Ubicada en Mayview, la casa Norge Knoll de Brockmann tiene 3 habitaciones. 2 dormitorios arriba y la planta baja es una eficiencia independiente con 1 dormitorio, baño completo, cocina, sala, estufa de leña, placa base eléctrica también.
El piso de arriba tiene una chimenea de leña y calderas de agua caliente. Estamos constantemente actualizando nuestra casa a medida que el tiempo lo permite entre inquilinos. We had a great time and the owners were great to work with!

The house was located very close to everything. It was very warm and welcoming. We enjoyed our time hiking, skiing, and snowboarding which were just a short ride away. We also enjoyed the quaint mountain town of Blowing Rock. We would absolutely stay again and recommend it to others.

Nice but Dated

The home itself is nice, very dated and a weird layout. Steps to downstairs are very steep. The location is ok, its definitely more than two blocks, for a short cut to downtown you have to walk through the back yard and down more steep steps!

Great Home, Very Convenient to Downtown Blowing Rock

Loved the place! We rented this home at last minute (day before) and the homeowner was very quick to respond and give us all the information we needed. Very clean and comfortable home. You can tell that they are truly interested in their house guests' comfort and try to provide every amenity you could possibly need. Plenty of soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. The weather was great and our two grandkids loved playing outside in the yard. The location was also great. Very close to downtown Blowing Rock, within a couple of blocks walking distance. Also, a very nice restaurant located a short walk through the back yard and down some stairs to the street below, Bistro Roca, that we had lunch at on Easter Sunday. Delicious food! Thanks again, Jeanne, we truly enjoyed our weekend getaway at your home!

Convenient and cozy!

This was our second time at Norge Knoll, the first time being 2 years ago. The owners have done some wonderful updates in this time. We loved that there was plenty of seating in the living room and dining room. We had family staying in other parts of Blowing Rock and we could host easily. The location of the house is really what sets it apart. It is convenient to downtown and is walkable. The kitchen is well stocked and having a washer/dryer was a big help to us too! Only one area that needs improvement is the bed in the downstairs bedroom. Our family will definitely be back to this home!

Our family had a wonderful time in Blowing Rock, despite the bouts of rainy weather.

The house is warm and inviting, very clean, with all of the amenities we needed. The locations is perfectly located to downtown and all surrounding attractions. The owner was wonderful to work with and provided great information so that our stay was very enjoyable. It was a very memorable weekend.

So very comfortable and accommodating.

Jeanne has gone the extra mile to make this home comfortable and accommodating. She has thought of everything to make our stay more pleasant. Well equip kitchen which we utilized to the hilt, beds and bedding that made me fill like a queen, even firewood for the fireplace to make our evenings intimate and cozy. Thank you for making my time in your home so Pleasant and comfortable. I hope that you will allow me to stay in your home again in the future.

very comfortable stay in Blowing Rock

We were visiting extended family in Blowing Rock, and wanted somewhere for our family to sleep. Norge Knoll was just what we needed. The upstairs is perfect for ~4 people, and the downstairs can accommodate an additional 2. It's nice that the downstairs has a separate bath, kitchen and entrance if additional privacy is needed. The house is a short distance to Bass Lake, which is a wonderful place to run or walk, and easily walkable to the center of Blowing Rock. Highly recommended!

Quiet get away with five star accommodations

I visit Blowing Rock each year for the symphony by the lake. It is an opportunity to share something special with my Mom. This home was the icing on the cake. Though it does not have cooling, it is not needed. I can not imagine a better place to stay. Close to town and just a mile from Mose Cone entrance to the bass lake, a wonderful place to hike.

Wonderful & Peaceful!

The Norge Knoll was the perfect retreat for our family. It felt secluded while so close to town we could walk, not to mention hiking trails nearby! While temperatures were soaring in Raigh, we were perfectly comfortable at the Norge Knoll, even without out AC. Everything we needed was provided in the home, and we all found the beds very comfortable. The Norge Knoll will definitely be my first pick when we plan our next trip to Blowing Rock!

Easy accessibility within one of the most charming towns around.

Nice and comfortable home in one of the best neighborhoods in Blowing Rock. Charming and picturesque residential area. Only five minute walk to the center of the village. Literally walk through the back yard and across the street to Bistro Roca, a favorite gathering spot for locals and visitors year round. The self contained downstairs was great for the younger adults while the upstairs accomodating for the one and two-up generations (main floor, no steps.) Owner very prompt on returning emails. Price nicely competitive for area. Thanks for making this available!

Great location and a great property.

We stayed for Appalachian State University Graduation. The location was great. It kept us a little farther out from all of the graduation traffic of the weekend! Very comfortable home. Lovely neighborhood! Wish it had AC or an attic fan! We would have used it this weekend! It was hard to cool the kitchen down after cooking. Loved the property.

Comfortable House in Close Proximity to Everything

We enjoyed our two night stay in Brockman's Norge Knoll. The house is well equipped with everything you need, and Jeanne (owner) is so delightful to work with. I failed to notice the lack of air conditioning when I booked the house, but we honesty did not need it. The fresh air was awesome, and there is a unit in the room with the king size bed and fans elsewhere. We actually had a deer on the back lawn when we woke the first morning - a nice surprise! You could walk to everything from the house, but it would be a really steep climb back up to the house from downtown. However, the drive is short and easy. All in all, a wonderful stay!

Really nice!

Our brief stay at Norge Knoll was terrific. My wife and I, and our daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters were more than comfortable. Norge Knoll is spacious, well-located, and well-equipped.

This home was very comfortable and met all my needs.

I was worried about the fact that there was no air conditioner. It was 95 degrees when I left home. We opened the windows to enjoy the cool mountain air and was comfortable the rest of our stay. Should not have worried. We found the location to be perfect because it was close to all the things we wanted to see. We thank the owner for allowing us to use her lovely mountain house.

Great location - Older house.

We've been to Blowing Rock every summer for several years now. This was our first stay at The Norge Knoll. We really enjoyed the convenience of being within walking distance of downtown. Pros: Very good location - within easy walking distance of the park & downtown. Communication with owner was good. Very fast internet service. New appliances in the kitchen (although the water/ice in the fridge had not yet been hooked up and the dishwasher was not properly fastened/installed) Cons: The house could use a through cleaning. I had to sweep debris/spider webs, etc. out of the entryway upon arrival. The house smelled musty/closed up upon arrival. There is no whole house A/C. I missed this detail in the listing but the weather was cool enough during our stay that this was not an issue. There is very little comfortable furniture in the living room. At first we thought there was a very limited supply of towels & washcloths but we discovered that there were a number in the dryer which had not been emptied from the previous use. Likewise with the dishes in the kitchen. We found the dishwasher full of items from the previous use.

THis property is so convenient to the town of Blowing Rock. We found the home to be as described.

This home is comfortable and homey,as it is a second home. The kitchen was stocked well with dishes , pots and pans and paper products.There were enough sheets, towels and blankets. Having a full basement apartment downstairs was cozy and very helpful for family members getting along. We enjoyed walking to the Activities going on in town for the lighting of the Christmas tree etc. There was plenty of parking with the house. Gwen was easy to work with and attentive. We enjoyed our stay and will return again some day!

Brockmann's Norge Knoll is a short, beautiful walk from Main Street. We have rented it for four years and have had many wonderful guests. We also have a family of deer that graze in our backyard frequently at dawn and dusk!

The Town of Blowing Rock is requiring that our rental have a minimum stay of 28 days. If you are looking for a long-term (at least 28 days) rental, Norge Knoll is just what you are looking for!!
