Beautiful condo in the center of the action!

Gorgeous view of ocean and pool. Extensive pools are all available to you. Duke’s is right there for a drink or bite. Beach is nice and easily accessible. Everything was easy. Condo was very nice and very clean - one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in actually. I made some suggestions to the staff about missing utensils and outdoor seat cushions but generally very well appointed. Would be a great place for families with younger kids. Great lawn for playing catch or whatever. KBM Staff was all very pleasant.

Great for a multi-family reunion with kids!

Our stay was excellent! Highly recommend. It was clean, beds were very comfortable, views were amazing, and little touches were great, like washing machine tabs, beach gear, coffee, etc. The property itself was great, too! We have a toddler, and the kids' pool with a waterslide and splash pad was perfect! Duke's on the property made dinners easy, and the property has lots of BBQ grills and a little C store that came in handy. All in, we will definitely be back!

Amazing resort, incredible views and friendly staff

We had the best stay at Honua Kai! Our suite was clean and comfortable with incredible views. Loved watching the whales from our balcony. The pools were awesome and clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly. One of our toilets clogged mid-stay and they were very prompt to send someone to fix it. Love that the closet was stocked with beach chairs and boogie boards to take down to the beach, which was only a short walk. We would definitely stay here again!

Can't wait to go back

This is our 5th or 6th time staying at the Honua Kai. Each time we have booked through KBM. This time as with every other time everything was perfect, from the the booking process to the room. Thank you KBM and Honua Kai for another amazing vacation.

Very nicebut...

First class property but maintenance lagging: -Shower faucets broken in the master bathroom and also in the other ensuite bathroom. - Whole row of light burned under kitchen cabinets and also in the master bathroom. - Paint job overdue, specifically in the master bathroom: there is rust on the ceiling. - Buzzing noice in the master bedroom. - Can't read the indications on the gas ovens: they are worn out. - Outdoor furnitures' cushuons are dirty. Same price as a Ritz Carlton but Holiday Inn maintenance...

We had an overall great stay at Honua Kai. It was the perfect place for our large family to gather. We ended up renting three condos and it was perfect. If it weren't for some communication difficulties, I would've given this property 5 stars without a second thought. The condos are undergoing painting on the balconies that prevents you from using them. It honestly wasn't a big deal, we still had a great view. Some properties chose to put this in their listing, however this one did not notify us until after we booked. They did comp us a significant portion off of our nightly rate which I would give five stars for, but I would've appreciated the transparency up front. I also felt like a lot of my questions took repeated emails to get responses to. Each morning on my trip was spent trying to sort through the emails they'd sent and working with their outdated payment processor to try and pay for a simple rollaway bed. It's been over 2 weeks since our trip and I'm still not sure if the payment went through--I was told someone would look into the technical issues and get back to me during my trip, but I still haven't heard anything and hopefully I wasn't charged a late fee. Overall, the trip was great, but the one less star is for the amount of time I feel I had to spend during my trip on my email, trying to get questions answered/billing errors fixed. Their customer service was very kind and respectful, they just didn't always follow up when they said they would.

Decor was nice, view was fantastic, we got to check in early & the unit was spacious. Unit could have been cleaned & better maintained before our arrival. The rotating plate in the microwave did not work so our frozen food would be both burnt and still frozen. Most of the wheels were off the lower dishwasher basket & it wouldn't roll out properly, we did not realize what was wrong until our last night. There was a lack of food storage containers. The toilet paper holders mounted to the wall were all loose and wiggly. There was a hand held shower mount, to adjust the handheld up or down, but it was broken. I didnt see instructions on how to operate the sound system or to adjust the fans. Figured out the fans 2 or 3 days into our stay. Drapes looked like they needed a good cleaning. There was a hand print on our closet door and something smeared on the door facing of another bedroom. The wine fridge would beep nonstop at random times when in use. We had a problem with the plumbing but it was fixed in a timely manner and we didn't have any further problems. There was no vacuum, just brooms. The boogie boards should all be replaced as they were old and falling apart. One of the chairs was rusty as well. The unit came with a washer and dryer which was a feature that was necessary for our family’s 10 day stay bc we packed light. However, it was recommended to only put 2 or 3 articles of clothing in the wash as it was a non vented system. It took many cycles for the clothes to dry & it was very time consuming. It was unclear as to whether we had linen service or not. When we called for something the agents were accommodating but the Bell staff weren't helpful with knowing what amenities I was entitled too nor did the agent on the phone remind me that I could get more of anything I needed free of charge. The resort, in the Hokulani tower, didnt seem to be cleaned frequently. We would see the same debris on the floor for 2 or 3 days. Vacationers headed home would leave their left over sealed & unsealed food on a table near the elevator. Food would remain there for a couple of days, even perishables. Most disappointing was the noise above. You could hear the residents above dragging their chairs across the floor all day long. Most aggravating was at bedtime & early morning. The service, condition of appliances and amenities fell short in comparison to cost of this rental. I expected more and left feeling unsatisfied & disappointed.

Great homebase

We really enjoyed our first trip to Maui. The location of the property was perfect. The snorkeling in the beach next to our property was wonderful. We enjoyed the space, the cleanliness, and the views. We took full advantage of the beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and boogey boards. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

The condo was excellent. The condo was equipt with beach towels and extras (beach chairs umbrellas, etc). We were well informed regarding our stay and check in was a breeze. The free rental car was a great bonus!

Wonderful Stay

We loved our stay in this beautiful condo! If you have a family it’s perfect because of the great location, resort amenities, on-site services and the condo itself. The condo does have beach chairs, boogie boards and an umbrella which were nice too. We enjoyed watching the whales from our unit every day! The unit was an ideal distance from the elevator and had all oversized doors inside for those with mobility challenges which we had during our stay. We all LOVED the beds too, to the point where we wanted to look at the brand to get them for our own house! If you’re considering staying here I would go ahead and book, it was every bit as dreamy as the pictures!

Round Two for the Jones Fam breakaway at Honua Kai!

Overall, an amazing stay. We love the Honua Kai. Our family loves everything about the condo. The view from the lanai, access to the ocean, proximity to great opportunities to walk for miles, eat great food on the property (Dukes), sit poolside all day, body surf, snorkle, prepare all our meals in the comfort of a beautiful kitchen in a beautiful space, and rest peacefully in the wonderful spacious bedrooms. We cannot wait to come back!

Our family considers the Honua Kai our permanent Hawaiian vacation getaway spot forevermore! This is our second time here and we can't wait to come back in 2023. Our condo, our view, the kindness of all the staff, and how welcomed and at home we've felt has yet again been perfect. Just Perfect

This unit offers an ideal experience and view within a lovely oceanfront property in Kaanapali. The kitchen is top-notch, beds are very comfortable, and everything is well-apportioned. The resort is awesome, and being in this property entitles you to some owner perks, such as easy access to endless towels by any of the various pools. A fantastic home base to enjoy this beautiful part of Maui and everything Honua Kai has to offer.

View was spectacular with the Nana doors open felt like we were enjoying the beach while cooking , eating and relaxing. Staff was amazing , quick responses to any questions. Very clean , with nice amenities, close to beach.
