We’d love to welcome you to The Cabin. Our Cabin apartment offers luxury accommodation with spectacular views of The Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu. Nestled in the forest at the base of Ben Lomond, the charm of a stone cabin & log burning fireplace meets modern facilities in a panorama of natural beauty. Ideal for a couple wishing to enjoy the unique attractions of Queenstown or looking for a relaxing holiday.

Great location

The Cabin was ideal for two people, small but perfectly located. It had everything we needed for our 5 night stay and the views were stunning.

A Perfect Place to Unwind

Stayed in the cabin for a quick three days and thoroughly enjoyed it. The view is spectacular, easy access to Queenstown centre yet far enough away to be perfectly quiet.The cabin itself is very well appointed and provided a comfortable place to wind down after a day of exploring. Both of us enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.

Wow! What a stay

We came for a long weekend getaway and our accommodation was everything it said it was and more. This place is fabulous and we highly recommend it to anyone wanting a romantic getaway or some time to simple relax and enjoy each others company. This was the prefect spot for a couple to stay in Queenstown. Far enough outside the city to be quiet, close enough that it was a 5 minute drive. The views from the kitchen and deck are spectacular and has all the features for a comfortable, stress free stay.

Queenstown NZ Retreat

Overlooking Lake Wakatipu, this property offers a spectacular lake view and a wonderful sunrise over The Remarkables (mountains). The property is comfortable and well appointed with easy access to the town center. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean and cozy

Great little place near the center of Queenstown - very easy to get an Uber. Loved using the hot tub at night. Great views of the lake and mountains. Definitely recommend!

The Perfect Queenstown Getaway

To put it simply, what you see is what you get! Cannot thank Melanie & Calvin enough for their hospitality + service, quick responses and amazing location/setup. My partner and I were there for 8 amazing nights and the view never ceased to amaze! Rain or shine, this Queenstown cabin is the perfect ideal location for a cozy retreat. Cannot wait to be back!

Perfect rustic comfort

We had a really lovely time at the Cabin. It has so much rustic charm and character combined with the most modern comforts. We were so comfortable and well looked after, great easy communication and we had everything we needed. No details spared. The loft bedroom was so cozy, especially after we got the fire going and the absolute highlight was the hot tub. Lying in the warm water looking up at the stars after some busy days in Queenstown was so nice. Thanks so much!

Perfect view and quiet

As we drove through Queenstown we got a bit worried that we were too far from the downtown. It is maybe a 5 minute drive up a big hill that ends with a breathtaking view and delightful cabin. We loved the location. A little store nearby that had everything we needed to make meals in along with a fish and chips spot and light lunch place. Melanie greeted us with a bottle of wine, always a nice touch, and coffee, milk and sugar for the mornings. The place is even better than the photos, small and cozy but room enough for the two of us to sit back and relax. We especially enjoyed the shampoos and body washes, Ashley & Co. Very lovely , would definitely stay there again. -Melisa and Rob

Comfortable, clean plus a view!

The cabin was cozy and well equipped - everything in the kitchen was high quality as was the bedding. We realized the leather sofa also reclines! We were so comfortable here. We enjoyed the cedar hot tub on the deck, the views of the lake and getting to say hello briefly to the hosts two dogs. Would highly recommend this spot when you’re in Queenstown! A short drive to downtown or you can Uber/taxi to avoid the hassle of parking. Could totally walk to town if you have the time and ambition to do it.

Cozy Queenstown base camp

The Cabin was a comfortable, cozy retreat, perfect for a couple. We stayed two weeks and enjoyed coming home here every evening after a day of hiking and exploring. The views were outstanding; some of my favorite photos from the hundreds I took on the trip are from the front deck. We especially appreciated the efficient use of space throughout (I discovered the hidden cabinets in the bedroom a few days in and was so pleased!) All the amenities were top notch, from the dishes and glassware to the barbecue grill, which worked great. The rustic design and decor was unique and interesting. Loved the hot tub as well (so much so that we made a point to take two soaks on our last day). The Fernhill neighborhood is peaceful and beautiful, and we appreciated having a private location away from the busy town center. Host was very kind and responsive via email; I only regret not getting a chance to pet their two adorable pups. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone staying in Queenstown.

Wonderful stay, the hut is exactly as described and perfect for a couple with plenty of privacy.Easy access to bus into and from town and we walked into town a couple of days (but did not walk back up the hills from town!).Our hosts offered a late checkout when requested which really helped on the day. Our hosts were wonderfull and checked in on the email to ensure we were comfortable.Highly recommend

What a dream!

Absolutely STUNNING! We enjoyed ourselves immensely!!! I feel as if the owner may have OCD as I do because there was not 1 thing we could think of that we needed that the cabin didn't already have! So in saying that, huge compliments in the way the cabin was put together!!! Every single thing had been thought of, I mean everything! Where do we start? The location - Stunning, the views - Stunning, the cabin - Stunning, the bed - Stunning, the fireplace - Stunning, the hot tub - Stunning, kitchen/bathroom/loungeroom all, you guessed it, STUNNING! What a treat! Thank you so so soooo much for everything! It was a beautiful week for my partner and I celebrating his 30th Birthday. Will never forget! Thanks again! A&D

Fantastic place to stay

Perfect home for 2 people. The home has a modern fully equipped kitchen , great living area with wood burning fire place, very comfortable bed in the loft bedroom and views to die for. The personal outdoor Jacuzzi was a big plus after a hard day of skiing. I would highly recommend this home and we will definitely stay there again whenever we are in Queenstown.

Facilities – The Cabin is a self-contained one bedroom, one bathroom apartment with full kitchen, and open plan lounge area offering luxury accommodation in a beautiful relaxing setting.

Stay warm and cozy in front of the log-burning fireplace or turn on the heat pump/air conditioner for instant warmth. The full kitchen includes fridge, dishwasher, oven, gas hob, microwave and coffee machine. The open plan lounge includes a comfy sofa, dining table for two and smart TV including Netflix and unlimited Wi-Fi.

The loft bedroom has high quality linen. Lay back and look at the stars through the roof top window or close the blind for complete privacy. The separate bathroom includes a washing machine and condenser dryer.

Step outside onto the private deck and enjoy a glass of wine by the fire pit as you soak up the views. Relax in the 2 person cedar oval hot tub. During the winter months, July to October ask about using the private sauna.

Location – The Cabin is nestled in the forest at the base of Ben Lomond. You’ll find it at the end of a private laneway in the local suburb of Fernhill, sharing a driveway with a private home. Just a short 9-minute drive into Queenstown and only 23-minute drive from the airport.
