Fabulous Rental on Little Glen

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with 9 adults and 1 toddler. House was perfect for our group. Very clean and well equipped. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful week! The location was wonderful! Our hosts were very responsive. Would loved to have had a couple of extra bath towels. 10 people 10 towels.

The outside property description & access to the water was accurate and enjoyable. We reported a broken dock plank the first week and it was not repaired/nor a response received. The home cleanliness was poor. The floors were gritty and dirty when we arrived. We vacuumed and purchased a wet Swiffer to clean all the floors. Cleaning attention needs to focus on under the beds and furniture. Dust build up was horrendous!!! Bed sheets did not fit the king or queen beds. The home is lovely however, the on line pictures are deceiving. Why no garbage disposal? The bathroom jacuzzi was inoperable. Showers need safety hand bar for the elderly. Family has allergies, we cleaned the AC vent cover and inside vent-screen which was also filthy. Agree with other reviews, LOTS of towels were provided. Thank you, the Milantoni Family

House with a View!

For 8 ladies who loved the trip, our biggest comment was the need for more (any?) hooks for towels/clothes in both the bedrooms/ bathrooms, but that was really it!

Annual Family Weekend

This year we chose Little Glen Shores and it accommodated our group of 6 adults and 4 children. Nice view of the lake and lake access added to the enjoyment.

Family Stay on Little Glen Lake

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved staying on Little Glen Lake. The cons for little Glen shores rental: it is HOT upstairs. There is no central air and fans don’t help much. During our stay, the trash was not picked up as scheduled so the property managers came to empty some of it. The house is on busy M22 so be careful crossing to the lake/dock as it’s 40 mph speed limit and cars go faster than that. The lake is shallow (waist deep 200 yards out) so if you bring a boat, you may have to moor out a ways. There is no dedicated mooring buoy for the rental, so BYO or have a boat rental company place one if you rent a boat. I recommend getting to the place and taking inventory before getting groceries as previous renters have left plenty of spices/olive oil. The pros: such a fabulous location. Glen arbor is a five minute drive, sleeping bear dunes is close, Leland is close. Suttons bay and Hop lot are relatively close. St Ambrose cellars is 25 minutes. TC airport and downtown TC and casino are 35-40 minutes. The water is shallow and easily accessible across M22. The fire pit with all the chairs around it is amazing for s’mores. There is washing machine and dryer. The place fit the family comfortably. I would definitely rent this place and from “Up North rentals” again. We had a fabulous time!

First time up north

The view was amazing, to look out and see Lake Michigan from the living area. There were lots of gnats we picked up fly traps and there was no chairs near the dock/firepit near the lake. Pick up your own firewood too. I would revisit the area. I give it a 4 star

Great Location but the house need a carpet replacement

The property is greatly located but there are some issue which changes the impression really worse especially the carpet condition, very old furnitures especially un comfortable beds and sofas .The burners are not working in the kitchen and the furnace is very loud , So not worth for the money you spend

The space was great, plenty of room for nine people. It was nice to have a table big enough for us all to eat together!We knew ahead of time that we were across the road from the beach, what we didn't realize is how loud the traffic would be. It took some of the enjoyment of sitting on the deck away. You could also hear it at night if you have the windows open.The dock and lake area were great! We spent a lot of time down there making some great memories.I would suggest bringing fans, not all the bedrooms have ceiling fans and there was one pretty lame fan.It is really close to Glen Arbor and the sand dunes.

Location is great, Property is Bare Bones

Location and access to dock on Little Glen were great, and made the rest of the rental more tolerable. We booked a long time ago, and paid a much lower rate than this property is currently seeking, I would be upset if we'd had to pay the new rate for what this house offers! The house itself is very bare bones, and not thoughtfully prepared for visitors. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with basic supplies, but they bathrooms/showers in particular are not in great shape, the beds are all on cheap frames so slide around easily and not particularly comfortable. There's little to no storage in most of the bedrooms, and I echo what another reviewer said about bringing your own fans. We had to do quite a bit of cleanup on the deck to use the outdoor furniture. Seating in the living was also lacking and what was available was cheap and not comfortable.

Excellent location, beautiful lakes

This house is in the perfect location - close to everything. The lakes (Little Glen and Big Glen) are beautiful and peaceful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. We rented a boat one day from the nearby marina. Loved paddling in Little Glen and over to Big Glen. The dune climb is 7 minutes away. Very close to Glen Arbor, so running into town for groceries or ice cream was really easy/not stressful. Large lawn - we brought corn hole with us - plenty of space. The house was spacious and fit all 10 of us perfectly. Only two bathrooms but we made it work. Ample parking. Communication with the property managers was very easy. The house was cleaned before we arrived, but it was still a little dirty (the floors in particular). The mattresses in most beds were uncomfortable. It is an old cottage. Lots of hot water that never ran out. Just wished the house was cleaner and for some wished the mattresses were more comfortable. Because of the proximity to everything and the gorgeous lakes, I would recommend this house.

Ideal Location

We especially enjoyed that we could moor a pontoon boat right across the street, and grandkids could swim right off the dock. The pictures accurately show the property. It could use some updating but is functional as is. The kitchen is well equipped but leaves little room for food storage. We had two small issues that were promptly addressed by the management company. I would rent this property again.

Nice Enough

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is a great location. Very shallow and sandy swimming area that is perfect for kids. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Close to Glen Arbor. The yard of the home and deck are nice. The inside was mostly clean. The decor and carpeting leave something to be desired. The carpet is quite stained and makes the home feel dirty even if it is "clean". The stove only had one burner that worked. This would be a top notch rental if they put a few $ into new carpeting and decor. I would recommend it to a friend if they changed these items. I wouldn't in it's current state because there are more updated rentals in the same location.
