there was poor water pressure. It really wasn't a big deal, but wanted to bring attention to it. Not bad if that was our only complaint!! Thank you for making your home soo inviting! We had a wonderful vacation :)

Love, Love, Love!

I can’t say enough good things about this property and the owners! We didn’t want to leave and would stay here again in a heartbeat. First, it’s super clean and beautifully renovated. It’s beautifully decorated and all the furniture and beds are super cozy and comfortable. It’s the perfect layout for a big family, with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the main level, and the same upstairs. The kitchen is well stocked for preparing meals if you want to eat in more than out. We loved the front porch as a beautiful quiet space to have our morning coffee or read our beach books. The owners have thought of everything, from extra staples in the pantry to tons of extra beach chairs, an umbrella, toys, and a beach wagon which came in handy. We enjoyed this house so much. It’s in the perfect location on a beautiful, quiet street. It’s about 3 blocks to the beach, which took us about 10-12 minutes to walk, and about the same to walk into town, which was perfect for our evening walks to get frozen custard at Kohrs. The owners were wonderful and quick to communicate. We would rent from them again without question. We highly recommend this property for the perfect quiet beach stay.

Perfect Location

We have been going to Bethany for years. This home was perfect for us. It’s super clean, and very comfy. Plus the location is awesome. The owners are easy to work with, and very kind. You can’t go wrong with this home.

Wonderful Family Vacation Home

We had a wonderful vacation at Laura's home. The house had plenty of space for our family of six to spread out, and even when my in-laws came for a few nights we still had plenty of room. We loved the outdoor shower with the kids (they loved that it has hot water!) and our youngest loved that the beach trolly comes down the street every 20/25 minutes. We usually walked to the beach, but sometimes took the trolley to a less crowded beach. The kitchen had every cooking dish or gadget we needed and more. We made a lot of memories this trip - thank you Laura for being a wonderful and receptive host.

Hidden Gem

The cottage itself is pristine. Everything we needed and cozy but not cramped. The front porch is a beautiful place to read, chat and relax. The location is ideal. Close to the beach, the town and a favorite daily stop, Difebos Market. The owners are pleasant and extremely responsive.

Bethany Beach was such a draw because of the proximity to home - Northern Virginia! It offers both simple living with walkable attractions as well as extensive biking and water sports. Bethany Beach has a small town feel with summer activities downtown, at the library, and family + friends gatherings.
