Vientos suaves, St. Croix, U. S.V. I. - ven a relajarte!

Nuestro condominio está ubicado en Gentle Winds, un desarrollo de 65 unidades ubicado en la costa norte de St. Croix Gentle Winds está construido en 66 acres de propiedad frente al mar con espectaculares vistas desde todas las unidades. El popular lugar de buceo llamado West Wall se encuentra justo al lado de la playa, donde se pueden ver dos botes de buceo anclados para que sus invitados disfruten de sus inmersiones a media mañana o media tarde. Estamos a 5 minutos a pie, a menos de 1/4 de milla, del puerto deportivo de Salt River.

La playa tiene una hermosa playa de arena con palmeras y muchas tumbonas para tomar el sol o debajo de una cabaña bordeada de palmeras para un poco de sombra. Hay una sección acordonada para nadar: tome su máscara y snorkel para descubrir algunos coloridos peces de coral locales.

The Beach Shack sirve una deliciosa hamburguesa y ensalada de lentejas que recomiendo mientras disfruta de su bebida de ron o cerveza fría helada. ((Después del huracán María, noviembre de 2017, la cabaña de la playa está en reconstrucción, pero todo lo demás en la propiedad es más nuevo y mejor que el estado anterior al huracán))

Si desea realizar alguna actividad en la propiedad antes de relajarse al lado del océano, pruebe un juego de tenis, una (corta) ronda de golf, ping pong o Shuffleboard. ¡O vaya a la ciudad para competir con una de las razas de cangrejo locales para ganar premios!

Esta propiedad está bien mantenida: vea si puede encontrar al hombre que arregla las palmas de coco y amablemente pregunte si sacaría su machete para servir un poco de leche de coco fresca y fresca. ((Es bueno ofrecer una propina por sus problemas ...))

Gentle Winds is the best place on the island for families. We were returning guests to the complex, first time to this particular unit. Everything was great! We especially enjoyed the view of the pool and the ocean.

Could Not Have Gone Better

We don't know whether late August was off season or the week after Ernesto kept people away but we had the place to ourselves. Nice pool, bar/lunch shack, empty beach and a clean condo - all was wonderful. Scuba dived and snorkeled the entire week. We stayed a few nights at the Carambola resort but the condo was much cleaner and more relaxing. Highly recommend!

Great family vacation

The owner of this property was so helpful and made great recommendations for places to eat, things to do and places to visit! Our family of 7 had plenty of room in this condo and we loved the pool and beach and on site food shack. St. Croix has some of the prettiest water we have ever seen.

Betty Boop’s 65th

The amenities were awesome. Our only complaints are only observations FYI. The microwave handle was broken BEFORE we arrived, but it did not affect the function of said microwave. The key to the deadbolt lock did not work, but we felt very safe and welcomed. Lisa, at the beach snack shack makes a mean Shrimp Quesadilla. The grounds keeper was kind enough to educate me on bird calls (Blue Pigeon) and what a hibiscus looks like BEFORE it flowers. Our group had a super terrific time cooking meals on the stove after purchasing items from the conveniently located super market. Pothole are in abundance OUTSIDE of the confines of Gentle Winds. I pray that the citizens can rally to get the issue addressed. Gentle Winds gets a 5 of 5 rating from the “Betty Boop” group❣️

3rd time at Gentle Winds

Our stay was wonderful! The condo was super clean and we loved all the amenities. We enjoyed playing the games there and reading some good books. Our deck had a beautiful view of the pool. Both our owner and the manager were very communicative and helpful. The air conditioning was top notch. Thanks for having us!

Return Visit

We so enjoy Pam's condo...maybe except for the winding staircase. The entry to Gentle Winds is beautiful. The location seems to work well for everything we like to do. Roads are just awful and have to be an observant driver, but we handled that all very well. The Condo has 3 new and great bathrooms. The House manager is amazing and very thoughtful. I could only suggest she may drop in the second week of a visit for a quick floor clean up.....sand seems to accumulate everyday on the white floors. Hard to keep up while on vacation. We love this place and and have been there several times and plan to go back again. Lots of people there this time, but very quiet and pleasant around us.All and all a great experience that I would highyrecommend.

Great condo

The condo is great overall! Great location, Pam was so easy to work with and answered all my questions promptly. The condo well appointed, clean, comfortable. The only thing that was not great was that the two downstairs bedrooms did not get very cool at night even with the ac on. Glad we had the fans in our room. The main areas and upstairs had no issue but those two bedrooms got very warm!

It was a perfect week at Gentle Winds in St. Croix

Everything about our trip to St. Croix was amazing from start to finish. Pam was the perfect host during our first family trip to the Caribbean. The condo and property were exactly as shown in the listing and had everything we needed for our stay..including beach towels, beach bags, and a few other items that we did not bring. Pam provided suggestions for everything from restaurants to activities while on the island. We loved having the Beach Shack on the property so that we could enjoy lunch, dinner and cocktails without leaving the beautiful beach. All in all, it was a great week and Pam was a wonderful, responsive host. We will definitely be back!!

Gentle Winds never disappoints. This condo is great!

This was our 2nd trip to St Croix, and our 2nd trip to Gentle winds. We have been to many islands in the Carribean and we are impressed with this one. Gentle winds was the first place we ever stayed here and we have now stayed here twice, that is as high a compliment as I can give it! Pam and Jamie's condo is great and worked well for our family of six with the youngest being 13 and the oldest being 54. They communicate well and quickly. You'll be happy here.

50th Birthday Vacation

So the good before a couple little works in progress. The property is absolutely beautiful. The pool area with the cabana is amazing. The beach areas also amazing the water there is very rocky so not the best beach to swim at but still very awesome one. The home is beautiful on the inside a little dated in the downstairs bathrooms. The faucets definitely need an upgrade because it’s hard to get the hot and cold water just right where you don’t burn yourself. We had a little air condition trouble for three of the days we stayed, but our amazing host did refund some of the money which we greatly appreciate because she could not control that other than this this is an absolute must stay if I could’ve bought the property I would’ve that’s how much we loved it. The island is absolutely beautiful. We try to new beach every day one day, we’ll definitely return to this amazing venue in the island.

great view, amenities at Gentle Winds

The condo was comfortable and has incredible views. Love the screen porch! It was really nice to have sunscreen and beach towels provided. The pool is very nice and we loved there are chairs with tiki hut umbrellas on the beach so we could relax in comfort in the shade. And the food at the snack bar was great - highly recommend the coconut shrimp, ahi tuna tacos and hot dogs!

Beautiful place to stay.

Beautiful property with a great pool and access to a very nice beach. The beach does slope so made it a little harder for my daughter to play, but she enjoyed it just the same. The property itself was well maintained with people out early each morning cleaning everything. The ice maker and washer/dryer were not available during our stay but the owner made everything right with options that worked well. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful condo by the ocean. It was a wonderful experience. Just make sure folks know to book rental cars more than 3 months in advance. That was the only issue but had nothing to do with the wonderful stay and the hospitality of the community. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

Great condo for relaxing island vacation

This is our 3rd stay at the property and were so happy to come back. The place is stocked with all the essentials, the property manager is very friendly and welcoming on our arrival. Love that the pool and beach is a quick little walk away. Gentle awinds is simply lovely.

Amazing Place! Highly recommend!

This condo was incredible! It’s exactly what everyone wants when you go to the Caribbean! It has an amazing screen porch to watch the ocean and had 2 different upper decks for relaxing! It is only a few steps away on the private estate to the beach and pool. The beach has great chairs and has great snorkeling! The pool is big and super clean and you watch the palm trees around you sway! Also, the condo came with everything you could want. A huge ice machine, was very crucial, blender, tons of cups and plates and plenty of space to play games with your friends! Also, it’s soooo close to the best restaurants like Ama, The Landing, and Flyers! Also, super close to the downtown Christiansted. Honestly, you could hang at this estate the entire time with a spouse or friends and have the best time. It’s very safe and there are grills you can grill out right next to the ocean that is provided by the HOA. We can’t wait to come back in the future!

Gentle Winds A+

First visit to St. Croix did not disappoint! My party/family consisted of my wife and I and 4 kids (aged 21-11). Condo had plenty of room we never felt cramped at all. 3 balconies total (2 facing beach, one off master one off TV/Living room) very good views all around! Gentle Winds is very conveniently located 15-20 min from AP. Condo is 2nd level (about 7-10 steps straight up to entry from very close parking). Kitchen very well stocked with cookware, utensils, glasses etc.... WiFi is good and TV is adequate. Plenty of beach towels and toys rackets etc.... Was very clean and tidy upon arrival. Fixtures and furniture are a bit dated but everything functions and feels good. Pool is nice and very conveniently located (about 2 min walk from L2 and steps from the beach). There is a mini bar/snack shack at the pool that operates during the season (Oct-Apr). The Landing (restaurant/bar/dive shop) was a good spot located about 10 min away. I highly recommend Ama for a date night located 10 min away very close to the Landing. Very friendly staff. Gentle Winds gives you a feel of seclusion but in reality everything you need is within 5-10 min drive. I would absolutely bring my family back here again. Comfortable Stay with Beautiful Views

We had a group of 8 and found the property very accommodating and comfortable. Although the place could definitely use some updating/repair from age and wear and tear, everything was in working condition, it was comfortable and conveniently located. We really enjoyed the property’s amenities. We were a little bummed that the beach wasn’t really swimmable due to coral, but we definitely enjoyed the pool and the bar. Really great property!

Wonderful townhome and location

Our family had a great week at Gentle Winds in the last week of June 2022. The townhome was well stocked with just about anything you could need on vacation... board games, towels, beer coozies, etc. The Gentle Winds property could not be a better place to have a fun / relaxing family vacation. The facilities are great, the pool was right by the beach and there was also a fantastic patio bar / restaurant that served delicious food and pool drinks every afternoon.

My husband has been traveling with his family to St. Croix for 30+ years. We purchased this condo from his parents in January 2015. It had not previously been in the rental market - only owner occupied. We intend to rent for about half of the year and enjoy it for ourselves for the remaining time frame.

We love the Virgin Islands and the gorgeous blue waters of the Caribbean. There are so many water activities to enjoy: world class diving spots / snorkeling at Buck Island ( a National Underwater Park) / sailing / fishing .. all activities that we find relaxing... and it is a direct flight from Atlanta with only a 3.5 hour flying time.

We like telling our guests to check out these activites while they are 'on island' : take one of two Rum tours at Cruzan Rum and/or Captain Morgan; see the Beer Drinking pig; drive through the the Rain forest; take an Eco tour; enjoy a tour of the 2 beautifully historic port towns: Christiansted and Frederiksted; Explore Buck Island National Reef by sailing, motor boat, and snorkeling excursions.(( Pam rates this as awesome! Book w/ Captain Heinz ; Kayak through Salt River Ecological Preserve. Pam recommends the Moonlight bioluminescent tour !! ; Take the kids horseback riding in the tropical rain forest ; Get a bird's eye view of beautiful St. Croix with a flight-seeing tour ; Beaches, Beaches, Beaches; sail on Roseway if she is in port ( a national historic landmark schooner)
