Great Location

We had a very enjoyable stay at Cayuga Lake Retreat. The house is spacious and comfortable and right on the water. It was great to wake up to stunning views of the lake.The neighborhod was pleasant and quiet and a good location for day trips as well as a short drive to stores and restaurants. We were able to use the fire pit a few times and appreciated how private the lake front was. The kitchen was well equipped and the updated bathroom with double sinks was a plus.We hope to return again on our next visit to the Finger Lakes.

Beautiful views and convenient location.

The place has a beautiful view, and the sunrise was top notch. It’s located very close to a boat launch and anything else you need. Lots of space inside.

Fall relaxation weekend

We were a small group of 5 women over the age of 50. All of us were so impressed by the space and cleanliness of the house. If you are a germafobe this is the place for you. The view from the deck was fantastic. We had our morning coffee and our evening wine each day.The kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful! If you’re looking for a homey place to stay, I highly recommend this house. We plan on returning next year.

Family vacation

Very good time on the lake. Made use of dock fir swimming and fishing and paddled around on the kayaks. Lots of space for family to spread out in the house after long drives. House is close to many state parks for day trips. Well appointed kitchen for a couple meals in.

Great location; easy access to tons of wineries, restaurants and hiking. The house was cute, it had everything we needed to cook a few meals. The kids loved the games that were provided. The views were absolutely gorgeous. There were several places to sit outside including a gorgeous deck. Kayaks and life vests were provided which was great. The only recommendation I have is to consider upgrading the mattress in the basement bedroom to a real mattress as the foam pad was incredibly uncomfortable. Even placing the additional mattress topper on it wasn’t enough. Would definitely consider purchasing an actual mattress.

Great lake house. Owners and house were very accommodating as I had my elderly parents with me who are not overly mobile. Perfect location on the north end of the lake in shallower water. Was great for tubing and fishing with the kids. The decks are set up nicely for cooking out and eating. As you could imagine, the views are awesome. Lastly, if you want peace and quiet (which I did), the house is located on a very quiet street with very little traffic!

Wish we could have stayed longer!

What an amazing experience for our family! Stayed at the lake house for a mini family reunion. The home was spacious and not lacking anything. Having a cut of coffee overlooking the lake, lounging on the dock with a glass or wine, stargazing at the fire or catching fish from the dock are all memories we will cherish. Location was good even though it was at the top of the north end. Wolfys restaurant nearby had a fun vibe and Seneca Falls had a few nice places to dine. Thank you for the memories!

Great, but we worried about not enough toilet paper, and no sponge for kitchen.

Fire alarm went off in kitchen for no reason. No shampoo or conditioner or sosp in shower, when you say toiletries. Couldn't find foosball ball. We love the place and ambiance though. Wonderful stay and do again.now thst

Relaxing

My friends and I absolutely loved sitting outside on the deck (minus the spiders). It was so relaxing sitting to watch the sunrise while we had breakfast and coffee. We enjoyed using the kayaks. The location was perfect for us to explore the area. It was a little off putting to have to pay a cleaning fee, while being asked to strip the beds, start a load of laundry and sweep/vacuum the house.If being asked to clean, why pay the fee? I would consider staying again due to the location and lake view.

NIce view and great property

We stayed for a weekend at the property after Labor Day. The property was in great condition and looks great. The deck and second floor offered great views of Cayuga Lake. The property description seemed accurate. It is located near the north end of the lake which is relatively shallow. The dock had two watercraft on hoists which limited the use of one side of the dock. A few quirks tho, - no wash clothes for the bathrooms , no dishwasher machine detergent, living room fan lights not working, kitchen sink is a single basin and dish drying rack on counter drains onto countertop. The two twin beds were too short for our 6 foot+ sons to sleep in, probably more for kids.

Fun Time on the lake

Great location! Perfect spot to enjoy spending time on the lake. We visited wineries, breweries, and Dairy farms. It was nice to come back after the day and sit on the deck enjoying the view of the lake. If we could suggest one thing ... it would be to replace the game table with a large table and chairs to play games, etc ... and still be able to enjoy the view. We would love to come back to this property. Thank you!

The Perfect get away

If you want to enjoy the time kayaking and hanging out by the dock this is a great property. We also toured wineries, breweries and distillery. We prepared all our meals. Kitchen is large and was easy to accommodate many cooks. We suggest bring a couple of non stick pans. (We did). Bug spray in the evening is a must. The bugs get crazy. Overall we had a great time, and would love to return to this property. It checked off all the boxes.

Spectacular views!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The views from all areas of the home are beautiful day and night! The interior of the house is very clean, comfortable and spacious. The property also has plenty of kayaks and a paddle board that are in great condition. We enjoyed lots of time on the water. We would suggest bug spray for the evenings. Overall, wonderful stay and great location for families!

Great location, right on the lake!

We had a great stay at this Seneca Falls property. The location of the house was wonderful, right on the lake with amazing views from the outdoor deck. The house was well stocked and had everything that we needed, including kitchen supplies, towels, sheets, etc. There were also kayaks, a paddle board, brand new grill, and fire pit which made the stay even more enjoyable. The house does not have central A/C, so it did get a bit hot, particularly during the daytime. There were plenty of fans and two of the three bedrooms are located downstairs which helped a bit. We did try to keep the windows open for circulation, but had to close them once it got dark to keep the bugs away - definitely glad we brought bug spray as there were lots of mosquitoes in this area. Overall, a great stay on a wonderful lake.

Cayuga Lake Rental

Pros: Excellent location, beautiful views, kayaks and other outdoor equipment are all very well-maintained and easy to use. Property manager was easy to get ahold of and very helpful. Cons: This property has no central air, and daytime temps inside are quite uncomfortable (upwards of 90*). The ceiling fans only work on low, though they do have standing fans that can be moved around as needed. Tip: If you're bringing kids, make sure you have life preservers for them (they only have adult sizes available). Would love to visit again during a cooler time of year!
