Epic coast trip

Our family rented several units together. The convenience to the beach and the views will be a highlight since the weather was agreeable to beach time. Also, being able to stay in this unit made it an over the top experience. We loved how the unit was arranged and we felt like we were at home. Thanks and we will be back.

Perfect Family Getaway!

It was quiet, it was peaceful, there were whales, there were pizzas…very restful and relaxing! Could not recommend staying here enough if you’re looking for a quiet relaxing getaway.

Dont trust Google

Even though Google got us momentarily lost, this was such a perfect little spot to relax and enjoy watching the waves. We loved the beach access, and it was conveniently close to Yachats. Would stay again!

The cottage was perfect! We stayed for three nights over spring break with our two children (11 and 13) and our two English Labs. The beach was wide and very unpopulated which was perfect for the dogs to run around. There was a spigot with a hose attached for easy dog clean-up after getting all sandy. The windows on the west side of the cottage allowed for beautiful views of the beach. The amenities were perfect, beds clean and comfortable. Waldport and Yachats are both close and great for walking and exploring. My daughter loved doing the puzzles. Thank you for this wonderful stay! We will definitely be back

Beautiful beach location

Great location with views and simple access to the beach. Great space and features. You can hear the people upstairs when they move around, noticible at times but not a deal-breaker. Was a wonderful trip!

Perfect coastal getaway with dogs

Stayed at this property with our two dogs to have one last vacation before our first child arrives. The property was clean and as expected. We loved the short walk to the beach. Located south of Newport made it feel like we weren’t in the heart of the tourist area. Waldport was a very cute town as well, you gotta check out the Whittier’s Workshop.

Great spot, but noisy

Loved everything about it, except that you could hear the tenants in the unit above. If that doesn’t bother you, I’d definitely stay there again. If you’re looking for complete peace and silence, I’d choose an upstairs unit or find another place.

This was a great place - very clean and just a few steps to the beach! The only negatives I would give were that there wasn't any conditioner in the bathroom. Just a 3-in-1 (shampoo, body wash, bubble bath) product. Long hair needs conditioner especially with the salt air and wind! And there wasn't a wine opener in the kitchen. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay!

Spring Break getaway

This cottage on the beach was perfect for our family of 5. It was spacious enough for all and clean upon arrival. Stocked with essentials, and a nice short walk out to the beach. If the weather had been nice, we would of loved using the chairs on the front porch but it was pretty cold and wet unfortunately. I had found this cottage and was very excited to be so close to the beach so we could just walk right out but the weather wasnt cooperating during our stays which was disappointing but the cottage was perfect. I would stay there again and highly recommend.

Great stay!

We had a great stay at Sanderling Sea Cottages. We visited mid-October to avoid the crowds and had the beach more or less to ourselves. Accommodations were very clean and we had everything we needed. It is a dog friendly place so expect to see dogs! We were in a downstairs unit and did hear guests in the unit above us moving around but they were courteous so it wasn't really an issue. The cottages are located right on Hwy 101 which I suppose could be an issue, traffic and noise wise, but we were also right on the beach which was a priority for us. Check in and out was easy. We didn't have any issues so never had to contact management. Overall we were very satisfied with the Sea Cottages and would definitely stay there again.

Nice unit but too many dogs

Sanderling Sea Cottages unit 4 is a nice unit on the beach. The property manager is very responsive to inquiries. Evolve does a terrible disservice to the owner and manager by sending heaps of spam. The offshore Evolve staff is friendly but of no service. The unit was fairly clean. It appears the entire area is marketed to dog owners and as a result the cottages are somewhat overrun with dogs. It shows on the inside with all the dog slobber on the low windows and sliding glass doors. Outside expect a lot of dogs. We only had one that was aggressive but it really detracts from the stay and your beach walks. Expect a lot of dog crap on the beach and all the dogs are off leash. Nice kitchen but fairly sparse on utensils, but you can get by. Drip coffee maker really needs to be cleaned for the coffee to be drinkable. There are a couple of electrical issues so expect to reset breakers to make the heat pump and oven work. Our upstairs neighbors were pretty quiet but you could get noise depending on who is upstairs. Nice washer and dyrer, but lint filter had never been cleaned.

Beautiful unit, but significant noise issues from above.We have stayed at the Sanderling location many times and have always had wonderful experiences. However, during this stay, we ran into severe noise issues. For our first week, a large group of 8 to 10 people with toddlers stayed directly above us. Because it is a two-story building, the noise from upstairs was constant throughout the day and well into the evening. On several nights around 2:00 AM, we were jolted awake by toddlers crying loudly, sounding so close it felt as though they had fallen right out of bed. While the unit itself is very nice and well-maintained, the lack of sound insulation made this a very unpleasurable stay compared to our past visits.

Great stay but you should know

Everything about this stay was amazing just be aware the upstairs neighbors where a bit loud and could hear them walking around late at night.

Fantastic get away

Really enjoyed the manager, housekeeper, and property with the beach assess and memorizing views are top notch. The pet friendly and quietness made for an all around delightful stay. The check in was delayed by 2 hours and 20 minutes, but the kindness and well mannered communications were a fair trade.

Perfect Family Getaway

Without reservation, this was absolutely perfect for a quiet extended weekend for our family of four including two young kids and dog! The unit was spotless when we arrived. It could have passed as being brand new. Kudos to the cleaners and site manager who was very courteous. The unit is perfectly laid out with a great master bed looking out to the beach. The construction and appliances are very nice, not cheap like a rental that is expected to be abused, but it was still relatively childproof so we didn't stress about the kids causing damage or getting hurt. Soap, towels, trash bags, etc were provided in bulk. The beach is quiet and uncrowded and the overall location is nice. Only 5min to Yachats and the great restaurants there, 5min to Waldport for groceries, and less than 30min to Newport.
