Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at the beach was great. I have rented multiple cabins over the years. This cabin was probably not a cabin I'd want to stay in again. One of the railings was loose. The mini-blinds need repairs. The mirror in entry had fallen off the wall. LR Ceiling fan worked sometimes. Window seals and floors were dirty. There were ants coming into the kitchen & the LR windows. Bug guy came out and sprayed, but the ants kept coming. I've always had great cabiins with Sweedes. This was not the norm.

The house was perfect for us, we had granddaughters from 14 to 21 with us. It was well kept, close walk to the beach and all around a good place to stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay. The house was just the right Size for our family and comfortable. I rated the cleanliness of the property a 3 due to the counteracts were sticky and the stove top was greasy plus the floors were sandy and the inside bottom plastic shower curtain was moldy. I went ahead and cleaned it all up. I had the option of calling the office to send over a cleaning crew but then it would taken hours away from getting checked in. I did call about the fridge leaking water and the dryer not stopping once the door was opened. The beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet which was a plus. Overall Swedes staff were very accommodating and great to work with. We will rent from them again.

Everything was amazing, only down side was the house needs a really good deep clean. Also make sure you read the description really well. There is no liens provided unless you specially request them.

Place needs serious cleaning

Upon arrival there were ants crawling around in the microwave, some had been smushed and killed up against the microwave door. Sauce stains on the cabinets, in the fridge, on top the kitchen trash can, on the wall where the trash can was located. Bathroom and tub weren’t cleaned at all, you could clearly see where the last guests placed their personal items on the counter near the sink because it left marks on the countertop. Nothing in this place was cleaned when I checked in. Luckily I brought cleaning supplies so I had to clean and wipe down everything myself before my family and friends arrived. The place was spacious and had a great deck with chairs. I just wish it was clean. There were a few lights that were out too. I get that this is obviously an older house but someone could have done a better job the upkeep, especially before a paying guest arrives.

There’s a rat poops in the kitchen drawers and there’s a cockroach inside the cabinet

It’s a nice area, but inside is dirty, there’s still have a coffee filter inside the maker where it’s very nasty looking cause there’s a mold growled, there’s a rat poop in the drawers and a cockroach in the cabinets. The carpets are dirty. If you have someone stay in these kind of place and charge them that much, I would say make sure it’s clean at least

Not Impressed

No notice before we arrived that the beach house had no vehicle access to the beach. The cleaning lady was there when we arrived at 12:45 PM check in was noon. She did not finish cleaning. The Spoon Bill needs a deep clean, we left it cleaner than we found it. Oh and the lawn service cut the grass while we were there and didn't clean the grass from under the house! What a mess.The weather was great and we enjoyed the family get together. Last year we were at the Gull which was much nicer. I won't go with a third party again to rent. Swede's didn't give a thought that we were not happy I guess because I booked through someone else.
