Murphys Ranch es una acogedora y sumamente cómoda casa estilo rancho con impresionantes vistas de las Sierras, grandes espacios al aire libre y una piscina. Con tres habitaciones, tres baños completos y una cama adicional, puede alojar cómodamente hasta ocho personas.

La sala de estar y el comedor tienen techos abovedados y puertas corredizas que conducen a una magnífica terraza y piscina al aire libre. También hay una sala adicional para jugar o leer un libro. La cocina recientemente renovada tiene mucho espacio de almacenaje, espacio en el mostrador y espacio para extenderse, está bien surtida con ollas, sartenes y utensilios, por lo que es muy fácil hacer las comidas. La mesa del comedor tiene capacidad para 8 personas.

El garaje tendrá capacidad para tres coches grandes, por lo que descargar todos los artículos de los mercados locales es fácil.

En las mañanas nos gusta pasear por la Manzana Roja están en la parte inferior de la calzada y recoger rosquillas y pasteles de manzana fresca, recién salido del horno todos los días, pero es sólo un 5 minutos en coche del centro de Murphys para el almuerzo o la cena.

En el verano, nos relajamos junto a la piscina o aprovechamos los lagos locales y los hoyos de natación, las canchas de tenis y el golf. En el otoño nos encanta probar todos los vinos recién liberados de los productores locales. En el invierno nos dirigimos hasta 30 millas al valle del oso para el esquí alpino, aunque oímos a través del país también es maravillosa por aquí - sólo preferimos subir las colinas en un elevador :).

Nos gusta explorar la cercana pueblos, hay tanta historia maravillosa! Hay una vibrante escena musical y es probable que sea capaz de coger un concierto en el caballo de hierro Bodega durante su visita en verano.

We had a wonderful stay as always, it seems to me that the layout of the property enhances family connection: The pool and outdoor spaces is a dream with the view, and the inside spaces allow for some rest and play. Kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfy and tv station is excellent. Don’t miss Mercer caverns (and red apple obv.) if you have a chance to go! Only observation is that there is an outside couch that could use a refresh. Thanks for having us, we’ll certainly be back!

Great pool, tucked away from the highway, but perfectly situated to promise excellent views. Red Apple Stand is a MUST. Oh, and the kitchen was very well stocked. Hosts were accommodating to a special request, something I have never done, but it was essential to our stay. Thanks again!!!

Perfect Location

This view! This location! It's amazing. Woke every morning to deer and hot cider donuts from down the street. The house is so well stocked and comfortable. We were here in winter and would love to see it in the summer. So relaxing. We loved it.

Murphys Private Retreat

Great place to get away

A classic ranch home with outstanding upgraded outdoor area. The pool was a welcome amenity as the weekend we stayed was over 100 degrees each day. Close to downtown Murphys for a fun day in town eating, wine tasting and exploring. Helena was a great host and very communicative. The house can get warm, so plan accordingly and keep those fans going and enjoy the pool.

Quiet and Peaceful Getaway

My family and I had a fantastic time in this home! The views are spectacular, and the house is comfortable and cozy. Everything was super clean, the kitchen and bathrooms were spotless, and the bed linens and towels were also clean, soft, and comfy. We spent most of our time in the kitchen/dining area cooking or playing games or on the deck around the fire pit, enjoying the fresh air. Although we would 100% recommend this house to anyone and would rent it again, there are a few things I feel I should mention. First, there is no AC, and it gets pretty warm in the house, we tried opening all of the windows, and the ceiling fans helped, but the smaller room where the kids slept was uncomfortably warm. Also, the water pressure in the bathroom in the hall was awful, and the water was a tiny trickle, making it almost impossible to rinse out long hair. One of the things we noticed right away was that many of the door knobs around the house were loose and or broken. For example, none of the bathroom doors lock, so beware of that and make sure you knock. Finally, the pool is not heated, which was a damper for everyone, especially the kids. We rented this house primarily for the pool, and although we were able to enjoy it a few times, the rest of the time, it was simply too cold. However, as I mentioned before, our overall stay was great, and we would 100% recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautiful and quiet place to get away. The views from the backyard and deck alone are worth it. It was the quiet and peaceful getaway we all needed.

Beautiful View

It’s a nice place to stay. Beautiful view and relaxing. Wished the hot tub was available. Didn’t realize the third bathroom was at the other end of the home. The mattresses could be more comfy. It will also be nice when the road leading up to the house will be paved. Don’t get me wrong…a great place to stay! Very clean!

Peaceful lovely stay w/beautiful views!

When we were unable to book a hotel in downtown Murphy's, we looked into securing a VRBO and much to our delight found this beautiful property in Forest Meadows - just a short drive to town. The house was immaculate and equipped with everything you could ever use or want! The pool was sparkling and there were numerous umbrellas for shade. We prepared breakfast two mornings and sat outside sipping our coffee on the deck and taking in the gorgeous sunrise. We also sat around the fire pit at night and enjoyed the spectacular star filled nights. It was a girls trip and couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you, Helena. Loved your home and will be back!!!

All about the outdoor living

Gorgeous outdoor space - we spent nearly all our time on the deck and in the pool. The indoors is expansive and there’s plenty of room, but it’s pretty dated and the beds aren’t comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking in. Definitely the star of the show is the outdoor space (and the apple cider donuts down the road). Easy access to Arnold and Murphys, and totally, gloriously private.

Beautiful and Private

This is a great vacation home. Spacious, clean, well equipped kitchen, gorgeous deck and swimming pool. The view is stunning. It was very hot while we were there, in the 90’s, and it was fun to sit outside after dark and watch the moon rise over the hills below. The pool is wonderful and we spent a lot of time swimming. The surrounding deck has lovely chaise lounges and umbrellas. Checkin and out was easy, and Helena is very responsive and helpful. Great TV system, although it took a savvy 13 year old to figure it out. We had a wonderful time.

Amazing property and great host!

The property is absolutely amazing. Very private and peaceful. The layout of the home is great for families or a group of friends with privacy for everyone. Fully stocked, real kitchen (tools, etc). The host is wonderful - friendly and flexible.

Gorgeous View and Privacy

We had a super relaxing stay! The beautiful view, expansive deck, being surrounded by nature with a complete lack of neighbors (this seems to be the only house on this large hill) make this an automatic 5-star for us. It was a lovely and easy workout strolling down the private roadway to fetch morning pastries at the apple stand (good to burn a few of those calories on the short hike up!) The house was very clean, and had a completely vintage 70’s-meets-50’s-ranch house vibe. Couches were comfortable; master bed is firm. Helena is a thoughtful and responsive host. Would love to return in warm weather to use that pool with a view!

Lovely stay, just know...

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The home is perfectly 70s vibe (but modern accommodations) and the property is so beautiful. It's secluded but not far from the Main Street. Like others, we loved the apple donuts at the bakery down the road. The only thing I didn't realize was that even though pictured, the hot tub is not for guest use. Like the owner says, it's not listed under accommodations in the listing but the photos are a bit misleading. Even though the days were 80 degrees, the pool was very cold (the kids and I wore our wet suits!) but it's a lovely pool and the deck is so nice to sit out on and drink your morning coffee. The only other thing to note is that there is a video doorbell (brand: Ring). I didn't see notice on the listing that there was a camera doorbell (per VRBO's requirements). So, maybe reach out on your own to the owners if that makes you uncomfortable like it did us. Overall, such a lovely place!
