Muy bien diseñado, apartamento en el segundo piso con techos altos, ubicado en un hermoso edificio del Banco del siglo XIX de la época victoriana, con vistas a un parque y al histórico Smithfield Market. El apartamento tiene un salón luminoso con mucha luz, un área de cocina, un dormitorio doble y un baño con ducha.

La ubicación también cuenta con la fantástica cultura de restaurantes y cafés de Smithfield y Clerkenwell en sus puertas con bares tradicionales, restaurantes con estrellas Michelin, muchas cafeterías y excelentes opciones para cenas familiares o para cenar tarde por la noche. Es un lugar perfecto para disfrutar de Londres, con todos los monumentos famosos muy cerca. El Museo de Londres y las murallas romanas originales están a 4 minutos a pie, St. Catedral de Pauls a solo 600 metros. Un corto paseo más allá lo lleva a través del puente Millennium sobre el Támesis hasta el Tate Modern Museum y atracciones cerca de London Bridge y Tower Bridge.

The apartment was perfect for my daughter and me, and its location near the Farringdon and Barbican tube stops was ideal. It’s a few floors upstairs from a pub, but it’s actually quiet in the apartment due to extra panes of glass that have been installed on the windows. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby, and grocery stores a short walk away. I will 100% stay here again.

The location is very convenient, walkable from both the Farringdon and Barbican tube stations. The Elizabeth line from Heathrow stops at Farringdon. The neighbourhood felt safe. There is a small lift, big enough for 1 person with suitcases or 3 light people without. The flat itself is very cute and nicely appointed. The bedroom has a double bed with comfy mattress and bedding, three small drawers and a closet with good storage. The kitchen/lounge area has two day beds with decent mattresses and comfy bedding. One can be pulled out into a double bed. The kitchen has a small fridge, microwave, kettle, Nespresso machine, dishwasher and range, with plenty of dishes etc. There was no coffee but there was tea, sugar and sp. Toilet paper, washing up liquid and dishwasher pods are also provided. The flat has a good washer/dryer combo which was nice. Laundry soap provided. The bathroom was small but a good use of space. There is a stand up shower. Bring your own toiletries. Only one caution - nearby is a commercial meat market that runs overnight. It can be noisy. But there are double windows and blinds which help. Do bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Communication with the owner was great. Would recommend and will return!

Excellent location and value

Lots of train lines close by, so my family and I were able to get anywhere in the city quickly, as well as to London Stadium and Wembley Stadium. Neighborhood seems nice, safe - no problems. Excellent value for the location. We would return!

Had a lovely stay over Christmas. Really close to tube stations. Nice apartment with good facilities - kitchen, dishwasher, etc. Host is easy to communicate with.

Great little place in a great locaion

The apartment is lovely in its furnishings and very comfortable. It was a little tight for me and my two grown girls, but with the trundle beds, everyone got a comfortable bed for the night. The location was great, being very close to two tube stops and numerous places to eat. Mok was fantastically responsive to our few questions and I would not hesitate to book this apartment again.

Great flat—just what we needed

The flat was perfect for our family of four. We loved being so close to the Elizabeth line and St Paul’s Cathedral. And the local pubs and coffee shops were very convenient at the start/end of our days. It was great that our kids had separate twin beds. The shower was amazing! And Rolf was very attentive.

Perfect

Check in process was smooth, owners were very friendly, accomodating, easy to communicate. The place was just perfect for us away from home. We have everything we need, just bought groceries and some spices. It was very convenient place, lots of stores, cafe, restaurants nearby, we like to stroll at night, pretty safe as well. There's also a bar down the flat but i don't drink, we just watched live band played. The place is near the oldest parish church in London which was pretty awesome. We also spend sometime at the park which is infront of the apt building. We had a great time in here after a long day walking and exploring. Stayed here for 16 days and we will definitely come back.

Wonderful time

Rolf was very quick to respond with any question I had prior to arriving. We had very detailed instructions about where to go and how to get in just prior to departing from home to go to London. The location was incredibly convenient with regard to getting to anywhere we wanted. I do recommend this place.

The picture was not accurate, the living area had 2 twin beds instead a a double bed and no sofa for sitting, the a/c was a portable unit that really didn’t cool even the main area much less the rest of the apartment. We managed but it’s really a place for young adults who don’t care

Great historical location and proximity to transportation.

Rolf was one of the nicest and most personable hosts I’ve met. I would book with him again in a heart beat. The apartment is situated in a very interesting and rich historical location on the perimeter of London and it’s close to the Farringdon/ Barbican stations. I loved the apartment. It suites a family of four with two teenagers much better than a family with very young children.

A great stay in historic Farringdon.

Great apartment in the heart of historic Farringdon. Who knew about the oldest church in London, the execution of Sir William Wallace and the vibrant Smithfield markets? Not us but we do now. Communication was great. We stayed over Christmas so a lot of pubs and restaurants were closed but we had a brilliant time. You can walk to the Globe Theatre and Tower of London and the new Elizabeth line from Heathrow stops about 150m away. The apartment is London sized but well appointed. We were very happy. Only one problem

We stayed in the summer and when it was hot outside it was hot inside. There was a standing a/c unit in one room but it didn’t cool the place. We kept windows open but the meat market is right across the street and it is very loud at all hours of night with trucks, carts, yelling etc so windows open is tough. Bring earplugs! Otherwise location etc was great!

Very good base

We were in London for a week and the apartment was a good spot for exploring the city. It had sufficient space for 3 and there were almost 10 places to eat within a 5 minute walk. There were 2 very hot days and the bedroom has 2 fans but no air conditioning although the main room does. The window cannot be opened due to the noise from the meat market in the night. Also, the washer dryer combo worked well for washing but not for drying. Rolf did offer us another dryer for use. Besides those 2 issues, we were really pleased with our stay.

For the most of the year of course the city is rather cooler and the flat more soundproof. Excellent Location!!

Could not be happier with the location and the responsiveness of our hosts! The neighborhood is right on the Elisabeth Line from Heathrow. TONS of restaurants in the area (La Forchetta for brekkie!) and St. Paul's and Whitechapel are steps or a tube stop away. We walked home from the Globe and the Tower of London. Unfortunately the dryer was broken; but the good news is it was so hot during our stay that our laundry dried quickly in our flat! There is a room air conditioner in the main room but it just couldn't keep up with the extraordinary heat we experienced because of the heatwave. Plenty of fans provided helped! In normal seasonal temps it would be fine. There are 2 pubs below and the meat market across the street that runs midnight until 7am, but astonishingly the street noise never kept us up, the sound barrier of the windows was excellent. Never heard neighbors either! All-in-all, a perfect situation for couple with 2 teens!

Great location physical but noisy

Great location. The only issues that we encountered have been repeated in other reviews…. Noisy bar downstairs and very noisy meat market across the street during the night. This being said, I do believe the owners have made efforts to reduce the noise but installing proper windows and window treatments. Only other real negative was the lack of towels for our two week stay. There is a washer but the dryer malfunctioned while we were there and had to hang dry towels and clothes. Some items could also use a little updating and the kitchen area is seeing some wear and tear just from overuse. The owner was extremely responsive and easy to contact!

London getaway

First let me say that the owners were great, sent us very detailed emails with lots of helpful information, and explained how everything worked in the home. It is small, and for a family of 5 it was just big enough. 3 of the beds were in the living/dining/kitchen area, but that was fine. We really weren't there much at all during the day. Also, as it turned out, we were there during the record heat wave and the only air conditioner was a window unit in the living/kitchen/dining room, so the bedroom was a sauna, even with the oscillating fan that was there. Not the owners fault of course, but I was hoping for central air when it said it had AC. Also not the owners' fault, but the elevator was broken when we were there and it was 4 flights of stairs up - not easy with 3 small kids and 3 bags. Thankfully we only had to do that once! :) There are plenty of bars, restaurants and a grocery store within just a couple of blocks, and the Underground and bus system is pretty close and easy to navigate. Overall we are very happy we stayed here.

Good location, tight interior space

The apartment was as advertised, yet is most appropriate for a family given the two large single beds in the main living/kitchen area. This would not be ideal for a couple renting this one bedroom apartment. Although we appreciated the convenient location and being within a short walk to the train station and bus stop, the apartment is located next to a very busy Smithfield Wholesale meat market which operates from midnight to10:00 am. With the windows closed the noise is barely decernable, but could be a factor to consider when renting this apartment. We were there when weather was quite warm and although an air conditioner was noted as a simple connection; it was a portable unit that requires venting through a window, thus making the limited floor space even more crowded. We chose not to set it up and used the fans. The pots and pans were unusable, but after contacting the owner they sent a new set via Amazon the next day. Much appreciated. The owner was responsive given a few issues that arose during our stay. It would a great apartment if it were set up as a proper living/dining room combo, rather than cramming extra beds in the living area.

A fabulous location

My husband, 23-year-old son and I stayed for 10 days. Rolf and Mok were much better about communication than we were, getting helpful detailed info and recommendations to us in advance so we could plan and checking to make sure we’d arrived when they hadn’t heard from us. (And they hadn’t heard from us because everything was so clearly explained.) We also hit the ground running and never stopped the whole time we were there. The flat is perfectly located near Farringdon Station with access to most everywhere. We took public transport the entire time, and we appreciated the area is a little removed from the more busy streets of London. As we love to walk, we also found it within distance to Barbican, where we enjoyed the London Symphony Orchestra, Trafalgar Square, Parliament, the London Eye, and the more tourist-laden sites in that area along the Thames. It’s a hike to the latter two, but we enjoyed just seeing the city on foot. One specific recommendation is visiting the Royal Observatory and taking in the most spectacular view of London and taking the water taxi back from Greenwich after dark and seeing the amazing city lights and bridges. Anyway, the flat is very functional! The shower and WiFi work well. We never had any time to watch television. The only issue is noise from the bar below and the adjacent meat market, which runs midnight to 7 am four nights a week, I think. But the noise is muffled by double panes on the windows. Still, you may want to consider earplugs.

Apartamento encantador y muy céntrico

El apartamento está fenomenal. Muy bien acondicionado con su calefacción central y muy bien equipado. La vista del edificio del mercado enfrente le da un toque muy inglés. No se oyen ruidos a pesar de estar toda la noche trabajando en el mercado ya que tienen doble ventanal. Se puede ir paseando a San Paul, la Tate, el Sky Garden... y la estación de metro (Barbican) que está muy próxima al apartamento te lleva fácilmente a cualquier punto de la ciudad. Hay un supermercado Tesco al lado de la estación de metro. El trato con el propietario Rolf ha sido correcto en todo momento. Es un apartamento muy recomendable donde hemos pasado unos días maravillosos.

Muy recomendable

El apartamento está muy bonito y limpio. Tiene todos los electrodomésticos y comodidades que se puedan necesitar, además de su situación, muy céntrico y fácil de llegar a cualquier lado a pie o con cualquiera de las líneas de metro que están cercanas. Tiene triple ventana , con lo cual apenas se escuchan ruidos del exterior. Solo un poco se escuchó la música el sábado por la noche proveniente del pub de abajo, pero soportable. En definitiva , estuvimos muy a gusto en el apartamento y lo recomiendo para estancias con o sin niños.
