Good stay but could have been better.
Overall, this property was good and we enjoyed our time. The property is spacious and was easily able to accommodate our large group of 16 people, including young kids and several youth / teens. By far, the best area of the house is the top floor with the large sitting area and kitchen / dining area. We spent most of our time there. The basement is also quite spacious and we would have spent more time there if it wasn't so cold in the basement. Adjusting the thermostat helped a bit, however, the room with the pool table was very cold and did not have any heat ventilation. Oddly, there is a gas fireplace in that room but it is not functional. When we asked about it, we were told that it's been deactivated due to it being a fire hazard. Would have been nice if there were some space heaters placed in the basement to help with the temperature. The rooms / washrooms were OK, but not great. Everything is a bit dated and old. The rooms were good size and the dressers helped with storage. On our final evening, it was raining and the roof in the kitchen started to leak. It created a fair size puddle in the kitchen that we had to clean up. Communication with the host was ok, but detail could have been a bit better. The dishwasher worked, but not great and wasn't easy to use. The hot tub was great. We didn't use the bbq or the backyard so can't comment on those. Overall, it was a good place, but needs a bit of attention to make it a place that I would re-visit.
