Este romántico retiro de vacaciones lleno de personajes con vistas a Patonga y Broken Bay es ideal para una pareja o una familia.

Brillante y fresco con chimenea, aire acondicionado nuevo, cocina completa, una amplia terraza para cenas al aire libre y hamacas incluidas para relajarse. Aislado, privado pero a solo 2 minutos a pie del recientemente renovado "The Boat House Hotel" y de la playa, un hermoso arroyo y el Parque Nacional con increíbles paseos en la puerta.

La casa tiene dos dormitorios separados; El dormitorio de la reina con vistas al agua. El segundo dormitorio con 2 camas individuales o se puede hacer como una cama king.

Cuarto de baño con bañera / ducha y retrete, más abajo segundo inodoro, ducha y lavadero completo. aparcamiento en el terreno de arriba para 1 coche.

Barbacoa. Trae tus cañas de pescar, kayaks y un buen libro para escapar.

The location was perfect - excellent view of the ocean, 2 minute walk to the beach and overall perfectly situated amongst the trees and natural wildlife. The property and view were gorgeous. Very relaxing!!! The fire was terrific and kindling was provided. One small gripe was the mattress in the double bed room left both our backs sore - it feels it needs replacing. Was a really pleasant experience and we’d stay here again! Jan was very easy to communicate with.

Relaxed cottage with water views

Such a beautiful location, short walk to the beach and national park and the Patonga Boathouse. The cottage is stylishly and thoughtfully furnished, with everything that we needed for our stay. The covered outdoor area was great for relaxing, particularly in the hammocks!

Loved it (again)!

This was our second visit and it didn't disappoint - the house is welcoming, clean, bright and cosy, and the deck is just perfect in all weathers. It was SO relaxing. We can't wait to visit again.

Fabulous stay

We are returning guests who always look forward to time here. Beautiful view, cosy fire, comfy beds, walking distance to pub (a bit tricky when rainy/muddy). Great communication as always. Clean and well equipped so you can make yourself at home.

Gorgeous cottage and views

This was our third visit at Hillside Retreat, and we can't wait to come back again. The cottage is cosy, clean, well equipped and welcoming, with comfy beds. We adore spending time on the deck, rain or shine, looking at the view and watching nature, and the cottage is so well located. Every time we visit we feel refreshed and restored by it. Laid back weekend vibes

Compact interior with expansive, enjoyable outdoor living. This property offered all that our family needed for a relaxing weekend away. Plenty of kitchen equipment and the open-up breakfast bar was a joy. The woodfire in winter was a treat. Be ready for stair runs with bags on entry and exit and you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent Bed!

Patonga is a great little spot. The Cottage was very comfortable, with the bed being excellent. So much of a stays' enjoyment depends on good sleep. However, parking is a bit dodgy, you may need assistance to get into the shower, and the overall access to the property needs serious attention. In totality, a winner if you can get in and out of the place. :)

Wish we were still there

What a gorgeous house - perfect for a relaxing break. We felt so welcome and comfortable in this beautifully presented cottage. It was clean and had everything we needed, and the short walk to the beach and village was ideal. Of course that amazing balcony was what makes it so special - perfect in rain or sunshine. We just loved spending time there watching nature. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back some time. Thank you Jan for your prompt and friendly communications - much appreciated.

Gorgeous house and view

We had a wonderful time. Four artist friends, who drew the landscape from the beautiful large covered balcony when it poured with rain for the whole day. We were warm, because of the effective aircon, and enjoyed the open fire at night. The beds were comfortable and warm too. The house was immaculately clean and everything was there that we needed. The only problem we felt was the entrance.. a steep walk up stairs to the front of the house (or down from behind house, with uneven slippery rocky steps) and a walk through muddy, sloped, somewhat risky terrain of around 17 metres to the front rocky path to house. Potentially very tricky for people with knee, hip or balance issues. We’d recommend a safe pathway put in through that section. And a small sign at the base of steps indicating the entrance to the property. Once in the house it was bliss.. and we recommend this beautiful abode to anyone with good knees and balance!

Perfect summer escape

This little cottage has such a lovely old world holiday feel. Check in was easy Jan was super helpful and easy to communicate with. The place was very clean and the kitchen is really well equipped with everything you might need. The covered deck is huge and you can spend hours in the hammock reading a book listening to the ocean lap on the sands down the hill. Perfect summer escape.

Great views from the deck

We enjoyed our stay at this home in Patonga. This was one of the best equipped holiday houses I've been to, making it a much easier stay. The deck was fabulous and we enjoyed our time there. The kids didn't leave the hammocks. As noted by others the house is not easily accessible, steep stairs to the front and rear. It would not be suitable for those with accessibility issues and might be a pain for those w small children.

Four day stay at Patonga

Nice , beachy cottage for a max of 4 people ( 2 x bedrooms ). It has everything we could want . And a very good air conditioner . Some suggestions : - some handles in the bath to assist getting in and out of the sunken bath - An inclinator from the road above would encourage the elderly to rent this property . Steps from street above and street below are not easy for older people . Clive Cutler
