Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills.
Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary.
Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas.
A full service concierge can also arrange for everything from massages to fishing charters.

Island Paradise

The unit is in the most perfect location. Right off of the pool, the grilling area and the beach access on the backside and walking distance from coconuts and rum bay for meals! It is stunningly decorated and was exactly what we needed for a romantic weekend We had the best time on our little getaway

relaxing getaway

palm island over 4th of July was amazing. Very relaxing and beautiful property. apartment had everything we needed to cook and best part was that my doggy was welcomed.

The people who work there are polite, helpful, and friendly. This is a great place to go when you want to enjoy the beach or pool without them being crowded.

Not worth the money

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were there for three nights, was not cleaned properly, found a dirty spoon on the floor under a chair in the living room. AC filter was very dirty and obviously hadn’t been changed in a while. We paid an extra $150 to bring our 10lb chi weenie but I would say the resort is not pet friendly. Can’t go on the beaches with her although we did!! Restaurant wouldn’t allow us to even sit outside with her at one of the outside tables either. So for $1350 for three nights it was not good for us I’m afraid. The microwave oven in the kitchen was minute!! Very small, why was there not a microwave above the oven as in the photos?

We appreciated the washer and dryer because even though towels were available, we were there for 4 nights. Loved the updated, more modern decor as well, that always gives a “resort” feel. We purchased a golf cart to be able to visit family at other parts of the island, it needed some TLC mechanically. Also, resort restaurant could use an update (and fresher menu).

Don't stay at A3314B

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The worst experience I have had in 12 years of staying at the resort. First off the floors were so dirty my socks were black on the bottoms within an hour and micro gritty sand everywhere! I realize it is Florida and you are close to the beach but the unit is off the ground. The back entrance to the unit flooded a foot deep the entire time we were there so there was no access to the back deck from the ground floor which faced the pools and beach. The stair lighting did not work either. The villa was over run with cockroaches (everyone likes to argue palmetto bugs but there is no difference google it) we had 8 of them all over 1 1/2 inches long. Then they came and sprayed after I asked to be moved and 7 more proceeded to come out. The bed was beyond awful! It was two twins out together with a transition piece that was higher than the actual sunken mattresses. They had literally holes you slept in. I told this upon my departure and said you could have given this to me for free and I would not stay there. I got no response from the office .

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Palm Island for almost 2 decades. Unfortunately, this was the worst unit we have stayed in. The unit smelled like cigarette smoke, there was pet fur in the coach cushions the bed had sand fleas and overall the unit wasn’t clean. We knew this was a pet friendly unit but so is every room at a Lowes hotel and they are very clean, not this one. We told management straight away and they were very apologetic and were going to send housekeeping over in the morning of our second day but pointed out that this my stir up the pet dander and cause allergy problems so we elected not to do it. The unit overall, which is becoming a common them of our stays, was tired and needed to be updated. From the torn wallpaper to the chewed furniture things need to be replaced. More importantly the unit needs to be clean!!

Hate to complain, grateful to have stayed

Reviewer Comments: We did have a good time as usual but when we arrived we were informed by the neighbor that they were replacing the carpet the next day in his unit was very loud but I understand that it Hass to be done at some times the following morning we were told we would have no water at 8:30 AM with a later check out this did prevent us from making breakfast due to we would not have water to clean up the dishes so we opted for showers instead the people were lovely the weather was beautiful and the food wasgreat.

We have stayed in this unit previously, but new owners have purchased it and have done very nice upgrades! Appreciated seeing the stainless steel appliances and the new patio furniture Is super comfy and a perfect spot to grab a good book and watch the beautiful gulf views! As always, the staff at Palm Island Resort is too notch and super friendly.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at Palm Island. The first was amazing. However this time our villa was very disappointing. Our king size bed was very uncomfortable due to a Bucksprings mismatch leaving one side of the bed lower than the other side of the bed. It looks as though this villa could really use some updating and repairs. The refrigerator has been spray-painted to try and cover up rust. We expected more considering what we were paying.

The Queen size bed was a queen headboard with a full mattress. The refrigerator had rust all over the front of it. The drawer for silverware was broke. Just not up tothe standards we are use too.

Unit is in great location, near pool and short walk to restaurant and other amenities. Some minor things need attention(eg., large burner on stove didn’t work, kitchen appliances need update). Would not hesitate to book again.
