Great spot for family reunion!

Loved the location of this rental and provided us with everything we needed to stay comfortably with accommodations for two families of four to include infants and teenagers! Mike, the owner, was very attentive to our needs! We would definitely utilize this rental in the future!

Marine Mom's Annual Weekend

We are a group of military moms that get together to support each other and have some fun. We enjoyed having a gathering place with indoor and outdoor spaces. Our hosts were very attentive to our needs and had plenty of ideas for local things to do and places to visit. It is definitely a place to plan a return visit to.

The highlight of my Summer

Mike and Rene were fabulous property hosts. Very helpful, went out of there way to make our family vacation a success. Every thing you need is there and then some. A awesome place for family gathering. We will definitely return again.

Perfect Lake House

This property has everything you need for a perfect lake experience. The bedrooms are adorable and extremely comfortable. There was more than enough blankets and pillows and plenty of extra space. Mike is a wonderful host that is extremely helpful and accommodating. We would definitely book again in the future!

Loved my stay

This home was even better in person than on the site. The owner, Mike was always on the ball with communication. He made sure we had everything we needed and he felt like a long time friend. Chestnut Cove was so comfortable and peaceful. This was a short trip for us but I will definitely book here again! The only thing I would change is the length of my stay...it will be longer next time! I would give it more than 5 stars if possible!!

Enjoyed our stay. The house was everything that we needed. Very clean, well decorated

We loved this place. Mike and Renee are great people to rent from. They were very helpful on several occasions. There is "Jerry's Pub" within walking distance of the house. We were pleasently surprised by the basket of goodies waiting on us. We really appreciated the snacks. This house is very nice. It has three bedrooms, two up and one down. The beds were very comfortable and we really enjoyed having bathrooms on each floor. I really enjoyed the shower heads, they definitely got the job done. The surround sound in the front-room sounded great. The decor of the house very nicely done. The house was very clean and well taken care of. We really enjoyed our stay, in fact we are trying to figure out when we can go back.

Lovely wedding weekend

This house was a perfect gathering place for our whole family as we visited the Irish Hills area for a wedding. With a serene, lake-view setting, the cottage offered plenty of room for our group, which included our adult daughters, their partners and a dog, not only to join together for meals but also to spread out to relax. The home was clean and stocked with anything we could possibly need. Mike was a lovely and attentive host. We'd definitely stay here again.

Great stay

We had a get together of 5 friends. Mike was great with communication and the house was comfortable for a group of our size. The covered patio was a great place for us to hang out outside and the few minute walk to Jerry’s was great to have for a fun night or to grab some food when we didn’t feel like cooking. Would definitely recommend!

Nice House Close to the Lake

Nice well-maintained house. Property is very clean and well-stocked with everything you need. Very quiet and peaceful area. Owners are very responsive and very nice people. Although the house is not lakefront, you can see the lake from some rooms in the house and from the outside patio area. Less than a 5 minute walk to Jerry''s Pub and less than 15 minutes from Michigan International Speedway.

The house was in a beautiful location, with the lake being nearby. Outside seating and eating areas were plentiful and attractive. We enjoyed being on the covered tiki bar looking at the lake, both morning and evening. Mike and Renee couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful.

Great house and owners

A group of volunteers running a racing event for college students needed a place to crash and this place delivered. With the lake and Jerry's a stone's throw away there wasn't a single place we'd want to be after a long day at MIS.

Daughter’s college graduation

This place is perfect and you could not ask for better hosts. There wasn’t anything we needed that wasn’t there. The kitchen is truly fully stocked! Obviously, great pride is taken in giving guests an unbelievable experience. We came home a couple of nights after long days in Ann Arbor to find inviting campfires burning for us to enjoy. We will be returning when the weather is good to enjoy the lake.

Good for families - owners close

We spent a lovely family weekend getaway at this location. The house was comfy and well-stocked with kitchen utensils, condiments, puzzles, games, books, and more. Owners live across the street and made sure we had everything we needed.

Best place in the Irish Hills

Mike and Renee were kind, considerate, and communicative throughout our check-in process and stay. Not overwhelming just genuine and thoughtful. Property is so comfortable and an excellent location with a full restaurant and bar within a block’s distance. We enjoyed the outdoor space for games, drinks, and enjoying the covered outdoor tv space. Would definitely stay again!

Chestnut Grove

Owner was great, very gracious. Very accommodating. Place was better than expected and they actually set it up for the grandkids well. Right next to the lake. Overall, an excellent experience.

We are a married couple with 5 adult children. Our home is lakefront is across the street from Chestnut Cove. We purchased the property for the additional parking and detached two story garage. We use the home as a guest house for our extended family members but decided that allowing others to enjoy the peaceful lake community should be an option.
