Wi-Fi: Wi-fi is offered as a complimentary extra. As there is no charge, issues will be dealt with Asap but cannot be guaranteed.
Pets: Pets are welcome at The Nook with a $100 surcharge (for up to 3 pets max). This surcharge may vary depending on the length of the stay. The rear yard is fully fenced. BYO bedding for your pet. Refer to the Pet Clause in our Terms and Conditions.
If you bring a pet, a surcharge will be added after the booking is placed.
Security Camera: This property has an external security camera located on the front porch facing the pathways and steps up to the porch.
Firewood: Enough wood will be supplied for the fireplace/slow combustion wood heater for the first two nights. After that, guests must purchase top-up wood and kindling from the local petrol stations at their own cost.
Notes Privacy: This property is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence and there are no shared rooms. Enjoy your time in comfort and privacy.
Terms and Conditions: Detailed terms and conditions apply for this property and payment warrants your agreement and that of all other guests staying at the property with you. Please share the terms and conditions with your other guests.
Check-in and -out Times: During the busy months of December and January, the check-in time is 4 pm to facilitate peak back-to-back changeovers. Our standard check-in time is 3 pm and check-out time is 10 am. We offer a complimentary early check-in or late check-out time as a gesture of goodwill where booking and housekeeping schedules allow. Note that due to demand and housekeeping pressures, no early check-ins or late check-outs will be granted during the months of December and January. The safest way to secure an early check-in or later check-out is to book the property for an extra night. Contact us for a special rate for this extra night. All Sunday late check outs must be requested and approved prior to 5 pm on the Friday evening prior. All complimentary early check-ins or late check-outs must be confirmed in writing so that our housekeeping team are informed accordingly.
Guest Registration: Guest registration is mandatory for all bookings and replaces the need for a cash bond for short term bookings (up to 20 nights). It is essential for fraud prevention, damage claims, safety, and emergency purposes. The process varies depending on the online travel agent used. Direct bookings require the booker to upload a copy of their driver’s licence and credit card through our encrypted online process.
Additional Guests: The guest limits apply at all times during the booking. Any extra guests (this includes day visitors) above those that have been booked and paid for must be approved in writing prior to the stay. Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission. This is not possible at all properties.
No Extras: This property is approved for accommodation only. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. Under no circumstances are the following activities permitted at any of our properties: motorbikes, dirt bikes, quad bikes, use of firearms or air rifles, fireworks.
EV Charging: For safety reasons and to comply with insurance requirements, guests are prohibited from charging electric vehicles at any property that does not have a dedicated EV charging station. Charging electric vehicles without proper infrastructure poses a fire hazard, and in the unfortunate event of an incident, insurance cover may be compromised, and the guest held liable. If in doubt, ask our team for the closest EV charging station.
Long Stay Discounts: Some of our properties are well suited to longer stays. For bookings of 30 nights or more, we may be able to offer a reduced rate compared to what’s advertised. Please feel free to get in touch with our team with your preferred dates, and we’ll be happy to look at the best available rate for you.

For medium-term bookings (21-40 nights) and long-term bookings (41-90 nights), a non-negotiable cash security deposit is required. This deposit is refunded after the departure inspection, with any damage or loss deducted. The minimum cash deposit is $2000, with higher amounts for larger or more expensive properties, or at the owner’s/manager’s discretion.
Peace of Mind: For your added security we will never request payments be made to an overseas bank account and your money is held by us and not disbursed until after your departure.

Lovely, clean home in a quiet street close to town centre. All necessities provided, very comfortable furnishings and lovely outdoor seating area. Very cosy and comfortable bedding. A nice touch to arrive to a heated home on a cool winter afternoon. Check in time was a little too late at 4pm though.

It was in a very convenient location and was great for walking the Cherry tree walk . The house was lovely and had all conveniences and goods working and clean. I loved the outdoor space and garden was perfect on the hot days for respite in the cool under the shaded seating area . We had a relaxing and very happy time .Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us dear Les. We’re committed to transparency and continuous improvement and appreciate the opportunity to address the issues you encountered during your stay. We’ve taken your comments seriously and have already made improvements based on your previous personal feedback which was signed from 'grumpy old man'. Here’s how we’ve addressed each concern:
Flyscreens: We explained the purpose of the small gaps at the bottom of the flyscreens to you, which allow window winders to function and that we do not generally encounter mosquitos in Bowral in Autumn. However, we appreciate you advising your sensitivity to mosquitos and your resourcefulness in sealing the gaps with tape during your stay. This has never been reported as a problem before, but now that it has we have briefed a handyman to look at how the gaps can be sealed permanently without preventing the windows from being opened.
Toilet Bugs: While the bathroom flyscreen is intact and there was no evidence of insects on departure, we suspect some insects got in whilst doors were open or before you taped the small gaps on the flyscreens in the living area. We’ll remain vigilant to ensure a bug-free experience for future guests.
Salt Grinder: We promptly replaced the faulty salt grinder after your notification, ensuring a new one in perfect working order was at the property in time for the next guest.
Whilst we are disheartened with a heavy-handed one-star rating it was still great to hear that you found the beds comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped and that you enjoyed your stay and always 'look for and fix issues' wherever you stay. We hope future guests consider the overall positive experiences shared below by others when evaluating The Nook. Once again, we enjoyed our friendly chat and appreciate your valuable insights.
