The Space:

Blue Ocean Studio is a unique beachfront studio apartment that is literally steps from the sand in Luquillo, Puerto Rico. It features comfortable furnishing, A/C, a kitchen, and wonderful community amenities such as beach access, a large swimming pool, a basketball court, and a children's park. Guests love the excellent location which is approximately 15-20 minutes from the El Yunque Rainforest, 5-10 minutes from a wide array of beaches, and has excellent dining options nearby. 



It also has a washer and dryer, convenient for longer stays!



IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that the property owners do not allow Children under the age of 13 at the unit. Please take this into account before booking.



*DISCLAIMER*: The condominium Playa Azul Tower 1 is currently undergoing general repairs and upgrades. Specifically, since February 19th until mid-June, they will be pressure washing and restoring the balconies, causing some residue in our property’s balcony.





LIVING AREAS



Enter the studio and you are greeted with a beautiful open space overlooking the stunning beach and ocean. Cozy decor along with beautiful pop of colors throughout the studio gives it pop with personality and unique style. The studio features a perfectly designed kitchen and brand-new furnishings. It also has a flat-screen TV and a private balcony with a dining table for 4. The balcony has a sitting area where you can enjoy the stunning view and trade winds. 



 

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS



The studio has 1 king-size bed outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens. Features a brand new private full bathroom with a rain shower head, A/C, and personal nightstands. 



If you wish to divide the living room from the bedroom, guests have the option to close the area with a proper sliding door for privacy.



PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):



We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.



 

KITCHEN



Blue Ocean Studio has a recently remodeled and fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen includes a fridge, freezer, microwave, stovetop, oven, coffee maker, and toaster. It has a convenient counter area with 2 additional counter stool seatings. 



 

GETTING AROUND & PARKING



We strongly recommend renting a car, as there are a multitude of activities within a 15-30-minute drive that you will not want to miss out on. Also, Uber is not readily available in the area, which is why it's important to have your own means of transportation.



The villa includes one (1) unassigned parking spot.





LOCATION



Blue Ocean Studio is located in Luquillo Beach, Puerto Rico. Luquillo Beach is well known for its refreshing trade winds and large palm trees which provide plenty of shade. The location provides quick and easy access to some of the best beaches in Puerto Rico, El Yunque Rainforest, and the boat tours and water activities based out of Fajardo.  



There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites:



Chill at the beach! It's one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must-do if you are staying at Blue Ocean Studio. The apartment has beach chairs, towels, and coolers for a long day at the beach.

Lunch or dinner at Los Kioskos de Luquillo. There are over 25 restaurants on the Caribbean beachfront restaurant strip. One of our favorites is "La Parrilla".

Take a surfing lesson right at La Pared Beach. There are multiple surf schools located on this beach and it is a 5-minute walk away from the apartment.  

Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 10-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship.

Spend a day in Old San Juan. Blue Ocean Villa is a 45 min drive away from the oldest city in all of the US. There is a lot of history to be seen and great food and drinks to be had.

Charter a boat from Fajardo. There are many boats you can charter for day trips to neighboring islands and coral reefs. You can choose from large boats that sell by ticket or smaller boats you can rent out for private trips with a captain.



Other Things to Note:

STARTER AMENITIES



At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay.



All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest.



We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:



- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)

- 3 garbage bags

- 1 roll of paper towels

- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)

- 1 dish soap

- 1 dish sponge

- A small amount of laundry detergent



Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.



Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.





HOUSE RULES



RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed.



NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.



NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.



QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.



UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.



MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 2 adults/children at all times, including visitors.



OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.



TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.



TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.



SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.





CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES



Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.



If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.



If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.



Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you.





TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON



We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.



Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.

We want your stay at West Indies Vacation Rental to be smooth and enjoyable. You can message us anytime after booking with questions. Starting 5 days before arrival, your designated Property Manager will also be available to answer any additional questions you may have prior to arrival. You’ll get all the essential property information 48 hours before arrival, as well as the Property Manager’s direct contact, so you’ll have support when you need it - before, during, and after your stay.

Campo de golf Wyndham Rio Mar y El Conquistador Golf Course son excelentes opciones para los que buscan unas vacaciones activas, pero si prefieres sumergirte en la naturaleza, Playa de Luquillo y Bosque Nacional El Yunque son lo que necesitas. Parque tropical de Carabalí y Reserva Natural Las Cabezas de San Juan también merecen la pena.

Great location, cute little efficiency at the beach. Host was VERY responsive! Quarter mile from grocery/liquor store, walkable to Luquillo Kiosks and other restaurants. It’s not new or luxurious but the price is right. I would stay there again.

A magnificent place to stay

This was a lovely condo. Very clean apartment. Small but separated nicely. Beautiful location! The bed was really comfortable and who doesn't love sitting on a bed and listening to the crashing waves? Would totally stay again.

Clean, comfy bed, gorgeous view. The beach is a local fave. The sand is a cross between brown sugar and ground up ginger snaps. Walk to a couple of good restaurants for local food and characters. Grocery across the street. It was lovely.

Constant breeze, sound of waves, totally restful

The studio is attractive and best of all is open to the ocean. You can open the entire wall of glass from the studio to the balcony if you wish. For us, the quiet neighborhood, and lack of crowds on the beach gave us exactly what we were looking for. Note that the decorative colors have changed so the vivid blues in the photos are no longer there, but the decor remains lovely. We arrived on Christmas Eve, which was a mistake as it turns out because NOTHING was open, not even fast food places, which we wold normally never go to anyway. Something to keep in mind if you are traveling at Christmas. Christmas Day was a bit better, with a few possibilities at Los Kioskos. But this was not at all the fault of the rental itself. Nice to have the lawn chairs and umbrella to use on the beach. Small cons: I would recommend that the owner supply facial tissues and supply tumblers for drinks -- most of the glassware was for cocktails and wine. All in all a lovely plave that we would recommend.

Great location and value great property

On the beach. Beautiful beaches not crowded stuff near by. Great base of operation to hit el Yunque. Farjedo Cubera etc. Really nice unit with everything you need great balcony Hit the Kiosks near by. And breakfast food truck on beach

Constant Breeze blowing through

Amazing stay. The glass wall facing the beach completely opens to allow a constant breeze through the apartment and we slept with it wide open listening to the weaves crash and the frogs chirp. Extremely clean and well-appointed with plenty of kitchen supplies and thick shower towels.. In-room washer and dryer was great to have. Beautiful view. Definitely would recommend to a friend ( and already have!)
