The Location
"Capital Park" is a new, steel & concrete condominium building located at 530 Michigan St, situated adjacent to the BC Legislature on the northern edge of Victoria in the historic James Bay neighbourhood. Just steps away from the Inner Harbour and within easy walking distance of downtown shops and amenities like Victoria Public Library, Red Barn Market, and Good Earth Coffee shop.
Better Than Home
Whether you’re in Victoria for business, relaxation or just wanting to escape the snow to spend a few months in our balmy paradise, the central location of our lovely new condo is hard to beat! This home-away-from-home exudes a feeling of welcome and serenity. The furnishing and décor are brand new and great care has been taken to ensure quality and comfort.
Space
This south-facing 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo is on the 2nd floor with a view of the trees along Michigan St. The suite is filled with light and boasts a wide open living space perfect for a couple or individual on an extended stay. ** Unit can accommodate up to 3 ppl, but one or two is recommended. The option for the third person is the large sectional couch in the living room. Please note there is an additional charge for the third guest. **
The contemporary kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans and all cooking supplies. It features high-performance, fully integrated Bosch appliances and quartz countertops, the bathroom has a deep soaker tub, porcelain tiles and in-floor heating, and the bedroom has a functionally-designed closet organizer with shelving and drawers for storage. The spacious balcony is furnished for relaxed, outdoor living and entertaining.
What is included
Guests will enjoy access to the free highspeed Wifi, cable TV, secure, underground parking for (1) vehicle, and there is an in-suite washer and dryer for your laundry needs. The building also includes a brand new athletic studio and serenity lounge to help you stay fit and relaxed during your stay.
Building Information
The building is 100% smoke-free, with a security controlled covered entrance, well appointed lobby, 2 elevators, resident caretaker, underground parking, bicycle storage, fitness studio and serenity lounge which opens onto an expansive terrace. Enjoy the tree-lined streets, beautifully landscaped courtyards, tranquil interconnected walkways and calming water features surrounding the building.
Neighbourhood
Set just behind the BC Legislature Buildings and the Inner Harbour, James Bay is an area where both locals and tourists enjoy strolling along the ocean walkways, exploring the trails and vast gardens of Beacon Hill Park, while marveling at some stunning turn-of-the-century architecture.
The hub of the neighbourhood is James Bay Village, with a liquor store, pharmacy, coffee shops, cafes, bakeries, Thrifty Foods grocery store, banks, and other interesting businesses such as The Bent Mast, a unique pub in a historic Victoria building and the world-famous Floyd’s Diner. For farm fresh organic greens and handmade arts and crafts, check out the vibrant James Bay Market at the corner of Menzies and Superior. It’s part farmer’s market, part flea market featuring work by local crafters. For a unique experience head down to the famous Fisherman’s Wharf, where amongst the houseboats you’ll find a wide variety of seafood vendors.
Getting Around
Victoria is a very walkable city and is best explored on foot! You’re as close to the natural splendor of rugged ocean beaches, amazing hiking and the scenic waterfront as you are to Victoria’s most popular restaurants, the finest in urban shopping and an entertaining variety of diverse cultural activities. Or you can cycle, take a tour bus - there are public transit bus and taxi stops outside the building - or hire a bicycle rickshaw, romantic- horse-drawn carriage, water taxi, or drive yourself – the choice is yours!

* Due to building restrictions, guests must book a minimum stay of 90 days.
* When you request to book a stay in our condo, please tell us about yourself and those who may be travelling with you. And kindly note the purpose(s) of your trip – i.e. what are you coming to Victoria for?
* We are a no smoking building. Those who choose to smoke in the unit or on the balcony will be charged $500 for doing so – this is in line with the size of the fine that the strata can fine us for breaking the non-smoking bylaws.
Cancellation Policy
We never know when something may happen, so we always recommend you purchase trip cancellation insurance. Once you confirm your reservation it is still refundable less a $100 administrative fee up until you are within 60 days of travel. Once you are within 60 days of travel your reservation becomes 100% non refundable. If you are making your reservation within 60 days of travel please be certain before you book as it will be immediately non refundable.
House Rules
• Quiet hours are between 10:00PM and 7:00AM. Please respect our neighbours and be thoughtfully quiet during these times. We will ask that they do the same. • No smoking, vaping or drug use allowed anywhere in the property or building grounds. This means no smoking or vaping of any combustible material or illegal drug use in any form in the unit, on the balcony or anywhere on the common grounds. This is a rule for the entire building and we will pass along the fine we receive from the strata as well as the costs to remove the smoke smell or related remediation from the property, if this rule is ignored. • No unregistered guests are allowed to stay in the unit and parties are prohibited
PLEASE NOTE: Violation of any of the HOUSE RULES will result in the immediate cancellation of the rental.

Wonderful stay on James Bay, Victoria
This was our second longer stay with Vanessa and we can't say enough about how welcome and comfortable she makes us feel as our host.
The location is great for walking and access to everything.
The building is great the apartment very well appointed and neighbours are awesome.

The heart of Victoria
We just completed a three month stay here, and it was fabulous. The apartment is relatively new, well appointed, modern, clean and bright, and the location is second to none…literally minutes to the inner harbour, legislature, and shopping. Famous Dallas road is a 10 minute walk away, as is Beacon Hill Park. The owner is wonderful and responsive.
