The location was lovely and the facilities were mostly clean. We enjoyed our stay here. I agree with one of the reviews as the cleanliness of the place was not the best - but I think it is because it is a pet-friendly location. The dishwasher was unusable as there was mould inside which did not disappear even though we ran the machine. Oven looked like it has never been cleaned and the utensils are everywhere. Other than that - it was a great short getaway in a very spacious and aesthetic house.

Good space and great location- however not the ‘luxury’ as described in listing. House wasn’t very clean on arrival, bbq and spa were dirty and couldn’t use them, and the floors in house weren’t clean (we vacuumed on arrival). Dishwasher needs to be replaced. Aircon is only in the lounge room, upstairs bedroom couldn’t be cooled down on the hot nights as the ceiling fans don’t work. Carpet also needs replacing (its stained and dirty) and the fly screens fall out of windows. Fridges were pretty dirty. Basically has great potential but needs some serious work if you are going to describe this as a ‘luxury’ property !

The house is beautiful, and it’s in a great location. The house is really well equipped, it’s great for kids and our little dog enjoyed it too. Communication with our host Tim was excellent, he was really helpful and always responded quickly. We would love to stay here again.

The house is very large and in a great central location with lovely walks nearby. There's a ton of room and the facilities were great (spa, barbecue etc). A few things to note: the master bedroom is not enclosed, so sound travels up from downstairs — something to be aware of if you wanted to have a sleep-in or go to bed before other guests. Some of the mattresses needed updating. Overall the house wasn’t very clean, which was disappointing. A little dated and in need of an update, we’d describe it more as a fun homestead for families as opposed to a luxurious country retreat.

We had an amazing stay. We wanted a country getaway from our busy lifestyles and we got exactly that. The property was beautiful- the indoor fireplace was lovely and the whole place was so clean. Tim was a very good host, we really appreciated the extra touches of a bottle of wine and chocolates. The kids had a great time too, huge backyard and the walk to the falls was very easy,Think we might make it annual getaway with the family.Thanks Tim!

The house has so much space - it’s perfect for a big group. No one’s on top of each other. Beds were comfy Plus owner is so kind and made sure we had a relaxing and comfortable stay. Location is great too. There’s a playground on the street. And a small walk from Fitzroy falls Would add that if you have small kids - it’s a little sketchy walking on the main road with them - although it’s not for long. Anyway - house is great!

We had an absolutely fantastic weekend stay at this beautiful property. The house itself is amazing — spacious, stylish and perfect for our friends’ reunion. Everything was just as pictured and we had an incredible time.Tim, the host, was wonderful to deal with — great communication and very easy to chat with, which made the whole process seamless.As our stay happened to fall on a very cold weekend, the bedrooms at the back did get a little chilly — perhaps heated blankets or portable heaters could be a nice touch in the future.That said, this was only a minor suggestion — overall the property was wonderful, and we’ll definitely be back again (next time with my fur baby, as it looks very pet-friendly too!). Highly recommend!

Family Christmas in July

Timbalah was the perfect place for our family/ friends annual get together for a cold Christmas. The house was easy to find, street well sign posted and had enough parking for our 3 cars. Timbalah was very welcoming and the heating kicked in quickly as the area turned on cold torrential rain and mist for our 48 hour stay! Accessing the house was easy (tip - screen shot the instructions as signal in the area was terrible until we accessed the wifi!!) The dreadful weather didn’t dampen our fun. We had books, games, the snooker table, lots of food and wine and a fireplace. Perfect! We all slept well in our comfy warm beds. The bathrooms were huge, and we did enjoy a big bath. The well appointed kitchen and large oven was great for our Christmas roasts and vegetables….and no washing up with the dishwasher. The table was big enough for us all to gather around for all our meals. It was good to have wifi for our Netflix family movie post Christmas dinner. Tim, our host, was very responsive to our queries and generous- especially with the firewood. He gave us some good tourist advice on local walks and good cafes in Mossvale. Fitzroy Falls was spectacular with all the rain. We all loved our stay. Thankyou Tim!

Winter holiday

The house lived up to our expectations. A couple of items need fixing.The DVD player did not work.The 2 sandwich toasters were not clean as well as the ordinary toaster.The coffee making machine had used pods in it. Other than these items we were happy with all.

Jewel in Fitzroy Falls

Wow! My reaction when i walked into the door of the property. A large house with wide open spaces and plenty of space for an extended family stay. With a cottage at the rear of the property and spacious garden there was plenty of space for all. The garden attracts local birdlife and the property is located in a quiet area within walking distance distance of the waterfalls.

Wedding Weekend!

We celebrated our wedding at Mali Brae Farm, and a few of our closest family and friends had the pleasure of staying at Timbalah for the entire weekend. The location was perfect, just a short distance from the wedding venue.The house itself is spacious, with comfortable beds, and the BBQ was fantastic! The only minor drawback was the internet being down in the area, which resulted in limited service inside the house. Additionally, the property could benefit from a little TLC, but aside from that, everything was absolutely wonderful.Tim has been exceptional—extremely responsive and incredibly helpful both before and during our stay.

Tranquil break

Great location for getting away from the rat-race. Timbala is a very large property suitable for a party of 10 adults or up to 14 with children. The large kitchen, hot-tub and pool table were a hit.

Very disappointed.

The property is tired. No internet!We had no hot water in one bathroom, which left us with only 2 working showers.The kitchen utensils, pots and pans were filthy, therefore we needed to wash everything before use!!The kitchen floor was dirty and we needed to wash it with an old, dirty and very smelly mop.

Great getaway

This property is in a great location, easy to get to in the Southern Highlands. We were able to accommodate our whole family in the one location without being on top of each other. I think this will be a new trend for family get togethers on special occasions.

Christmas getaway

We had a fabulous time relaxing and celebrated Christmas in this beautiful property with our four adult children their partners, grandchildren and fur babies. The house has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Our only issue was we could not open some of the windows to ventilate the house. and the fridge in the cottage was not working properly, all minor things that can be rectified. Tim is a great host and answered all our questions promptly. He made us feel welcomed and even dropped in with a gift to wish us all a Merry Christmas. I would definitely stay here again.

The property was perfect for us. It was large airy and bright. The kitchen was well appointed with everything one could possible need. The beds were comfortable. The showers were great. My only criticism is that I felt the house could have been freshly cleaned before we arrived. Some surfaces were sticky and the pots and pans were not very well cleaned as well. But upon saying that property is very liveable and we will return in thefuture wasn’t

Nice property, great location, needs some TLC

Lovely location for the property, I hadn't realised how beautiful Fitzroy Falls was. The place itself is a nice house, great big open plan lounge room and a nice dining room and lounge area with TV and pool table leading onto the garden. The main downside was the cleanliness, while most of the main inside areas were pretty clean the outside - windows, porch area, screens were grubby and need a good clean. Also the bedrooms look tired, marked carpets and there appeared to be no heating in the bedrooms. Not a big issue in late spring but I wouldn't want to stay there in winter unless there's heating I didn't figure out.

Great for dogs

There was 12 of us, so we used the cottage too. The place was clean and the ameneties fine. We had a fantastic time and it felt spacious. Close work to the waterfall but a shame that the cafe there was closed. It was cold and although there is a fire (which was great) and a aircon I don't think I would stay here during winter. It was a very good stay overall only two small issues. We could not find a key to open a side door which made packing and unpacking a little more difficult and also could not find a swich to turn on the roof fans to move the heat from the fire around. It is not really a luxury place but you would not really expect that when they allow dogs.
