Perfect Location!

I had friends join me on this trip and we had some of the best times here. I stayed at Sea Grape, which had tons of room and amenities, but the outdoor spaces, like the tiki hut and fire place, were incredible (tons of memories made!). You can't beat the location, the proximity to everything, and the private resort atmosphere. Our group will definitely being staying again and will invite even more people next time. This place is awesome!

Sea Grape cottage is new and in a fantastic location and great neighborhood.Unfortunately there were too many issues to make it a relaxing stay:1. Upon arrival we had food to cook for dinner. The oven wouldn't stay on- it kept tripping the breaker for the entire range. We found the electrical panel but couldn't get the breaker to hold. Long story short, they did fix the issue by noon the next day and comped us 4 ice creams for our trouble.2. The laundry does not work. The washing machine took my quarters but wouldn't start. They came and refunded my quarters but didn't get the laundry working while we were there.3. There is no heat. Only AC. It got pretty cold with nights down to 40.4. The bar for eating can only seat 2 people comfortably. It's narrow and short. So 2 of us ate on the couch with pillows on our laps. The bar stools are so uncomfortable that by the end we were all 4 eating on the couch. 5. There are no bikes, no games, only kayaks without paddles in the garage. Later we did find some paddles in the sotrage area in the back but it was too late for us to use them.6. No cutting board or bowl large enough to make a salad for 4 in the kitchen.8. No trash can in the bathroom or any of the bedrooms.9. No hook or bar to hang towels in the bathroom. If you hang them on the shower rod, it will fall down. It's difficult to put it back if it falls down.10. The shower curtain looks nice but doesn't really work. The bathroom floor floods. 11. No grill utensils.

Perfect, relaxing getaway

We found this gem when we decided to stay longer in the St. Pete area. Our Cottage - Sea Grape - was clean and comfortable. It was nicely decorated and included everything we needed for our stay. If you want to cook, you will need to bring all food-related items with you, including spices. The kitchen does have everything you will need for prep, cooking, and serving. The property includes two nice, large, propane grills outside, plus a tiki patio, a pool with a lot of poolside furniture, and a fire pit. The front porch had seating, and other areas on the property had a lot of seating available. The beds were very comfortable for us and we slept well. It was quiet most of the time, except for a loud truck starting up early out front, and neighbors across the street loudly arguing outside one morning. The outside door to the bedroom with single beds could use some weather stripping for softening noise. The location is a few blocks from John's Pass shops, and a few blocks directly to the beach. Beach towels are provided as well as other towels and linens. (The beach was not crowded, and the sand was so soft! Renting a cabana was $35 a day, with a discount for later in the day or multiple days. Definitely worth it, and less expensive than Treasure Island.) We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

A great stay!

What a wonderful little cottage with an easy walk to the beach and John’s Pass boardwalk! We were attending a local wedding and looking for something reasonably priced, and the Sea Grape cottage suited our needs just fine! While the cottage sleeps six, I am happy there were just 4 of us as I think using the pull out couch would have made the space very cramped, it is a small space but well laid out. Also note that only one parking space is allotted for this place, however there is limited additional parking on property (we were fortunate that a space was available for our second car the whole time we were there). Most importantly, the property manager was SO attentive and communicated quickly with any questions we had, this was a huge plus! We were so busy that we were unable to take advantage of the amenities on property, but they looked well maintained. Highly recommend!

Nice Location, questionable housekeeping

This Condo Pros/Cons Pros peace and quiet but a very short walk to the action -beach is across the street -provides bikes and other gear in garage -kitchen for cooking -tiki bar and firepit set up perfectly with beautiful landscaping Cons Housekeeping and startup supplies This place needs a spring cleaning the grime and dust were pretty bad the stove, refrigerator etc was nasty with grime They did send housekeeping back to make it right however it didn't make much difference, there places with dust and 1/4 in thick. Papertowels/TP/Dish soap were all cheap Bed was a 6 out of 10 on comfort Overall If you don't mind cleaning before you unpack and purchasing decent products yourself this place is perfect. Would I stay again? If they give it a hardcore cleaning and provide general products that fit the price you pay I would stay again.

Fantastic Cottage

Absolutely am in love with this little slice of island paradise! Everything is exactly as described but seeing is believing! Would stay here over and over again! Communication with the property manager is quick and efficient. We seriously could not be happier!

We really enjoyed our stay! So many wonderful things to list: location, common areas are well maintained, beds were very comfortable, water toys & bikes a plenty, quick text responses to our questions/needs, clean! Like any rental bring extra TP, paper towels, garbage bags and hand soap. Definitely will stay here again!

Family Vacation

The property was very nice and in a well located area. The home was clean. However, I would suggest keeping more garbage bags, toilet paper and paper towels in the property (doesn't even have to be expensive brands). The location is within walking distance to the beach and John's Pass. We had a great time. Would recommend this place to family and friends. Thank you for a great stay.

Great Home!!

Stayed here with family for the weekend. It has been updated it looks like since the pictures were taken. The furniture was different and the walls were freshly painted!! Everything was at the house you needed and its walking distance to the beach! Would definitely stay again!

We love this community! This condo...not for the feint of heart.

For the most part, we have really enjoyed our stays at this property...we came two years ago and stayed at a renovated upstairs unit, which was beautifully decorated and furnished, well-stocked with toiletries, and extremely clean. We loved it so much. I was really looking forward to booking a unit at this property again, and chose the Sea Grape condo because it had a pull-out sofa. This stay at the Sea Grape condo was initially disappointing...we got in at 1 am and upon entering the apartment, realized that it was pretty filthy. There were skid marks and shoe prints on the walls, dust bunnies on the walls/fan blades/in all the corners, layers of dust covering all of the sparse wall and shelf decor, mold all along the lining of the refrigerator and in the bathroom...there was no mirror in the bathroom, and half a hinge remaining where it appeared that someone had ripped off the medicine cabinet door. We opened up the pull out sofa, and so much debris and dirt came out of it...it was also covered in stains and very, very flat. We were able to find a spare set of sheets for that bed, but no blanket...we had to go and buy one. When I got into bed an hour after being there, my feet were black from how filthy the floors were. It was comically bad. That being said, the property manager was very apologetic about the state of the condo and very responsive when I explained our experience. They offered to put us up at a nearby hotel, but since we specifically chose this property for the ease of access to the pool, we didn't want to leave. They ended up agreeing to refund the cleaning fees, and we spent the next day mopping and cleaning the space up. One lucky thing is that the property manager had already contacted us the day we arrived to ask if it would be okay if they removed the existing sofa and loveseat and replaced them with brand new ones...thay had scheduled that delivery for a date prior to our arrival, but were delayed by the hurricane. They replaced the sofas the next day, and it significantly improved our experience as the new sofa was extremely comfortable and clean. I did love that this condo had a fenced in front porch area! We really love the location because it is a short, scenic walk to the boardwalk, or the beach, and the neighborhood is so friendly. It's well-equipped outside with a grill and a firepit, and the pool is so much fun! It's close, and shallow for the kids. All in all, we had a fabulous time.

Missing things

No mop to clean floors after 7-8 days feet Black from dirt, pool or what employees said was not a pool only a swim Spa, was not will kept, couple got ear infections, I asked the person who was checking for chlorine and he said the count was zero, the deck had 1/2 dozen broken floats in one corner, garbage it, needs to be cleaned almost every day since large trees drop many leaves and seeds on the deck,

Nice property

Nice property. Well kept. Beds were comfortable. Short walk to beach. Beach toys including bikes, paddleboards, kayaks, beach chairs and ice coolers were a fantastic addition to the property. My only real complaint was the shower head. The water shoots out in a thousand directions and it really needs replaced. Other than this, I have no other issues with stay.

Perfect, Amazing!

This was the perfect place to stay for a long mother's day weekend! Me and my sisters were visiting my mom that lives in St. Petersburg and we couldn't have asked for a better place. Great host, perfect amount of space, well maintained, tons of amenities, and close to the beach and walking distance to bars restaurants and shops. Beautiful scenery and very relaxing but fun.

The cottages will do with some improvements !!

We enjoyed the location, quiet and family friendly. The kids enjoyed the heated pool especially being a chilly breezy weekend. The Tiki bar area was great for family to gather together around the table. Unfortunately we found some left over wrappings of food left in some corners of the house. The bathroom door would do better with a handle to open and close lol! The sofa need’s upgrading especially if you are using it as a bed. We had to buy an air bed and that worked great. In all we enjoyed our visit in Madiera.

Nice, but cleaning was needed

House is cozy, quite setting. It may have just been luck of draw but house was dusty on fans, bottom of walls and on top of appliances. Beds and couch had dirt and wrappers under cushions. Was addressed after contacting property manager, but just didn’t feel clean.

5+ cottages and only one washer/dryer and washer was broken — property management did share part was ordered when contacted, but later learned it has been over a month from other long term renters — should have been informed of this prior to arrival to pack and plan better — did not expect or want to go to a laundromat. Community feeling while sitting out front having coffee was nice—everyone is so relaxed and happy down south.
