Awesome!

Our family had a great time at Casa Kenkai. Elsa, our concierge was great! She arranged a zip line adventure for our family and gave great restaurant recommendations in the area. The house is very clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen.

Easy to love! So relaxing!

We had a great Christmas at casa Kenkai and look forward to coming back. The team is very communicative and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. We did hear lots of animals at night and early morning- monkeys, coyotes, frogs, and many birds! It was fun for our kids.

Good

The location is good and close to the beach club. We spent most of our time at the beach club because due to the time of year (Xmas) there were so many large grasshoppers dead and alive around and in the pool. At that time of year the pool should have daily service.Also could not sit outside at night. A screen area would be a good idea to add. The overall house was nice but has a lot of potential to make it more comfortable. Not enough couch space and small tv for those rainy days.Elsa was great but unfortunately we rented golf carts 3 months in advance and they couldn’t deliver as they rented too many. Terrible service. Don’t rent from Paradise Cart Rental. As well, take an Uber/cab to and from Tamarindo. We were not told of this and were overcharged for a car service for 8.Otherwise, Adult kids had a great time.

House is nice, resort vibe wish I knew some things

Elsa the host is outstanding! Full of information and will book anything you need. The house is big and nice allowing all guests privacy. It felt safe with guards at the gate. Supplies were adequate. I wish we had known that it is not close to anything. Other than the beach club and Marriott. The beach is meh and the pictures make it look way better. To go to a market, shop or eat out you will drive and the roads are not smooth. You dodge pothole after pothole making the drive seem longer. Excursions are far. You spend a lot of time in the car. These are the things I wish I knew so I hope it helps someone else out.

Wonderful Family Getaway

We loved our stay at Casa Kenkai! The house was in a great location. We have stayed in Hacienda Pinilla before and we would stay here again. Easy access to multiple beaches, great running/biking paths throughout the property, and the Beach Club is always a great way to spend the day. Our kids loved having their own big bedrooms and the pool was enjoyed by all!

RR in Costa Rica

Generally the pictures of the property were accurate with what was shown on the website. Spacious home with a wonderful pool! The back of the home overlooking the golf course was quite peaceful. The pool’s filtering system worked but we felt it should be on much longer. The Primary BR was spacious and comfortable. Great closet space and safe to hold valuables. The gated community was extremely safe ALL the places we traveled in Guanacaste Province. The great room and dining area was quite generous. The dining table was large but chairs around the table are worn and in fair condition at best. We needed only used two bedrooms. The primary BR has a comfortable King Bed. The 3 other bedrooms have Queens. I would suggest that at least two bedrooms have Kings. The kitchen was adequate. More eating utensils are needed. The Website showed a kitchen with a Microwave wall unit, it was not there. We had a very small counter top microwave. The house is not new as indicated on the website. Some maintenance needs to be done inside. Nevertheless this DID NOT take away from our terrific stay!! Great location to travel to Tamarindo & many beaches on the Pacific Coast. Golf is available. Wonderful restaurants are within 10-30 minutes. Elsa our concierge was 5 stars plus. Extremely responsive and polite. Made reservations quite reliable and knowledgeable. She was a gift!. Shower door shattered last night of stay and AC in great room dripped as we left, thankfully. We had a great time.

Winter Break 2023

We had an amazing stay at Casa Kenkai! The house manager Dani was super helpful in helping us coordinate excursions, making sure we had groceries delivered to the house prior to our arrival. When we did have any issues he responded quickly. Overall communication was great and the access to the private beach club was wonderful. We would definitely recommend staying here and would do so again when we venture back to Costa Rica.

Fantastic Trip!

My family had a truly wonderful stay at Casa Kenkai. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed including lots of pots, towels and a great espresso machine. There was also a lovely outdoor shower in the main bedroom (in addition to the regular shower). My boys (6 and 9) loved spending time in the beautiful pool (which was cleaned and maintained during our stay), The location was also great-there are so many restaurants to choose from and lovely beaches to visit. Elsa was incredibly helpful and responsive. Before the trip, she helped plan transportation for our arrival. She also recommended activities and made reservations for us based on the best things to do for kids. She suggested restaurants and was super responsive if we had questions. We felt very at home and well-take care of. It was a fantastic trip! We would definitely choose to stay at Casa Kenkai again.

Week at Casa Kenkai

What a wonderful week! Casa Kenkai in Reservation De Golf of Hacienda Pinilla was amazing! Started week with an in home chef upon our arrival. Elsa assisted our group with several excursions and restaraunt selections. I've been to Hacienda Pinilla 8 times now - it never disappoints !!! Most highly recommend whether with family/children or friends, it is a great experience.

Beautiful home in a safe and lush resort

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful villa in the Hacienda Los Pinos Pinilla resort. The home was modern, clean with large open spaces and sliding doors opening to a beautiful pool area. Great home to stay in during the pandemic in case members of the party need to isolate; and the large windows and doors allow for ample air movement. All four rooms are private, well sized and comfortable. The pool was wonderful and we all thoroughly enjoyed daily swims. Kitchen is well appointed; generous laundry room. We could hear howler monkeys and beautiful bird song throughout the day. We never felt unsafe ( we were alarmed by some reviews on other VRBO stand-alone properties mentioning night time burglaries, which is why we selected this particular property.) Security is excellent. Tamarindo has wonderful restaurants; we particularly enjoyed Dragonfly and Green Papaya, but the home and kitchen is so lovely that we spent several days just enjoying the home and resort. Car recommended. Buy the local mosquito repellant; according to the experienced local guides, the local repellant is much more effective. Highly recommend! Thanks for the great memories!

Beautiful home

Highly recommend if you love to golf and want to feel safe in a secure restricted resort this is a great stay for it! Check in and out was extremely easy, affordable, access to the jw Marriott that has beach access, at the time of purchase the rep sent a list of activities we can purchase that had pick up service. Only con is the drive to the entrance it’s pretty rough, that’s it. The house was like a resort! It was beautiful, clean, appliances easy to use, spacious! 10/10 highly recommend. Elsa was soooooo helpful, and responsive!

Amazing Stay and Experience

We had an amazing time at Casa Kenkai. Elsa was amazing throughout the booking process and also helped us out a lot before we arrived and while we were in the property. Always very responsive and helped us with many activities and bookings to make the stay great for everyone. The house was located in a large gated community and felt very private and extremely safe. The house looks even better than the photos and it feels new and was very well stocked. We would use Stay in Tamarindo and Elsa and stay in this house again. Pura Vida!

Just what we were looking for....

We loved our stay at Casa Kenkai in Hacienda Pinilla. The house was lovely, clean and in good working order - it comfortably met the needs of our group - very peaceful and private. Elsa, the concierge was super helpful both prior to and during our visit, arranging day trips, dinner reservations, covid tests, etc. Hacienda Pinilla has so much to offer - gorgeous beaches, tennis/pickleball, horseback riding, biking, golf, beach club..... Overall, it was a great time and just what we all needed.
