Welcome to beautiful waterfront living in this spectacular lakefront property. Nestled on 205' of sandy beach on the shores of Rebecca Lake, this post and beam cottage is the vacationer's paradise. A 1,300 SF of living space boasts 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 NEWLY renovated bathrooms with central air to keep you cool in summer and central heating for those cozy winter nights. Enjoy the privacy of this 1.5 acre lot while remaining in proximity to the town of Huntsville and all its amenities.

Arrive by the private roadway, maintained year-round, to the peaceful backdrop of the woodland surrounding this northern oasis. Stepping inside, you are welcomed by fine finishes, cathedral ceilings and traditional hardwood and ceramic tile flooring throughout. Master culinary creations in the beautifully updated kitchen. Expansive granite counter tops ease meal preparations while honey-toned cabinetry provides ample storage space. Guests can enjoy appetizers at the breakfast bar while indulging in conversation.

Included in the rental are a canoe, kayak, three paddle boards / SUP, outdoor games, basketball net, trampoline and lots more!

After dinner, unwind while sinking into the pages of a good book in the living room next to the soothing warmth of a wood burning stone fireplace or relax in our hot tub. Large windows offer a picturesque view of the lake.
A main floor laundry room adds convenience to daily routines.

After a productive day retreat to the master bedroom to find rest and rejuvenation. Two additional bedrooms are perfect for family or guests. Outside, retreat to the summer gazebo for refreshing summer shade or take in the beauty of this location. Watch the wildlife of Rebecca Lake from the end of the 60' dock.

Boasting clear, quality waters, Rebecca Lake is among the last of the pristine lakes in Muskoka, with excellent bass and trout fishing. Enjoy proximity to year-round activities.

We have one security Camera facing the front of the house/parking space that will be on during the guests' stay.

Located 20 minutes from Huntsville.

Friends weekend

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at this gem on Lake Rebecca! The atmosphere at the cottage was stunning and the fire in the fireplace made it even more cosy. The hot tub after an active day in Arrowhead Park war relaxing and fun. Moosi was the highlight of the light flooded huge open space.we loved it a lot! Thank you Effie

A great place to relax

Wanted a few days in a nice cottage in a good location with good amenities and I am happy we chose Moosehead Lodge as it met all of these requirements and made for a great 3 day stay with family. Amazing cottage

The cottage was very spacious and clean. All the appliances you’d need. The decor was perfect. We had a lovely time in the kayaks and on the deck. The property has many features for activities like the small basketball court, golf, badminton. The surroundings are breathtaking. Communication with hostess was flawless.

Perfect week

Every possible recreation possibility from the sandy, shallow swimming to soccer net, putting green, basketball court and wide variety of water craft. Very private site, spacious interior. Well stocked kitchen. The owner is remarkably prompt to reply and very helpful. Highly recommend it!

Just a Perfect Property!!

My family of four, including our teenage boys (16/14) spent the Victoria Day Weekend at Effie's and EVERYTHING was top-notch. We were looking for a relaxing weekend in Cottage country where he had plenty of space and plenty of amenities. This cottage had it all. Spotless, comfortable, designed with family comfort in mind. Communicating with Effie was immediate, she had an answer for everything. It was a cold rainy weekend, but the hot tub was awesome, we made use of both the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit. Beautiful dock. My wife ripped through a book in the netted gazebo in front of the gas fire. She could have been there all weekend. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen and den were wonderful. We had everything we needed. We will return!!

A True Muskoka Cottage Experience w Modern Comforts! Hot Tub! AC! D/W! Wet Bar! Large Dock!Lily Pad!

Our family w 2 adult kids (21, 22) & their friend had a wonderful time! Will definitely LOVE to book Effie’s cottage again! Great host! Clean,quiet lake. Fresh air. So many activities available: hot tub!! Basketball net ≠w b-ball, a net for badminton/volleyball; badminton racquets/ shuttlecocks, soccer ball. Trampoline needs TLC. Stayed during heat wave 40C & the central air-conditioning kept us cool & comfortable! Very clean & beautifully decorated with charming “old Muskoka style” cottage ambience. Older cottage but functional & well-maintained. Modern, clean bathrooms. Fully stocked wet bar area next to open kitchen(Nespresso Breville coffee station w starter pods, tea kettle w starter tea bags, regular coffeemaker w some ground coffee, wine fridge, 2 bar fridges, wine glasses, shaker). Supplied us w/ Perrier lime water, bottled water. Kitchen had everything you need to make all types of meals/smoothies. Food compost & recycling if you choose. Stocked w Ziploc bags, olive oil, spices, dishwasher detergent, Dishrack, etc. Full Fridge/freezer side by side. Comfy beds w good lighting. Loved the Feather / down cushions/ pillows/duvets. Primary bed was a bit squeaky but not obtrusive. Loft bedroom above kitchen great views- warmer up there. Water supply from lake is UV-filtered but we brought 5L water container (filled) for washing any fresh produce to be eaten raw(sensitive tummies).Could use Bdrm clothes hooks. Hiking 9min.@Limberlost Forest Solitaire Lake; Ragged Falls!

Beautiful, we’ll kept property. Owners were quick to respond when trying to reach.

The wood burning fireplace and hot tub alone were well worth the stay. Definitely a great stay and would recommend!

A PERFECT OASIS

This was a family vacation that included 3 generations. The property is incredible. It is like staying at your own personal mini resort with so many varying spots for fun and activities for all ages. The cottage was immaculate when we arrived. The beds, bedding, pillows, furniture are all super comfortable. The owner, Effie was attentive and responded right away with any questions we had. The lot offers complete privacy. If we could give this special location 10 stars we would. We loved our time here and were all so sad when we had to leave. Highly recommend this very special spot.

Perfect spot

What a perfect place for a stress-free family vacation. This cottage was comfortable and clean, on a quiet, shallow lake. We spent a week there with our kids (ages 10, 13 and 15) and there was so much to do -- hot tub, trampoline, basketball, badminton, 3 kayaks and 3 stand-up paddleboards. We also took a half-day trip to drive a short distance to see Ragged Falls, (ranked one of the 10 best waterfalls in Ontario) and we got some great pictures. Effie checked in frequently - great communication. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us!

Cozy and scenic

We stayed here oct 5-9 2020 group of friends all in our 50s . Fantastic time. 3 equally nice bedrooms with comfortable beds ,linens were new , duvets warm and light. No hooks for hanging clothes- I think this is the Only thing that was not ok about this place 😀 !There is 4th bedroom-loft one -very nice as well if someone doesn’t mind climbing up the ladder. Cottage has 2 firepits (one inside gazebo) clean hot tub (6 of us managed to sit there-a bit tight but ok) Forest and lake all around in every window! We are SO coming back here!Lovely !

Fantastic cottage with all the comforts of home–and then some!

The cottage is exactly as pictured. - Very clean - High-end, comfortable mattresses and linens - Well-stocked kitchen with many staple items already in the pantry - Excellent view - Picturesque, quiet lake - Relaxing hottub - Ample activities available: kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, canoe, badminton net, basketball court, horseshoes - Relatively accessible for guests with mobility issues. There is one big step up at the front door as well as down from the back deck, but the interior is step-free and the backyard slopes gently down to the dock - Terrific host. Effie responded to our questions promptly and cheerfully. We highly recommend this cottage and look forward to renting again.
