Relaxing Vacation

We loved our stay. The cottage was clean and cozy. The beach was a short walk away and we had some great swims. The street was quiet and my daughter was able to ride her bike. We loved the proximity to Awenda and were able to enjoy hiking and kayaking there. Thanks for a great vacation Sandy!

Great Experience!

The place was perfect for us. Sandy provided us with everything we needed and more! The place was spotless when we arrived. There were endless things for the kids to do inside the cottage and out. The beach is a short 3-5 minute walk away, but once you get there, wow! Quite small as it is a private beach for the local residents but perfect for swimming and sunsets. It's quite shallow for quite a distance and perfect for the young ones. The backyard is huge and we loved sitting by the fire at night. For the one night that we had a storm, there was high-speed internet and movie streaming services available - as well as a host of DVDs. We'll be back, for sure. Thanks Sandy!

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful Stay at Sandy’s Tiki Hut - the home was lovely and extremely clean. It was in a great location with access to a private beach, hiking, big back yard, fire pit and more. Sandy was a fabulous host, couldn’t have asked for better - she was super responsive prior to our stay when I inquired about restaurant options for my mother’s birthday and was very informative about the process, things to do in the area and any information we needed. Would highly recommend staying here and I would stay at Sandy’s Tiki Hut again!

Lovely little spot!

A cozy, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, incredibly clean cottage. Sandy thought of all the details! We really enjoyed staying here. The little beach is great for kids (bring water shoes), though it’s more like a 3 to 5 minute walk, so just be prepared for that. The Sunset Trail is perfect for an easy but beautiful hike. We also loved hiking and swimming at Awenda Provincial Park nearby. It’s a hilly but beautiful 30-minute bike ride to there if you’re a bike rider. Sandy was a wonderful, thoughtful host who provided a sweet welcome basket and weather and activity updates every day since the cottage is off the grid. She was very attentive and helpful. We definitely recommend this spot for a stay in the country with easy access to Georgian Bay.

Relaxing quiet getaway

Cozy cottage in a quiet neighbourhood close to Awenda Provincial park. The place was very clean and had everything needed. Sandy is a great host and very responsive. Perfect spot for a quiet getaway!

Best host ever and a great place

Sandy could not have been a better host. She was incredibly responsive, attentive and even proactively suggested lots of things for us to do. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with, before, during and after our stay. The place itself was lovely. Sparkling clean and nicely decorated. We particularly loved the fire pit and the pogoda at the front of the house where we could eat our meals and watch the birds! The location is excellent, with a great beach just a minute walk away, and other private beaches no more than 5 minutes' walk away. Highly recommended!

David and JJ and their 2 very well behaved boys were an absolute pleasure to have over. Communication was wonderful from the beginning and throughout their stay. I never worried for a minute. The cottage was treated as their own home with TLC and everything was neat, tidy and clean. If your planning on hosting this lovely family you will be delighted to cross paths with them. I highly recommend them to any future host. A++++++ I was happy to cross paths with them and my heart is full knowing they had a wonderful engaging time with their family. I hope to see them again anytime. It was a pleasure knowing them virtually and having them over.
