Great lake views. Great fishing (smallmouth bass, pickerel, walleye, crappie, perch, sunfish).
No gas motors are allowed. Definitely "kid-friendly."
4 Kayaks, row boat and life jackets available. large deck on the water.
25 Minute drive to Downtown Saratoga Springs
Grill, fire pit, our door fire place.

1 King, 2 Queen, 1 single, 1 cot.

There is a wood burning fire place in the living room, a pellet stove in the sun room and a gas fire place in one of the bedrooms and yes we provide wood. Linens are provided. Cable TV.



COVID 19 UPDATES: We are here to ensure check in/check out is as smooth as possible. All host and guest interactions will follow state and federal guidelines, face masks will be required during host and guest interactions.

Just returned from a relaxing weekend at this beautiful lakehouse! Our family had a lovely time and we absolutely enjoyed this peaceful lake. We even got to see a bald eagle! Our host was friendly, courteous and made us feel right at home! Highly recommended!

Michael’s lakeside retreat was the perfect getaway. Being right on the pristine water was incredible. Michael is a great host; he made us feel right at home. The house is huge with lots of room to spread out. Nice location close to Saratoga & Cooperstown.

Magical mornings

This was our second time at this property and we enjoyed it just as much this time. Michael is a wonderful hands on if needed owner. The dishwasher had a water line that broke during our stay and he had a new one installed the next day, how often does that happen?It’s situated on Galway Lake with its own dock. One bedroom overlooks the lake and waking up in that room is pure magic! We enjoyed meals either on the inside porch area or outdoors on the lower deck all with fabulous lake views. We spent hours kayaking, in the water or sitting on the dock. We did have some dinners out but cooked in the spacious, fully equipped kitchen several times. All in all we had another wonderfulvacation in this Galway Lake rental!Thank you, Michael

Amazing Family Vacation

Location with beautiful views and comforts of home. Michael met us at the house for check in and explained everything we need to know as well as checking on us a few time during our stay. We had one issue and Michael was very quick to respond and resolved the issue. Upstairs bedrooms are very spacious. Great dock for fishing. If you like to kayak, you will love this location! Overall we had a wonderful week with family. Thank you

A fabulous vacation Lake Home, well-maintained with thoughtful comforts of home throughout to make it cozy and just like home. Ample lighting and an open concept floor plan provided breathtaking views of the lake from multiple rooms. Living the Lake Life!

What a wonderful getaway. Michael's home is warm, cozy and each room has a wonderful view of Galway Lake. We loved early morning kayaking and just floating in the lake. Hanging on the porches, bbqing and just relaxing! The kitchen is filled with everything you need to cook a great meal and you are close to a lot of great restaurants if you have a hankering to leave the property! Michael is easily reachable and made the stay perfect! Look forward to a longer stay next summer!

The camp was a great getaway for our family. It was clean and there was plenty of space and outdoor activities for everyone. Our host Michael responded quickly to the few questions we had. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous views

Gorgeous and serene location. Loved waking up to the lake, drinking coffee looking at the lake, sitting on the dock with a glass of wine in the evening, and kayaking. It was also close enough to Saratoga Springs that we were able to pop over for dinner and for the races. The kitchen is well appointed and having the washer/dryer was an added bonus. Lots of room in this house. Perfect for a relaxing vacation.

Lovely

Enjoyed this place so much last year that we book it again. The house is so spacious and clean. Outdoor patio and dock were wonderful. Didn't need a thing while relaxing the whole week! Host is readily available for any questions.

Water Lovers Dream

It is a great property with beautiful views of the lake. Lots of kayaks are available for guests to use, with easy access to the water from the shore or dock. I'll definitely stay again during my next visit to Galway Lake!

Galway Gem

We stayed on the property for 4 nights. Wish the weather would have cooperated more but not the properties problem. We cooked breakfast every morning. Everything you needs to make breakfast was available. Will definitely stay at the property in the future.

Spacious home on a beautiful lake

My husband and I stayed with a another couple in this beautiful home on the lake. The main floor has a large kitchen/living room area and a spacious sunroom where we enjoyed our coffee every morning looking out at the great view of the lake. There were several options to have our meals including a large kitchen table, however, because the weather was so nice we chose to eat either at the table in the sunroom or at the one on the deck. The lake is very clean and we took advantage of the kayaks that were at the property to explore the lake. The upstairs bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Michael is a great host! He responded quickly to any questions we had. Looking forward to coming back to this home again soon!

Our family of 5 enjoyed the very roomy, clean and comfortable lake house. Took full advantage, daily, of the kayaks & zero gravity chairs on lakeside dock. The fishing was good right off the dock as well as out in kayak. The house flowed nicely from Kitchen to sunroom. Bedrooms very spacious and we all slept great on comfy beds! Very quiet lake. Our host was very kind. Thank you , again. We hope to visit another time, God willing. M.L.

Lovely lake retreat

We had a wonderful stay at this Galway lake rental. Our host, Michael, was friendly and gracious when we arrived, showing us around and making us comfortable with his home. He even came by when I called with a few questions about lighting and fan controls. The rental itself was everything the pictures depicted. Just beautiful, roomy and relaxing with an amazing view of the lake. We kayaked, walked, had a day at the races and enjoyed fires at night in the outdoor fire pit. We loved being at the lake and hope to come back. Susan Naple

Shortcomings but overall enjoyable

We rented this property because of it's proximity to Saratoga Springs and it's location on a lake. We did not receive checkin information or a key and sent messages with no response. The house was open when we arrived. There was no key for us to lock the house. The house was tastefully decorated and clean with the exception of cobwebs in all rooms. The cooking pans were aged, and difficult to clean. The AC in the front bedroom facing the lake could not be used because the remote did not work and we did not have a phillips screwdriver or batteries or directions. TV in front sunroom did not work because it could not connect to the internet/wifi. We could not use the wifi until Monday when Michael came to the house with batteries and discovered the paper with wifi password and username were wrong. Linens and mattresses were superior. Towels and toiletries were provided and excellent quality. The phone number we were given was the old property manager number that was listed on the listing. There was no instruction booklet about using appliances or the check-in or check-out process. Michael gave us a key on Monday, the 3rd day of our stay, changed batteries and showed us how to use A/C. The kayaks had to be cleaned as they were covered in slugs, dirt, leaves and debris. The furniture on the decks had to be cleaned with a hose because they were also dirty. The exterior of the house is not as clean as the photos indicate. In spite of these pitfalls, we enjoyed our stay.

Fourth of July on the Lake

The house was wonderful. Large enough to host a group of 7 friends comfortably. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The lake is beautiful - we sat on the dock surrounded by fish and a family of ducks and watched a bald eagle circling the lake from the kayaks. Would absolutely recommend to anyone traveling as a group or a family.

Great location on peaceful Galway Lake!

Such a lovely property! We had a total of 7 adult family members for our first get-together since COVID and really enjoyed our stay. The lake was beautiful and so peaceful, and we loved relaxing on the anti-gravity chairs on the dock. We kayaked, cooked in the large kitchen, made smores by the fire outside, and enjoyed spending time together in the bright, comfy sunroom. The two upstairs bedrooms were huge. The upstairs bathroom was also big and had plenty of towels. The two downstairs bedrooms were small and one of those bedrooms only had a twin bed and did not have a door, but it worked out fine for us since we had 7 people and not 8. The location was only 30 minutes from downtown Saratoga Springs, which was super convenient for those of us who went to the track. We appreciated that Michael stopped by on the second day to give us the lay of the land. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful setting

We loved the outdoors. The lake is beautiful and we swam and used the boat and kayaks. The house was very well decorated and had a terrific family room. The only issue with the house was that there was a one step up to enter eachbedroom in the second floor. So if you are older or don’t see well, it would be easy to fall. Our host, Michael, was very nice and treated us to a couple if pay per view movies. I would stay here again.

Great fishing!

Nice and quiet, beautiful view of the lake, loved the sunroom and deck to sit and look out over the lake. Nice dock with chairs for fishing. Used kayaks almost everyday. Caught lots of fish from dock and from kayaks out on the lake. House was well equipped. Michael was very responsive when we had questions. We would go back.

Relaxing vacation

Galway lake is a small quiet lake. The house was nice, well equipped with a beautiful view from the sunroom. Beds were comfortable and neighbors were quiet. The house was not cleaned to our standards upon arrival but Michael came to the house quickly to discuss the issue and rectified the situation to our satisfaction. We enjoyed the kayaks but unfortunately there was too much seaweed in the lake for us to comfortably swim from the dock, which was a little disappointing for our teenager.

We had a great time.

The new dock with the recline chairs were perfect for watching amazing sunrises. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could need. Would definitely come back!!
