Private beach access across the street-2BR Cottage in the woods-amazing sunsets

Recently updated 2 BR cottage nestled in the woods. Sleeps 4 adults and 2 small children on pull outs.
One bedroom has a Queen and the other has 2 twin beds that can be converted to a King. Has a large deck with outdoor dining for 6 , fire pit (bring your own wood) and the private sandy beach is minutes away across the street.
The public beach at Balm Beach is a 5 minute walk. Midland and Penetang are 12-15 min away by car where there is a Walmart, grocery stores, shopping, etc

The Chateau is part of a compound known as Tondakea Lodge which consists of three 2 bedroom cabins, one 4 bedroom house, and one 2 bedroom house; all bookable through VRBO (See bottom of this description).

Located across the street from our private beach, at the edge of a 27 acre forest, the Tondakea Lodge once was the home and school of Franz Johnston, of the Group of Seven artists, and later became a resort in the 50s. Although updates have been made over the years the buildings still retain their original charm and rustic feel.

IMPORTANT:
1. The property is on a well so you must bring your own water.
2. Terrain around the property and on the beach is natural and uneven and so is unsuitable for those with wheel chairs or mobility issues
3. You must bring your own linens and towels
4. No visitors permitted without prior approval

Enjoy a walk through the forest, go for a swim in the crystal clear waters of Georgian Bay, or take a 10-15 min walk along the water to Balm Beach where you will find The Balm Beach Smokehouse, Binghams’s Variety that has an ice cream parlour and an LCBO, the Georgian Grill & Family Arcade for burgers and Greek food, and beach store that usually rents paddle boards
