It was a great cabin. It was a few minutes walk to the small beach, and it was beautiful. Very quiet street and a few minute drive to downtown and other bigger beaches around. It was also nice to be able to bring our dog.

This was a great place for a quiet get away. The little beach down the street was a beautiful place just to sit and relax. The host was very friendly and ready to assist with any and all needs. Would book this property again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful place

This home was perfect for our family of four. It is a 1/2 block from a beautiful, sandy beach. The cabin comes equipped with all the amenities you need to cook and grill. The beds were comfy; the wi-fi was excellent; and there is a sweet artesian well on the property with crystal clear water. We will be booking again!

Sunshine cabin

My family stayed here for a week in early June and had a wonderful time! The cabin was very clean and as advertised. We loved how close it was to the lake and spent time there with our son and dog. The checkin/ checkout procedure was a breeze and Mark was very helpful during our stay. This was the first vacation that we brought our dog along for and we loved having her with us. It's a very quiet area and great for evening walks.

Sunshine Cottage - A Gem

I booked this cottage for myself and 82 yr old dad. We had a great time and enjoyed the property and the close proximity to Lake Charlevoix. We brought our own kayaks & enjoyed the large patio, firepit area and the overall experience. I will definitely be booking this cottage again. Thank you for a great daughter-dad trip and for the memories.

Perfect little slice of Sunshine

The cabin is dreamy! Clean, neat, sweetly decorated and well equipped. My daughter and her husband (and little furry babies) were so comfortable here. It's only a 5 minute drive to downtown Charlevoix yet quiet and private. We will surely rent this cabin again!

Loved the location to the water. I don’t know who had more fun us or our pup Meatball. Lovely hiking trails nearby and a lot of time spent on the dog friendly beaches. We rode the ferry over to Ironton and enjoyed that as well. Great food and shopping downtown. Will definitely be back soon!!

Rest and relaxation

We all needed to relax and enjoy the beginning of the fall season. What a way to start it off The cabin was clean and inviting. The water and beach area was drawing you in to sit and just listen to the water or read a good book. At night a fire with marshmallows is a must and this was accomplished. Over experience amazing 😊

We had an amazing time! The cabin is small but cozy. It has everything you need. It is arranged and organized very well. They used every inch of the cabin with thought. It has an outside grill, table outside on the patio. There is a fire pit and horse shoes outside also. The location is perfect. The lake and beach is feet away! It's the perfect getaway for rest and relaxation. We will be back!

Family friendly northern michigan adventure

Thankful to find this spot and be able to enjoy it with friends. We rented all 3 cabins and we stayed for a long weekend with 3 families (6 adults and 8 kids) in July. The setup was great and close walking distance to the public access beach that was never very busy. The common yard area is large with plenty of room for the kids to run around. We also brought hammocks that we hung from trees. This cabin had 2 bedrooms, one with a trundle bed and one with a full size bed which had enough room on the side to fit our pack-n-play. To top it off, Mark is super friendly and is there to help if you need anything. We are hoping to stay another weekend next summer!! The only complaint I had about our cabin was that the coffee pot took a really long time and all the water would stay up top in the filter instead of emptying into the coffee pot. Possibly due to the wrong size coffee pot?

uncomfortable beds

We arrived on Thursday, it was cold and raining. The note said there's a thermostat, we looked all over, no thermostat and we were cold and wet after playing golf. The cute little fireplace thing put off heat right by it but no further. None of our shoes or clothes dried out over night. Friday it was sunny and warmer, we left for the day to golf. Came back and the place was blazing hot. there's not a thermostat on the little fire thing so it was burning strong and with the sun shining in, it got hot. The beds are small and very uncomfortable, no soap in the shower, but it was clean, rustic, and quiet. We left a day early and went where there was a more comfortable bed.

We want to clarify that while we do not advertise an air conditioner, there is a window AC unit on the property to ensure a comfortable stay. Additionally, for the colder months, we also provide a propane heater to keep our guests warm. -We sincerely apologize if the beds did not meet your desired level of comfort. We understand that everyone has different preferences when it comes to mattresses, and we strive to provide a restful and comfortable sleeping experience for all our guests. It's important to note that the mattresses are fairly new in the property and are advertised as 1 full-size bed and 2 twin beds, and we mention this in our listing to set accurate expectations. -Regarding the amenities, we do have hand soap dispensers available in both the kitchen and bathroom areas. However, we have made a conscious decision not to provide plastic bottles of shampoo to contribute to environmental sustainability. Please know that it is our sincere desire to provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests."

Great family vacay

The property location was awesome! We loved having the beach just down the road - it was never overly crowded, and it was just a short drive into downtown Charlevoix. We recommend checking out The Back Lot Beer Garden & Food Trucks - great options and family friendly. The location was also perfect for day trips - we visited both Petoskey (30 minutes) and Mackinac Island (just over an hour + ferry ride). In Petoskey, Beards Brewery was phenomenal and in Mackinac we stocked up on May’s Fudge. We absolutely recommend this property, it was a perfect cozy retreat for our family of 5.

Great location, close enough to town but in the country. Back yard and fire pit is shared with two other cabins but we had good neighbors and enjoyed ourselves. Water is just a couple hundred feet away at the end of the street which is public access, it never was busy so it was nice and quiet. Mark the owner was very nice and good to talk to! My family all enjoyed themselves and I have nothing bad to say. Overall experience was great and the price was reasonable. Thanks Mark!

Not accurate

The property listing is not accurate. It stated numerous times that it was lakeside and showed a photo of the lake. The lake is actually a block away and it’s public so everyone in the neighborhood uses it. There also is a photo of a campfire with a swing but you find out when you get there that you share it with another cabin. Besides those two things, the cabin was very nice, newly updated. The location to the boat dock was perfect. The manager of the property, Mark, was great and very helpful with anything we needed.

Nice, clean and simple cabin near beautiful lake Charlevoix

Brought my wife and infant child up to enjoy a quick getaway. Everything went very smooth and we enjoyed our time very much. Property host went above and beyond to help us when we accidentally locked ourselves out one night. Great Experience highly recommend.
