Sweet 2BRM + 1BATH COTTAGE with Lake Access + Mooring! FISH! BOAT!

This quaint cottage has been recently updated with a new couch and new mattresses! It sits on the south west side of Burt lake with 316' feet of shared Burt Lake frontage. Situated in a private setting on a quiet road with a front porch with seating on the lake side of the cottage with some nice Burt Lake views. This year-round cottage is in a great location for skiing and boating! Dock is shared between cottage renters and owners but boats can be kept on mooring pins. Renters' boats cannot be stored on the dock.

The Kings Pointe Association has several common areas that are considered communal use for all renters. The access to the firepit, playground and lake are available to all renters in the association cottages.

Nice quiet place

Everything was good. Bathroom is tight but very doable. Common for cottages like that one. Parking excellent. Met all our needs.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was very nice. Many spices and kitchen supplies and even a nice bottle of wine! There were plenty of soaps, shampoos and other bathroom supplies too. We really didn’t need to bring much! We wish the beds (or at least one) were queens. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage was very nice. The pictures on Vrbo were a bit misleading as the cottage was not right on the water and the campfire pit was a community campfire. We had to walk through peoples property in order to get to the water. Overall it was a nice place to stay but we were a bit disappointed about the lack of water frontage and bonfire.

Thank you for your comment. The King's Point Association has several common areas that are considered communal us for all cottage renters within the association. Renters are more than welcomed to use the fire pit, playground, and Burt Lake waterfront. There are quite a few houses in the area that might have made it feel like you were on someone else's property, but we assure you- that space is for your use too! We hope you'll come back again. We would be happy to have you!

We were not clear about the lakefront association and what we had access to, including the dock and other shared amenities. We were unclear where to deposit trash, which was a large, commercial dumpster at the end of the road. There was no lighting to read in bed and no bedside table or shelf over the beds for personal items, like eyeglasses. The cottage was cozy. It is a great place for base camp. If you are planning on lots of food preparation, this is not the kitchen for you. We stayed in October and it was very quiet. Heats quickly in cooler weather. Lovely shower and lots of glorious hot water. On our guide to the cottage, it mentioned that rentals may be placed on the market and we may be informed of a potential showing. Enjoyed the Roku movies. Couch was comfortable and a footstool would have really improved our stay. Great, new fridge with an ice maker!

Few suggestions

The property was clean and had a nice location with the lake just across the street. A few suggestions would be to place ceiling fans in all of the rooms since there is no air conditioning. Also, the shower needed updated and to be better cleaned, change out the shower head and place a new curtain. Also make sure the water heater is turned on high so there is hot water when your guests wish to shower. My first shower was very chilling. My husband had to turn the water heater up so the water became warm.

Hi Shauna- Thank you for your review. The cottage actually does have air conditioning. Next time, let us know and we can stop by and assist with turning it on if you need! The shower curtain and head are being replaced. Sorry about the water heater. Sometimes guests turn them down if they have small children. We will make sure to check that from now on. We hope that you still had a nice time and work to improve the cottage and the experience for future guests.

Dirty and Stale

The unit is caked with dust and dirt. The air conditioning did not work at all: worse, the system fan was inoperable so air could not circulate. The only air movement was from a small 8 inch plastic fan that was caked with dust. The floors are very saggy and tilted.
