This was our second time at this property. It is very cozy and comfortable. The setting right on Lake Michigan is perfect. We walked along the beach and enjoyed an evening fire in the fire pit. We will be back.

On the Lake in Baileys Harbor

We loved our accommodations. Everything was warm and cozy. Enjoyed coffee in the morning out by the lake. great location to scoobi doo to the rest of Door county

Great get away with friends

Absolutely gorgeous view. Enjoyed the mornings on the patio, drinking coffee while watching the water. The sandy beach was nice. Liked that you are just minutes from town.

Wonderful property

We have enjoyed staying at this property several times. The property is great. What makes us unhappy is the fact that the service and cleaning fees have become excessive. Repeat customers should get a break when we have a perfect history of leaving a property better than when we arrived.

Wildwood is a great cottage with sunrise and sunset views!

We do love this little cottage right on the sandy beach in the middle of Bailey's Bay. It sure is too bad that during recent renovations all of the windows were painted shut!

So Relaxing

This cozy cabin in Bailey’s Harbor was just what my family needed. So cozy, yet lots of space for everyone. We played some of the board games, walked the beach, watched the sun come up, close to town. It was the most relaxed I’ve been on a vacation in I don’t know how long. We all agreed that we didn’t want to leave. We hope we can come back again someday!

Perfect Beach House

We had an excellent stay, five stars all around. Firewood and lighter fluid are provided, chairs to take by the beach. There is a Keurig machine FYI. There were no issues with the blinds, there are instructions on how to use them; we were concerned about that because of past reviews. We were able to check in early. Beautiful location, beautiful beachfront, and the house was clean and cozy and charming.

Solid stay, good property.

This is a good northwoods cabin on a beachfront. The price after fees is pretty high, but I guess you're paying mostly for the beach. So make sure you want it and use it! Close to most of what's best to do, walking distance to a great nature center, and it was quiet and clean. Like any VRBO it has quirks like sticky doors, but nothing that really hampered the stay. We (UN-ironically) enjoyed the board games and CD player at night.

How COULD they?

The cottage had all the windows painted shut! Thank goodness the high temp was 55, but in a week or two it will become a furnace. How could they not have known that?

Good place, needs attention

The location is perfect for us, near Bailey's Harbor and across the road from the Ridges. Place is clean and beds are excellent. It is a property that needs attention. The blinds that a previous guest cited still don't work. And the windows themselves are very difficult to work, need lubrication. I bought WD40 but they are still difficult. There was no expected wifi password as promised in the information sent by management company, no extra blanket, no hair dryer, items I have come to expect in the dozen or so places I have rented. These are not expensive, but need attention.

Nice location, but needs cleanup.

The location was great. Check-in was a breeze, but the key was not secured when we got there. The front beach area and yard desperately need a clean up. There were 2 large piles of tree trimmings and the grass was overgrown for the whole yard. Beds were comfortable. The internet was turned off when we got there but still didn't work after powered on. Rain forced us to stay at the house for about 8 hours so having to use data instead of being able to access Wi-Fi was frustrating. To be fair I did not contact the host as troubleshooting Wi-Fi is not something I wanted to spend my time doing. (We could connect to the Wi-Fi but didn't have internet.) The instructions for leaving were confusing as the initial email for instructions was different than the printed copy left for guests. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We gave this property a 5 overall rating because the location is incredible. Having the cottage right on the beach was amazing. We hope to return next year. We do have a few suggestions. It was difficult to work with Evolve. I asked them specific questions and they had no knowledge of the property. Example: I asked if there were fire ring chairs and if there were fans in the bedrooms. They did not know. So we brought camp chairs and would not have needed to. The online listing needs to be updated to say there are beach chairs, picnic table and bedroom ceiling fans. A House "book" would help listing TV station numbers, where things were located like the first aid kit and general information about the area. It was nice that there was cable, internet and games. The locations is so beautiful and peaceful it made everything seem perfect. The ease of check out was great. We were grateful to check in early.

updating

The house needs a lot of updating. There's no dishwasher, but washing dishes was ok. The 10 cup coffee pot could be replaced, stove is missing a knob and the shower needs a deep clean to rid it of the possible mold on the tile (black spots). The bed in the room with the ceiling fan is absolutely awful! It was so soft I’d sink into the sponge mattress topper. The 3 nights I slept in it were beyond restful. The beach needs some serious clearing of all the grasses. The first night that we came home from shopping the outside of the house was covered with gnats so, when you opened the door, they all came in. Yuck. A bug zapper would be wonderful. The antiques in the house were gorgeous. The Blue Delph dishes scattered around the house were beautiful and we enjoyed looking at them very much. After a day of exploring Door County, it was absolutely delightful to walk out the back door onto the beach and watch the sunrise or sunset, watch the birds sit on the sand bars and then fly away with their catch. We enjoyed each and every night on the beach, we even had a small fire two nights! After all is said and done, we would recommend people to rent your house. Donna

First Impression

Great location, very quaint. Had everything we needed. Outside of house needs cleaning, wasn’t very appealing for first impression. Couldn’t get the fireplace to work even though instructions were there. Blinds in bedrooms don’t go down. All in all it was a good time and would stay again.

Lake Michigan Cottage

This was a beautiful location right on the lake, lots of sand. The cottage was cozy and lovely. Check in and Check out were very easy. We would go here again.
