Sea Horse is a spacious side-by-side duplex villa located just 75 yards from the ocean, offering partial ocean and sound views from its second and third-level decks. Designed for relaxed coastal living, this 2-bedroom retreat comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests with a king master suite with a private bath and a queen bedroom that shares a bath with hallway bunks.

The upper living level features a bright, open-concept layout with comfortable seating, dining space, a fully stocked kitchen, and a convenient half bath. An oceanside deck extends the living space outdoors, creating the perfect spot to unwind after a day in the sun.

Guests have access to resort amenities, including a pool and spa, fish cleaning stations, private under-house entry, private parking, and outdoor hot and cold showers. Starter essentials like paper towels and toilet paper are provided to help you settle in with ease. Sea Horse is the ideal home base for your Hatteras Island getaway.

The kitchen only had paper towels and coffee filters. The coffee maker ran over making a mess the first 2 mornings. We got a replacement after 2nd mess. The bathroom we used had only 1 hand towel and tiny soap slivers to bathe with. We were expected to make our own beds upon arrival. The sheets were scratchy and the beds agonizing. After waking up in pain 3 mornings we left 2 days early. The beach was non existent not due to the property’s fault but they could have notified us that we wouldn’t be enjoying a beach vacation.

Very Enjoyable

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The property was very clean!! It made me a little nervous to receive the detailed information just prior to arriving (as I was driving and I didn't arrive until it was dark outside), but it all worked out.

Nice place close to beach.

It was also quiet after 10 pm so nice if you’re traveling with kids. The cottage we stayed had items that were not up kept. The bathroom floor had a rotted area you could not step on. There was a hole in the wall by kitchen. And we did have a cockroach crawling on our ceiling.

Our 2 level cottage gave us plenty of room to spread out and we were only a few steps to the beautiful beach. The cottage was extremely clean and the AC was right on point after a day in the sun. The close location to nearby CH lighthouse and restaurants also a big plus! Was nice to be in a more private setting but Avon with fishing pier and more restaurants/shops only 10 min drive away.

Glad we rescheduled instead of cancelled!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family rented Seahorse 2, a suite and an ocean front room. Seahorse was exceptional for a family of five. Oceanfront room for two was really nice, view was amazing (but little place to set stuff). The suite was good and well equipped for a senior with limited walking capacity. Only complaint was the light on her porch was blown and she was unable to unlock her door, (facing the ocean) from the outside, due to no key provided. When she visited our room, she had to take the long way to the front door- not good for her condition. However, the staff and other guests reassured us that her room would be safe if we left it unlocked. We did feel safe, and other guests were like old friends! A storm had passed through the week before we came, and the staff was diligently removing sand and trying to reclaim access to the whole property. Surf fishing, nice pool and hot tub, great location central to many sights, very clean and relaxing. *take the trip insurance! Long story involving covid and road closures due to sand in April; had to reschedule instead of cancel, but enjoyed our stay in October. Would stay here again!

Pretty Dope Spot

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: Everything was clean, there was plenty of space, plenty of dishes, and the beach was a very short walk (maybe 60 seconds) away. The outdoor shower and the hose was also a nice touch. Cons: The view of the beach was a tiny sliver, though it was nice to be able to see a part of it. This is not a stand-alone, the appearance is deceiving. If we wanted to leave straight for the beach from the top balcony, we'd have to either go back inside and downstairs, or risk an awkward moment with the neighbors as we cross their balcony to reach the stairs. We always opted for the former.

The reason I gave a 3 for cleanliness is due to the pots and pans being rusty and having to go buy our own, and most of the dishes we did use we had to wash due to being so dirty. One other recommendation is to get more silverware. If you say it accommodates 6 have enough silverware 6 not 5.I would reccomend this place
