Home well presented, clean and inviting. Firewood ready to go and lots of other nice touches. We enjoyed the two living spaces and lots of area to relax. A very special location with the stream at the bottom of the lawn. This is our 5th year of booking places for our annual friends catch up and the best yet.

Lived up to it's name.

Serenity Lodge lived up to its name and gave our three generational family a holiday we all treasured. Yes, it was immaculate, large and provided thoroughly modern kitchen, bathrooms and many other amenities. However, some of our fondest memories involved deck time with grandchildren while they shared their adventures, taking in the view of the mountain and making the most of the beautiful stream at the bottom of the property. This was definitely the ‘babbling brook’ to lull you to sleep, provide boulders for children to clamber over, a small swimming space and a selection of rocks which on examination illustrated the volcanic nature of the New Plymouth area. A beautiful property.

Great family vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: An excellent place to meet up with friends from Auckland - pretty much equidistant from there and Wellington. A really comfortable and stylish, well appointed home in a scenic setting. Close to Taranaki National park and New Plymouth. A little low on kitchen linen but that’s really the only quibble!

Beautiful Views

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely stay in this beautiful home. Lovely with the sound of rolling water from the little river and lovely views of the mountain. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room. The only down side was the lack of serving dishes (one) as we ate at home every night. There were a few platters though. Also the beds were very small. I’d obviously forgotten just how small a queen bed is. A shame as there was plenty of room for bigger beds. It does say Queen though, so I guess I shouldn’t moan. Overall amazing place though.
