Designed for families that want a coastal inspired vacation home with comfortable amenities and a convenient seaside location. Beaulieu-Sur-Duck is bright and inviting inside with four bedrooms and three updated baths. Two of the bedrooms are master suites with private baths. The great room and kitchen have a cathedral ceiling with windows looking out to the ocean. In the off season, curl up with a book next to the gas fireplace. Enjoy ocean views from the deck and great room, as well as from the dune seating on the private walkway. The wide sandy beaches are only steps away, down a direct ocean access shared boardwalk.

The home has wonderful, easily accessed walkways, as well as a paved bike path that leads straight to the heart of Duck Village. Beaulieu-Sur-Duck is within walking distance of the sound and businesses that provide bike, kayak and SUP rentals. Visit the Sanderling Resort for some 5-star dining or a spectacular spa day. Additionally, this home is just a short distance from the Sanderling Community Health and Racquet Club, where guests can enjoy, free of charge, use of the beautiful sound front pool, lounge chairs and kiddie pool. Venture to the private soundside dock for spectacular sunsets. Also available, for a fee, is use of the Sanderling Community tennis courts.

Amenities include upgraded linens with beds made prior to your arrival, pet friendly, keyless entry, wireless internet access, community pool, cable tv, gas fired water heater with unlimited hot water on demand, outdoor shower and charcoal grill.

We've been staying at the OBX every year and this place definitely raised the bar for all future trips. The house was freshly remodeled and had all the amenities anyone could ask for. The location was key! We were steps to the beach which made it so easy for our little ones. The house was so clean which I appreciated since it was a dog friendly property. This property will not disappoint!

Ok, but

The house was ok, but the charcoal grill was filthy & rusty. I spent over 15 minutes trying to get it clean. My wife wanted to know if it was ok to cook on. Not your issue but the weather was nice good.

Small details made the difference like super comfortable beds, beach accessories like chairs, umbrella and boogie boards, and the views to the ocean. We also love the Sanderling community for the trails and being so family friendly. We rented bikes so we could use the paths all around Duck. This home was freshly updated and it shows. There were a couple of minor issues but so minor it isn't worth mentioning because stuff happens! We left some puzzles behind to add to their collection at the home and we will be back for a future stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed Beaulieu-Sur-Duck - the best part is the nice deck off the kitchen/living room which provides a wonderful ocean breeze. The walkway to the beach was much appreciated. The house was clean and we were able to get in early which was so helpful with our two dogs and loaded up car. The office staff was very courteous, responsive, and helpful. We love Sanderling-it's the gem of the OBX. We were so sorry that the nature trails don't allow bikes as that has been a 25 year pre-dinner tradition in our families. Blue Point has been our end of week tradition for many years. Our only regret was not having a half bath on the main floor.

Not Worth the Cost

Reviewer Comments: We were very disappointed in the condition of the kitchen appliances, pots and pans, the size of the refrigerator, the lack of a toaster over and the lack of a bathroom on the main floor. Especially given how much we paid for this house, we expected more top of the line equipment. Seating on the deck was totally inadequate. We paid more than twice as much as friend paid for a 5 bedroom well-equipped house. While they were a bit further from the beach and dogs weren't allowed I don't think the price of our house was nearly worth it.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beaulieu sur Duck is a nice home with great beach access. The bedrooms are of average size. The main living space which takes up the entire top floor from where the ocean is visible is nice and bright. The house definitely shoes its wear even with the updated bathrooms. Some of the bedsing is torn and some of the bedsheets had stains that seem permanent (the latter more attributable to the linen service).The kitchen was fairly well equipped but multiple glasses had chips or were cracked. The faucet was finicky and required repeated attention to not keep dripping. Easily fixable items...One of the beds was missing a top sheet. The management firm was very courteous and promised to let the linen service know. However even after a 2nd request, we never received the sheet.

Its location within the Sanderling area is beautiful and the home was perfect for close proximity to walks on the beach. We brought our small dog and the yard/lot of this home was so nice to take outside. As well, the neighborhood has interconnecting trails throughout if you like to walk/jog in the mornings.

It is looking a little tired and in need of some TLC (fridge definitely needs replacing) but otherwise a great place to stay with easy access to the beach. It was perfect size for our party of 4 adults but may be squeeze for a larger group given there is only one single lounge area and no games room. For us, it wasn't an issue. It was exactly as advertised, but could be a squeeze for a larger group. View from the deck was fantastic both in the morning and to watch the starry skies at night. If it got a refresh we'd book again in a heartbeat!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the house is amazing! Very easy walk to the beach and easy drive to downtown Duck (minus the traffic). The house itself is as advertised. Unfortunately, there are no basic condiments but that’s as told to us prior so we were able to pack everything we needed from home. I wish we knew there was a Nespresso machine and some beach furniture. Also there’s a charcoal grill and not a gas grill as advertised. The realty group is easy to work with and has great communication! We can’t wait to come back to the outer banks!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was modest, but it fulfilled our needs. The cleaning staff did a great job in preparation for our arrival. Everything was clean and in order. The bathrooms were tiny, but looked recently updated. The kitchen was stocked with glasses, dishes, pots, pans, and small applicances. The top part of the microwave was missing, and the AC went out, but the microwave was useable and they sent someone to fix the AC. While we probably won't go back to his particular house, we would definitely use this rental company again. They were responsive and made expectations crystal clear.

Reviewer Comments: Little things not provided that have always been provided at all previous rental properties: hair dryer, salt/pepper,etc. Living room furniture is NOT comfortable. Huge overstuffed chairs should have been love seats to allow more seating. Some members of our family of 6 had to either sit on the floor or on an ottoman to watch a movie. Padding on deck lounge chairs stayed wet and unusable the entire week. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were extremely happy with this house and the proximity to the beach is great. There are two walkways to the beach which makes it super convenient. This was our first time staying in the Sanderling community and it was beautiful and so quiet and peaceful. The house is very clean and nicely updated - especially the bathrooms which look brand new. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the dishes, utensils, pots and pans you could ever need. We also appreciated that beach umbrellas are provided. The outdoor deck furniture needed to be cleaned due to midges but we understand this is unavoidable. We still enjoyed sitting on the upper deck each morning taking in the gorgeous ocean views!

Cute House, Great Location to Beach

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent a week at this property with 5 adults, 1 child, and 2 dogs. The house was clean inside and overall comfortable. The largest bedroom had a nice bed and no complaints from the other guests either. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils, decent pans, and appliances. The private walkway to the beach is nice but a bit overgrown because there are no stairs and you walk right through the tall grass (while avoiding banana spider webs) down a sloped sandy area (there is a rope to use on the way back up). We ended up taking the public access which was equally convenient but has stairs. The only "issue" we had was the deck area given it was midge season everything was covered with dead bugs and cobwebs and we reached out to the management company to clean the areas so we could sit out but that didn't happen while we were there to an acceptable level.
