Things you need to know prior to booking:
Rents Sat - Sat only during high season (end of June - start of Sept)
Sleeps 6 people (max 4 adults).
Dogs welcome (sorry, no cats).
Please note that, according to the municipality's bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free.
Pillows, duvets, towels and linens are included. A post-rental cleaning service is provided, but the property is to be left in a tidy condition (in accordance with the departure checklist provided).
No parties or events. Lead guest must be 30+ years of age.
Whispering Waters is a great little cottage on the eastern shores of Cameron Lake just minutes from downtown Fenelon Falls. This is a perfect property for a family looking to get away, while not breaking the bank. With beautiful westerly views across Cameron Lake and the best seat in the house for breathtaking sunsets this is the property for you.
On a quiet dead-end road, you will find Whispering Waters situated in a small enclave of properties close to the old ‘Victoria Rail Trail’ that also forms the main B103 snowmobile trail in the winter. With great access for hikers and snowmobilers alike, if you are taking a break from the lake then this is great to have so close.
There is a nice lawn and garden on the lake-side of the property with a small deck and landscaped waterfront. On the rear is a larger lawn with the outdoor dining and BBQ area for those cottage buffets.
Inside the property, the kitchen, dining and living rooms are in an open plan concept that wrap around the property. The 2 bedrooms on the lakeside have great views as you rise from your comfortable slumber. The Master has a double bed. The other bedroom has two single beds. This arrangement combined with a pull out futon in the living room makes this property very flexible for different group compositions.
Linens are included with the property and you will find everything to be new and comfortable. Also included with the property is a smart TV with satellite package and unlimited wireless internet to help while away a few hours if the weather outside is not great or if you just need a break from the beautifully hot sun. During the winter months you can be sure to be snug and warm with the electric fireplace.

Waterfront There is a small grassy yard between the property and the waterfront. The waterfront is landscaped with giant flag stones and the wall has smaller rocks at its base. The main entry into the water is to the right-hand side where the grass leads down to 2 flagstone steps that step down into the water where there is hard-packed sand underfoot.
Trivia Cameron Lake, Ontario is one of the Kawartha Lakes and is a lake bordering the town of Fenelon Falls and is part of the Trent-Severn Waterway. The lake is some 6.7 kilometres long by 3.5 kilometres wide and is quite deep, reaching 15 metres in places. The lake occupies the area between locks 33 & 34 on the Trent-Severn Waterway.
Much of the side of the lake is taken up with housing and is a popular place to live. The town of Fenelon Falls is found between Sturgeon Lake and Cameron Lake. The lake is popular with boaters and fisherman. Fish found in the lake include, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye (pickerel) and muskie (occasionally tiger muskellunge).
In the lake are found the Lakers Islands (aka Boyd and Rathbun Islands). Cameron Lake is not eutrophic because it has a high flushing rate which counteracts its high phosphorus loading. (Source - Wikipedia)
