ESPECIAL DE NAVIDAD

Perfect stay

The entire experience with the New Tree Ranch was a bliss. We have stayed at so many rentals overall, and in particularly in Sonoma area, but none is even close to Ed's property. Attention to details is incredible; the level of hospitality is about any expectations. I wish we could have stayed much longer in this peaceful oasis. But we'll certainly be back!! Thank you again, Ed!

A magical retreat

What can you say when a property completely exceeds your expectations and provides the perfect setting for a long-weekend away? Relaxing by the pool, enjoying a cozy evening by the fire, and movie night all feel second nature is this beautiful ranch home. A visit to the on-property bio-dynamic farm completes the experience and reminds you what harmony with nature looks like. Have a dinner in the garden and you are transported to another world. Ed, David and his team are 5-star in every way. Be prepared to be amazed.

Amazing getaway

My family and some friends headed here for a bday weekend and we were not disappointed. The ranch and the peacefulness it exudes can not be put into words. David was an exceptional and responsive host. We loved collecting farm fresh eggs each morning and the bounty of seasonal fresh vegetables from the garden. The property was so cozy that we canceled our dinner reservations and wine tastings to stay and enjoy everything it has to offer. By the way, the kitchen was amazing, any chef would appreciate the high end appliances, pots and pans and flow. Thanks for an incredible experience! We are already thinking about when we can come back and visit with Lambchop, Eddie and Cathy. (farm animals) :)

Feeling at home in nature!

This house was incredibly cozy, modern and convenient! I love how every piece and corner was thoughtfully designed highlighting comfort and luxury inspired by nature. The hosts were beyond exceptional in making sure we had a great stay! We enjoyed the seasonal crops fresh from their garden and we had fun making our meals in its chef's kitchen complete with all the top-notch appliances, tools and a full stock pantry! The ranch location near downtown Healdsburg is a plus too! Spending time with the animals and enjoying the ranch facilities like paddle boarding in the lake, fruit picking, tree planting & hands-on learning about bio-dynamic farming & the walking trails were some of the highlights of our stay. But the stay in the house alone watching the green outdoors was truly relaxing! I will never forget the time I stopped by to watch the birds circling above the trees, suddenly a loud sound of the wind started to blow from the horizon, I watched the trees sway as the wind approached and passed through me and I took a long deep breath. It felt like I bathed in the scent of pine trees and fresh cool breeze! I immediately felt rejuvenated and inspired! It is nature's magical paradise in Sonoma, California. I didn't expect my stay to be truly life-changing! I hope everyone can see it for themselves! If you wish to experience an invigorating holiday in Sonoma with all the comfort and ease, then this ranch estate at NewTree Ranch is the best place to go!

Meaningful and Relaxing Family Vacation

This was our 2nd stay at New Tree Ranch and I cannot say enough about how much of a relaxing and wonderful time we had communing with nature. The Ranch House fit our family perfectly and we loved walking out our front door to the gorgeous vista framed by the doorway. The accommodations were luxurious and we literally needed to bring NOTHING, as everything was provided – from toiletries to bedding. Who needs a television when you can just sit on the comfortable outdoor sofa and watch nature all day! (There is a television…but we didn’t turn it on). The kitchen and pantry was well-stocked with coffees, teas, cashew milk, herbs, spices, whole grains, and a fridge-full of fresh veggies from the garden. One of our favorite experiences was when our 7-year-old helped Ed and David pick beets, and then we cooked them up for dinner. If we wanted to work out, a well-equipped gym was at our disposal. After a day in nature, the beds were a dream to sleep on. There are numerous wineries within a short drive away and the adorable town of Healdsburg has some amazing restaurants. With that said, we live in Chicago, so it was a treat for us to just stay on the farm for most of the time, enjoy our times in the garden, go for hikes, hang out with the animals, and meditate by Lake Andreas. And just sit with our books and listen to the beautiful wind chimes in the breeze. We were only there for a few days, but it truly felt like we had left our hectic lifestyle for two weeks and were able to return to our lives refreshed, replenished, and re-energized. I know now that New Tree will need to be a yearly stop for our family so we can reconnect with each other and ourselves and take what we have learned from this beautiful biodynamic farm and lead more purposeful and meaningful lives.

Exceeded all expectations

What an absolutely amazing property! My family LOVED it and we will definitely be going back. It’s evident that every detail (from the photo-worthy stocked pantry to the fresh picked flowers) has been lovingly thought through and beautifully executed to ensure a comfortable and peaceful stay. My husband, son and I spent our days going for hikes on the property, hanging out with the animals (my son’s favorite part), visiting the farm and just enjoying the beauty of the place. The location can’t be beat. It’s a quick 7 minute drive to downtown Healdsburg, an hour and a half from SFO and a world away from day-to-day stress.

More than just a house on a ranch.

My group and I stayed in mid February for a birthday celebration, and everyone left New Tree Ranch feeling more connected: to each other, to the earth, to themselves. It was an incredibly restorative, inspiring, and relaxing weekend. We were greeted by David, who is the farm manager. He was incredibly generous, hospitable, and an inspirational, centered person to talk to. It was a treat to get to know the beautiful story of how he found his way to the ranch. His nut milk is a must try; we were all begging for more. And, the canned goods fermented directly from the farm were such an incredible accompaniment to our meals. We all left basking in his glow! The description, Forbes article and pictures don’t do the experience justice. It’s priced the way it is for a good reason; think a Ventana-like experience but personalized and private. So, here’s what I wish I knew: - Food. You don’t need to worry about menu planning. There is intensely fresh and delicious produce from the farm that you can create the most beautiful menu, whether it’s a salad or sauté or roast. There is a big John’s market nearby, where you can pick up some delicious proteins, if you wish to cook at home. It’s a 10 minute drive door to door. No need to stop by Costco or bring your own ingredients. - House. There is a full size sofa bed in the attached yes sweet. Everything in the house is room and board, so you know it will be comfortable, and high-quality. The entire house has state of the art technology: from an Apple TV with fast internet, to a full indoor, and outdoor, Bose surround sound system - Cooking. The kitchen has two dishwashers, three sinks, two ovens, and an indoor grill. There’s even a charcoal grill provided upon request. There is a fully stocked pantry of dried goods, like rice, popcorn, and legumes. There are plenty of fresh garden herbs, spices, and cooking oils. - Activities. Most of the activities advertised on the website are self guided, like farm animal therapy, or forest walks. The only guided activities we had were yoga, a farm tour with David, and an incredibly restorative sound bath, all of which were included in the price of the stay. Working with David was easy to adjust times. There’s no stress making activities. You can freely walk the farm, interact with animals, pick produce. - Amenities. There is an outdoor Glamping tent, and there is no longer a hot tub. It had been replaced bt two soaking tubs. There’s a gym and pool

Amazing!

Our family just spent a week at New Tree Ranch and had the most wonderful time! The setting is beautiful, the house luxurious and comfortable. Both gardens were beautiful and we enjoyed eating from them every day. We took the plant based cooking class, enjoyed pizza night and Wim Hof class - great memories every one! It is a peaceful and relaxing place to be. And oh, did I mention the glorious starry night sky and the adorable animals? You will love this place.

Absolute Perfection!

In the current environment, due to COVID-19, we weren’t sure if a family vacation was even possible this summer. We were fortunate enough to discover New Tree, and not only had a real vacation, but had the best one our family has ever had. Ed and David are ahead of the curve, creating a curated experience that literally has something for everyone. Every minute and every detail was perfection - the house, the pool, the amazing food (it was all vegan, which was a change for us - and every meal was delicious). Ed and David have created an experience where they somehow manage to provide the ultimate escape with privacy and at the same time make you feel like you are family. They could not have been more welcoming and kind to us, our two young boys and our two dogs. The chance to ride horses, collect fresh eggs and vegetables, paddle board in a beautiful lake and swim in the pool was priceless. Our boys loved walking outside and visiting the animals - it is one of the most peaceful experiences we have had. We will never forget this trip, and we can’t wait to go back. If you are wondering if NewTree Ranch is worth it, the answer is yes. It will exceed your expectations by a mile.

Spectacular Vacation

New Tree Ranch was the best vacation my family and I have ever had. We've been lucky enough to travel the world and this is by far the place I would like to return to the most. I could not recommend it any higher. It was absolute bliss and I can't wait until our next visit.

A dream

New Tree Ranch is a truly unique gem. Ed, David, Andreas, and Lyann are all lovely, caring, and welcoming people. After just a few minutes around the them (and the ranch) you can feel your blood pressure dropping. From the moment you enter the property and drive up to the spacious and thoughtfully decorated/fitted home you know special things are happening. Although the listing/website may not promote the ranch for kids, the 4 kids (ages 2-6) that came up had an absolutely amazing time! They had a blast running around with the goats, hiking through the ranch, and of course collecting eggs in the morning for breakfast! After just one day on the ranch we had to extend our trip. I am not sure I actually ever left New Tree, a day hasn't gone by where I don't find myself wondering the ranch in my mind... We cannot wait to go back. Thank you Ed, David, Andreas, and Lyann for the time you gave us.

A 5 star BDay experience with good friends

We decided to spend my 60th BDay in Healdsburg with some good friends and discovered the The New Tree Ranch. The property looked beautiful on the website but the overall experience exceeded all of our expectations ... - The check in experience was like that of 5 star hotel - The house was the perfect place to hang out with friends for the weekend and the tent with a hot tub provide the perfect spot for star gazing ... - There is a marvelous garden on the ranch from which all our meals came from and with fresh eggs from the chicken coup every morning. - We had a pizza dinner in the garden on our 1st night and the experience is hard to describe ... A very special unique experience ... not your typical wood fired pizza experience ... If there had been forest fairies flying around you would think you were in a movie :-) - We went with a vegetarian diet for the visit which turned out to be the gourmet experience of a life time. Ed / David brought in a local chef that truly made the experience special. I have had gourmet chef meals before but the flavor experience was in the top five of my life. We had a squash bloom with stuff cheese lightly battered that was truly unique and memorable - The BDay dinner was a 6 course meal prepared by a chef that was truly talented. And they made sure that there were enough servers that everyone's food was served at the same time ... a very nice touch. - We did wine tasting with a group of 17 friends and Ed took care of transportation - Throughout the visit we needed to make adjustments for additional friends joining and windy conditions and Ed and the staff took care of everything and made the who experience stress free - For anyone looking for a special experience for a special occassion they want to share with some good friends I would highly recommend The New Tree Ranch

Every group that comes to New Tree is amazing but yours was really special. Hidden gem

We have been to the wine country multiple times. The experience, created at New Tree Ranch, is by far the most memorable. We can't wait to return.

If you have an appreciation for nature, fine things and a unique experience .....

We were a family of 6 plus a 11 month old cerebrating a 30th bday. This was such a great choice. So much to do and see leading in first with an immaculate property, much attention to details, the finest of everything and wonderful host. We loved the fridge filled with fresh produce from the ranch along with fresh daily eggs. The lighting, bedding, Sonos, several fireplaces and firepits, fresh flowers throughout the house, decor, anything you might want... It was all available! Besides the solar heated pool, there's a lake you can swim, canoe and paddle board in. Also, there's a Yurt (glamping) with a fireplace on property with a hot tub to experience something that is really special. Meeting the goats and cattle along with the chickens and adorable Dick the dog was a treat. We were so impressed with the plant based dinner they provided. The gardens you dine in are beautiful, the food delicious and experience memorable! You are only 15 minutes from Healdsburg if you want to eat out or explore. There are several wineries nearby as well. This is a fabulous property. Healdsburg in general has cell phone connection issues... Make sure you have the gate code and accurate directions from homeowner before you head out to property as you may not have cell coverage approaching that area until you are on premises.

An amazing experience that should not be missed!

The short version, you will not be sorry. Book and enjoy - everything! OK, the longer version. We booked very last minute as our prior plans fell through. Ed was so responsive and quickly got everything sorted fort the next day! Because we provided very little time, Ed outlined that the majority of staff wouldn't be available as they were off. Not at all a problem for us as we wanted a pretty low profile stay. As you head through the quiet streets you are transported to another world. Heading up the driveway you are met with the large house on the left, a barn and chickens on the right. Kids already excited. You enter the house which is expansive and thoughtfully decorated. The owners have been very thoughtful about creating experiences throughout the house, from the piano playing to the various teas left for you to drink. We settle in and the next day we head to their farm area where they have so many types of plants growing, each with a story of their own. The owners took the time to explain how they planted each one, why they did it and what their vision of the property was. We head back to the main house area and for the next few days, the kids were in and out of the pool, by the patio with the fire on, checking in on the chickens or heading to the private lake for a canoe ride. We were so relaxed that we asked to extend another day and not head back to work :) Again the owners accommodated immediately. This is a place for those who want to get away from it all, enjoy the peace and quiet of nature but still have all the mod cons you would want. It was certainly hard to leave and head back home. Thank you for an AMAZING stay that I would recommend to anyone wanting to relax, reconnect and enjoy life.

Luxury experience

If you want to forget about your everyday life than this is the place for you. The ranch was beautiful, spacious, clean with a relaxing atmosphere. Our hosts went the extra mile at every turn. The food was delicious and I even made a couple of the recipes when I returned home. We had a luncheon on the farm and made homemade pizzas that were delicious. If your looking to reconnect with nature, self and soul than this is the place for you. I would go back in a NY minute.

New Tree Ranch is fantastic. The house is beautiful, the scenery spectacular and the overall feel is incredible. Ed and David are incredible hosts who take great care of the property and guests needs. We had a wonderful weekend and want to go back again next year.

Blissful paradise retreat in Healdsburg!

This gorgeous hideaway provides you with the ultimate retreat experience! The home is perched on a hill overlooking a bountiful forest of trees. There are free range goats, cows and chickens on the property who give you the ideal ranch experience. When it comes to meal time, you can enjoy fresh produce from the on site biodynamic farm! We spent a magical evening sipping local wine in the jacuzzi, surrounded by the sounds of nature while admiring the star covered sky. The rooms are so comfortable, outfitted with premium linens and towels. The products available for use in the showers etc. are organic and locally sourced, true to Newtree values. You really will not find an experience like this anywhere else in the area. I, for sure, plan to visit on a regular basis! I love Newtree Ranch!

Exceeded every expectation!

Our stay at the Ranch was magical. The property itself is gorgeous and the attention to detail meticulous. I cannot praise it enough. What we enjoyed the most was being able to relax, unplug and get in touch with nature without forgoing the luxuries we love. Every detail has been thought of with the highest quality provided. I must mention the stars; there is so little light pollution that the quantity and brightness is mesmerising. We will definitely be going back!

Simply fabulous

We were a group of six extended family members looking for something special and a bit different not too far from San Francisco. Ed and his team provided that to a level way above our expectations. The ranch house itself was stunning; luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms with plenty of room to mix and perhaps to find that quiet moment. The ability to choose to sleep outside in the tent with every luxury from furs to a wood burning stove added another element. We made good use of the outdoor space including the fitness track and lake for swimming. Two particular things took our break to another level. The biodynamic garden is extraordinary and it was a pleasure to be walked and talked through how the ethos of the ranch works in practice. Even better was the food itself, which was both an education and delightful making full use of the garden produce, and the care from Ed and his team. We were treated like royalty, enjoyed new friendships and came away with new ideas about responsible living. I can't recommend the ranch more highly.
