Absolutely fabulous home. Every detail was wonderful. Lots of space and the location is perfect! Easy walk to Main Street. The outdoor fireplace was a big hit! Highland recreation center across street for tennis, pickleball and swimming. Highly recommend this property!

We had an amazing stay at Lulla water. It is a beautiful home and impeccably clean. It had the perfect number of bedrooms for our family. You also can walk to town, which we enjoyed!

Great Property

Beautiful property with lots of extras. Indoor wood burning fireplace was amazing! That's where we spent most of the time while in the house. Outdoor fireplace as well. Great kitchen and master BR. Close to town. Host was always reachable.

Fantastic getaway

Lullwater House was everything and more we expected when we discovered it on VRBO. The home is comfortable and elegant, the environment of the Highlands is beautiful and engaging and the town is wonderfully low key but offers upscale amenities. A very special place.

Magnificent Lullwater

This place was magnificent! A beautiful, professionally decorated home with lots of room, and situated on grounds that are breathtaking - PLUS walking distance into town! We had a family reunion and this was the perfect place. Hired a photographer to come and she had so much to work with on this gorgeous property.

Highlands 2024

Lullwater is a beautiful, and beautifully decorated, home in a great location in Highlands. It also is very efficiently equipped and in immaculate condition. Perfect for a large family. This is the second time that our family has stayed there.

July 4th in the Smokey Mountains

We took our family on our first family vacation to stay at the beautiful Lullwater House in Highlands North Carolina. The house is even more beautiful than the photos show. Bee & Marlene were a pleasure to work with. We would recommend this house to anyone looking for a family or couples getaway. The house has everything you need and the town is super close. Not to mention the proximity to the rec center for daily activities to keep the little ones entertained.

Fantastic Home

Our family went for a week, 4 adult couples and 2 infants. The house was perfect for us, each couple had a spacious room with their own bath with a nice living room for tv and a fireplace. The kitchen had every appliance you could want and plenty of game options for the family. The house is about a 5 minute walk from downtown which was great for the adults and kids. It’s close to the nature center and plenty of hiking trails. It also has an outdoor fireplace which we enjoyed on a couple of occasions. It’s a special place, we had a wonderful stay.

Beautiful Home

We had 2 families with 4 children (8-12) in the home and it was perfect. The home is absolutely stunning, comfortable, warm, laid out perfectly, etc. We loved and utilized all the fireplaces. The kitchen was well equipped for anything we needed. All the beds, sheets and towels were in great shape and super comfortable. The grounds on the property are perfect for all ages. The house manger was super responsive and the book of recommendations was very helpful. Very close to town. We will definitely stay here again!

My goodness, I don't know where to begin! We stayed in Highlands, NC for the August 21, 2017 eclipse at Lullwater and had a blast!! Lullwater accommodated our party of six, including a five year old, just perfectly!! Gorgeous home and grounds. Comfortable elegance that felt like "home". The owners are lovely to work with and were so very helpful with all of our inquiries and requests. I'm looking forward to returning soon!!

Luxury Highlands Home

We were fortunate enough to spend a long weekend in the Lullwater Estate for our daughter’s wedding weekend. It is truly a gem that is located were close to Main Street. The home is absolutely gorgeous! Each room is well appointed and lacks for nothing! Every detail you can imagine is addressed with perfection. From comfortable bedding, to classic style of furniture, we do not have one complaint. While we did not use the outdoor spaces due to weather, each porch and fire place area is well appointed and furnished. I would absolutely recommend the Lullwater Estate.

wonderful house in Highlands

We booked this house as we wanted something to sleep all of us for our daughter's wedding and also be walking distance to town. 0.3mi to town and we walked everywhere all week. The house is beautiful and full of character with plenty of room for a large group. We LOVED the outdoor fireplace and spent almost every evening outside spending time together. (yes, we could have a fire in JULY) I cannot say enough great things about this house! The owner was so nice and helpful as well!!

Extraordinary property for a special event.

We were celebrating a 70th birthday (pandemic-delayed) and a retirement. Parents, two daughters and sons-in-law, and three toddler/infant grandsons. Our expectations for this property were exceeded extraordinarily. The house interior and accommodations are first class, as sophisticated as depicted in the photos. The grounds are stupendous – your own elegant park. Grandpa taught 3-year old how to fish (sorta kinda) on the property pond. S'mores around the fire. The house is the perfect distance from town; a short walk, while set quietly apart. A great juice bar literally around the corner. We've done a number of VRBOs, but this one sets the bar!

A Perfect 10!!

We (10 of us spanning from 13-88) spent three nights at this gracious and absolutely stunning home right before Christmas. My 13 year old daughter brought a friend and the two of them shared the delightful bunk room, rode bikes, did puzzles, played hide and seek and almost exclusively stayed off of electronics, a true Christmas miracle!!. We dined out a few of times (Madison's, Four65 and Los Vaqueros, all great) and picked up lunch from Highlands Smokehouse, but mostly cooked in the very well stocked cozy kitchen. We read, did puzzles, played games and most importantly spent time together in this beautiful home. It was so wonderful we all hated to leave. Marlene was extremely responsive and helpful and everything went perfectly. I not only recommend, but am going so far as to reserve again!! We had spent many years at the Old Edwards Inn which we loved, but I hope we have found a new tradition!! Can not recommend enough!

We are a family of four from Florida who fell in love with Highlands in 2015 and visited several times. We Had to evacuate Florida during a hurricane, and had the opportunity to stay in Lullwater for a week. When the owners decided to sell, we jumped at the opportunity!

Built in 2000 and meticulously maintained, Lullwater House offers all the amenities you would expect from a luxury estate home. Six well-appointed bedrooms with top of the line mattresses, luxe linens and updated bathrooms. The bunk room sleeps up to 12 and is located off the kitchen, above the garage with a smart TV and X-box gaming system.
