Tres dormitorios y tres baños hacen de este un lugar ideal para una escapada familiar. Beautiful, renovated condo

We have stayed in dozens of gentle winds condos over the years and this one was the most well equipped-from the sharp knives and great pans to ample TP, paper towels and laundry soap. We will definitely stay here again!

Great getaway!

This place was all we could have wanted. Stayed here with our 5 adult kids and we had plenty of room! We loved the balconies for star gazing at night and coffee drinking in the morning. The condo was equipped with everything we needed to be comfortable and more! We cooked a few meals here easily, played games, and borrowed some snorkel gear when our broke. The pool and beach were great with the awesome bonus of the snack shack!We loved everything about the property and would highly recommend!

Best Vacation

We absolutely loved our time spent in this condo at gentle winds. The beds were all very comfortable and had AC in the bedrooms. The balcony had outside seating space with a beautiful view and a nice ocean breeze! Everything was super updated just like the pictures. Nancy was responsive and extremely kind. We were sad to leave!

Gentle Winds Condo Community

Gentle Winds condo community is a beautiful, secluded oasis. Great pool beach, beach "shack" restaurant and lovely beach access.

Excellent Stay! Would absolutely recommend

This unit was nicely updated and very comfortable. The amenities were great. Nice pool and snack bar that served drinks and great food from 12-4:30. We will hopefully stay here again in the future!

This condo was super nice and the complex has an amazing pool, snack shack, and beach. The food and drinks were really good and very convenient to have right there on the property. We will definitely return!!

Super friendly homeowner. Beautiful pool and beachfront. Great snack shack. Kids enjoyed shuffleboard. Complex is clean, quiet & safe for kids to roam a bit. Condo is spacious, clean, and has all you need! Lovely central location to explore island. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful townhome and location

Our family had a great week at Gentle Winds in the last week of June 2022. The townhome was recently upgraded and included very nice furniture and amenities. The large island was great for everyone to be around eating and/or playing games. The Gentle Winds property could not be a better place to have a fun / relaxing family vacation. The facilities are great, the pool was right by the beach and there was also a fantastic patio bar / restaurant that served delicious food and pool drinks every afternoon.

Thanksgiving Vacation

From the moment we walked into Nancy’s condo we knew our vacation would be super. This is our sixth time renting at Gentle Winds and the first time renting from Nancy. Hers is by far the best we have experienced. Large bright kitchen with a huge island, new appliances, and all the amenities you would need. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, tiled bathrooms, air conditioned bedrooms, ceiling fans, etc. Nancy’s communication with us prior to our arrival was detailed and informative- we had everything we needed to know and also knew that she was available if we needed anything once we had arrived. She was a great host !

A gem!

This property is a gem. From the location, to the furnishings, to the community, pool/swimming area/snorkeling, beach shack, bar, and grill, and working with Nancy – the best VRBO experience I’ve ever had. This property has it all plus more than you ever thought you needed or wanted. Don’t hesitate to book this one.

Beautiful and Peaceful

Gentle Winds has been our favorite place to stay for many years. We love having the beach and pool practically to ourselves and the snack shack tops it off with delicious lunches and drinks as the perfect spot for our family. This condo was recently remodeled and very nice! Plenty of comfortable beds for sleeping and everything else you may need. Nice ocean front tiki huts to stay out of the sun while enjoying the beach. There is also corn hole, ping pong, shuffleboard, tennis, golf, a children's hidden pirate area and so much more available at this hidden gem of a place.

Great Condo in Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean unit with great views of the pool and sea. The kitchen was great...we actually enjoyed cooking with a breeze and sea views! The 3 bed/3 baths were perfect for our family of 5. Please note that the air conditioning is in the bedrooms only; the winds were actually low most days we were there so it could get a little warm during the day and we were glad the loft bed wasn't needed. I understand from neighbors that the winds are usually stronger so cross breezes through the condo would typically be better, but it was definitely manageable. Nancy is a great host. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Croix Boy

Property is an obvious rental property. Furnishings were comfortable, but unlike other Gentle Winds condos we have rented, the living areaes were not air conditioned, only the bedrooms. Ceiling fans and an oscillating stand up fan were provided for air comfort in the living area. While the property was maintained and contained sporting and snorkel accessories, the exterior door was not flush and a significant number of cobwebs were outside the screen off the living room lanai. I would rent it again, but would also check other Gentle Winds options as well. We left a day early (Friday instead of Saturday), Stripped the sheets and washed the towels before leaving. We also discarded in the dumpster all food we had bought. I trust we will be found as good renters.

Perfect in MANY Ways

1st time to St Croix and we made a great choice staying with Nancy! The condo was in a lovely location with home and community amenities that made our stay terrific. There was enough space for everyone to be alone or gather/play games in the common areas of the condo. The kitchen and baths were well appointed and everything was clean. It was also great having 3 private baths to match the 3 bedrooms. Queen bed upstairs was VERY comfortable for me. The teens loved the rec area with pingpong & shuffleboard. The beach was wonderul and packed with wildlife, plus coral gardens just beyond the ropes. The pool was clean and never crowded, same goes for the beach, plus snack and beverage shack. The decks were perfect for star gazing! Would definitely rent here again. Nancy was VERY responsive, quick and helpful, very much appreciated.

Third stay at Gentle Winds

Gentle Winds is a peaceful cluster of low rise condos with a decent beach & pool in a nice area of St. Croix. This was our first time at unit L4. The positives were: excellent view, good access to beach & updated main floor. On the negative side, the unit below us was being refurbished & we had to suffer through 2 days of jackhammer work. Only the bedrooms are airconditioned, & it really needs central air. The top floor needs refurbishing & the spiral staircase is very narrow - making it virtually impossible to lug suitcases to the master bedroom. There were also a few minor problems like the front door being swollen to the point where it is extremely hard to open or close, but overall the unit is decent. The "beach shack" serves great lunches & Gentle Winds has recently added pickleball lines to one of the tennis courts. Ping pong, shuffle board & corn hole games are also available.

Terrible

I received quick responses leading up to my trip to St. Crioux from the property owner. After arriving to the condo and reaching out to share my disappointment of the property, I never heard back from the property manager/owner. Upon our families arrival, it was brought to our attention by the cleaning service that our unit in all the common areas, i.e., living space, kitchen, sitting area, etc. did not have A/C. She expressed this is a common occurrence when guests arrive - guests aren't aware of the entire condo not having A/C and that we should ask more questions.... She then began apologizing.... Wall units were in the three bedrooms, again, the quality of the unit was not pleasing. The refrigerator had alot of rust on the outside of the doors, the walls around the A/C units in the bedrooms had rust, some areas of the walls had falling off sheetrock - the shower faucets had alot of rust in two of the bathrooms... The beach on the property was very rocky, so my family and I didn't enjoy the beach - we did enjoy the pool area (I could've swam in a pool at my residence, so this wasn't worth the trip to St. Crouix). I felt somewhat safe on the property, however, didn't feel safe anywhere else. Our family found the people in the restaurants were very rude - the Beach Shack on the Gentle Winds property served decent food, however the service was terrible - very rude.... as if they hated the job and were miserable. Our family was shocked most of the stay and couldn't wait to return back to our home. Maybe if we were at a different property, we would've had a better experience.

Amazing stay at a wonderful property

Just spent 10 amazing days in St. Croix at the amazing Gentle Winds Condos. We stayed in unit L4 and it was wonderful. The unit was recently redone and the finishes are amazing. The unit is very comfortable and it has great space for a large family. The beds are very comfortable. There were plenty of towels for showering as well as plenty of towels for the beach. The unit has several games to play with a family and the internet and cell service in this unit was amazing. The beach and pool area is better than I have experienced at the luxury hotels. This is a very low key complex which is exactly what we were looking for. The views of the ocean and the stars cannot be beat. The beach shack for food was closed due to "low-season" in August, but it looks amazing. We will be back. Do not hesitate to stay here, you will not be sorry. We loved it.

Our family has owned our delightful Gentle Winds condo since the early 70s. Our children and grandchildren have grown up enjoying winter vacations here and still anxiously await an annual trip. They've obtained their scuba licenses here and some of them continue to hone their golfing and tennis skills while visiting our beloved island.
