Blue Mountain Gem (R) near the Village

Amazing 6-bedroom Chalet very close to the heart of Blue Mountain Village. Traditional Chalet with lots of character and lots of room for a big group with big plans! Fireplace (electric), sauna, bar, games room including ping pong and air hockey table, two fridges and two Smart TV's. The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place. We also own the 6 bedroom that is connected and if you need a bigger space we could accommodate 12 bedroom rental.

The Lower Level offers 3 bedrooms each with Double bunk beds (Double below and above). The Main Level offers 3 bedrooms each with two single beds that can be pushed together for a King size bed.

Lots of parking for 8 cars.

We supply pillows, duvets, linens, towels.

Amazing!

This chalet is absolutely perfect for a ski getaway with friends! It had everything we needed and is super close to the village. Definitely recommend staying here!

Beware faulty fire alarm!

Overall our family enjoyed our stay here. There were 12 of us and it was wonderful to be able to be in one spot altogether. It was also great to have a fairly well stocked kitchen to cook our meals. However two concerns we had were the carpets are very dirty and there was a musty smell probably coming from the dirty carpets where smells tend to accumulate. At 3 o’clock in the morning on the Saturday night, we were all woken up by the fire alarm and its voice calling out fire fire. We quickly ran around to find there was no smoke or fire, but then we became concerned that it might be the carbon monoxide alarm as well, which of course there is no smell, but it’s lethally dangerous. We called the numbers given on the mandatory posting on the wall and neither one answered, so we found the fire manual in the corner and found a third number when we called that number, the gentleman admitted that yes that had happened before, and all he did was disconnect it! That made us even more worried. We eventually received a call the next morning, but that is really not acceptable because we could have all perished with the carbon monoxide fumes had there been any. It was especially unnerving because one of our daughters and children had their house burn down three years ago, which traumatized the kids to be woken up in the middle of the night for another potential house fire. Our advice before booking this place contact manager for proof it’s been fixed.!

Amazing weekend

My friends and I had the best time at this cottage!!! We stayed for a weekend and we all wished we booked another night, now we know for next time. The owners are sooo nice, accommodating and easy to work with. Close to the village so if you want to go get dinner it’s only a 7 minute Uber away which is what we did. Lots of space for many people. Huge driveway. 10/10 weekend my friends and I had such a good time and would definitely recommend this place to anyone considering booking!!! Thank you Brent and Mary for a wonderful weekend.

Wonderfull winter getaway!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay - we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The chalet was so clean and well-stocked! The welcome basket was a lovely touch and greatly enjoyed by us all. The central location was so convenient and we look forward to returning! Thanks again!

No surprises

Stayed here with 7 friends for a weekend. We have stayed in chalets in Collingwood before and it was exactly what we expected. We needed a lot of rooms and beds and this one had 6 bedrooms. It had everything we needed and the house rules and expectations were reasonable with clear instructions regarding garbage and recycling. Our group was happy and would stay here again.

Blue mountain stay

This rental was very clean and had all the basic amenities required. It is an older duplex chalet surrounded by other similar older chalets. Brent did a renovation on both the kitchen and bathroom which look great. We had a few issues with the new smart thermostat where we had to increase the heat multiple times a day. There are two washrooms, one adjoining to a bedroom - which didn’t make it as accessible for our large group of 16. The sauna and hot tub were a nice perk to enjoy on cold nights. There is a beautiful view of blue mountain ski hills on one side of the chalet and a forest on the opposite side- both created a lovely atmosphere. Brent was very responsive. Thank you for a lovely stay.
